  • Inspired in one of the Paul's Sellers collection of hand planes, I decided to make my own one as similar as possible in an easy way and using hand tools. In this video you can see the step by step.

I love the idea of using the mirror to keep an eye on the other side of the cut. That's a problem I have always had, to be following the line on my side and have the other side go off track. I look forward to trying that out.

Wow - i have been toying with the idea of either buying or making a router plane. I've watched several videos on some hand-made ones and tested out a few Stanley's and Veritas ones.
But - your design and execution shown on this video has convinced me that i ought to make my own. I am going to follow your design, just perhaps a little larger.
Very beautifully and well done there. +1 Sub Thumbs Up!!!

I'm very happy to hear that, the idea of making it larger will allow you to make bigger pressure with stronger woods. I would love to see the result if you finally encourage to make it. Thanks for the comment Erik!!

Wow! Its amazing to see someone take so much pride in thier work, a lot of videos with people making everything, but with use of machinery, and all so proud of themselves, even though they only done 1/8 of the work...
Great video! By far the best diy video ive seen. Keep up the great work^_^

Se lo ve hermoso, creo que voy a tratar de fabricarme uno muy similar. El sistema de ajuste es ko suficientemente fuerte para que no se mueva la cuchilla? Saludos
