OMG! I don't think I've ever been more stressed watching a video. Watching that priceless hero phaser being ripped apart and then attempting to force it back together so clumsily was almost more than my heart could take. Have a defibrillator handy when you watch this video!

What you called next generation bird of prey was actually The Original Series and the Botany Bay model you showed off was also used in The Ultimate Computer the Woden a cargo ship converted to automation that the M-5 multitronic Computer installed on board the Enterprise destroyed .

Watching this video stressed me out to no end! If you don’t own it, don’t touch it. I was afraid something would break. Thank goodness nothing broke. At the very least, use white gloves when handling props and costumes of this importance. Thank you for the video.

Regarding gloves, they’re primarily needed to protect corrosion-sensitive metals, photographs, and on a case-by-case; otherwise, many materials can withstand limited hand oil if hands are washed, dried, and free of lotion or sanitizer. In fact, the full dexterity of bare hands can sometimes be preferable, reducing risk of physical damage / dropping. [Also, when they are worn, white cotton has been largely phased out in favor of nitrile since fibers can catch on fragile surfaces.]
So he was likely okay in simply touching most of this stuff with clean hands…
But I do agree that the *manner* of handling in these videos has come across as a bit excessive and indeed stress-inducing at multiple points (especially the earlier one-handed X-wing carry). As much as I appreciate show-and-tells and respect Dave’s experience, I'd be grateful in the future for more consideration of viewers’ blood pressure - including fellow bidders.

Maybe you shouldn't watch stressful videos.

Just for fun: Dr. McCoy was my daughter:s #1 fave of the 3. He made a very profound impression on her that still resonayes to this dau, though she didnt pursue medicine because of it. For me, he has always been my 2nd fave. Thanks for this video. I SO wanted to get something, but the pieces I wanted most were out of my price range at their opening price. Considered splurging on one of the less expensive pueces, but my pragmatic side won out. Still have moments when I wish I'd tried for something. Little pieces of "history" that have meant so much to so many. Enjoyed this.

This stuff should be in the Smithsonian or at least Ticonderoga or somewhere where fans can enjoy it.

Yeah, for the sake of me being able to continue watching these vids, going forward dont touch the priceless stuff. Love the passion and enthusiasm but its all being derailed by this mishandling bruh.

All the handling of these items was completely unnecessary. Especially without gloves and the somewhat rough nature of the handling. Considering how much these items went for, I wouldn't expect this kind of treatment of these artifacts.

I wish there was a live price on each item. And each fingerprint from Dave's hands either increases value or decreases value. (Aka veep fingerprints or eurotrip fingerprints)

First of all… who the HELL is this guy? Why does he have permission to handle these priceless props the way he is? And, he got several things wrong calling the Klingon K't'inga class ship model a “Bird of Prey” and Kirk’s dress tunic the “Admiral
Kirk” uniform. I mean, c’mon. A real Trek fan would know these simple things, yet this guy is handling these treasures like they’re his own personal property. Who is this dolt and why is he being allowed to touch these things?
