Yeah basically since it's nonstick it's just like a nonstick pan and therefor you wash it like a nonstick pan. I just bought the 22 inch two days ago and gave it its first washing yesterday. I'll hopefully have time to use it within the next couple of days for the first time.
It's advertised as non stick it should be just as good as nonstick skillets for the stove. The surface must wear over time because mine just keeps getting worse.
😂I don’t know why you using a abrasion pad in the Blackstone manual it says DO NOT wash the griddle top in the dishwasher, and AVOID using anything that may scratch the surface, including metal scouring pads and abrasive cleaners. And everything your doing in this video screams red flags bells and whistles going off 🎉
its not really a steel wool it a cloth that has a light rough surface and i havent had any issues like i said i only clean it like this when it gets really caked on
Glad for the info on the seasonings since I love to use different ones....
Me too!
Use barkeepers friend (it’s a polish for stainless) it will get the brown off and make it look brand new again… my wife used it on ours.
I'm gonna look into this
Get the E series hot and add warm water for steam wipe dry. I never had an issue that way.
BLESS YA BROTHER thanks for the info!!!
Great information, thank you!
you are very welcome

yea i think it must mine is starting to show some wear
I always put it on 500 and hit it with some water and paper towels. It will steam that stuck stuff off.
yea i do to but i also like doing a really good clean every few cooks. its just me lol
You may want to be careful doing so... This sounds like a recipe for possibly warping your griddle.
As was the case here (6:40) - ua-cam.com/video/z08khg3wqPE/v-deo.html
@@RvFlip19 yep that’s what happen to me. I just sent a picture to Blackstone so I’m see if they will give me an exchange
@@eddieolachia5305 did BS replace the griddle part
Thank you for video!!
You are welcome!!
thanks for the video
You're welcome
How do you clean the grease off of the glass on the lid?
i just take the screws out and pull out the glass and clean it in the sink
DAWN! great on food grease thats all i use!
Not supposed to use any non stick spray on these griddles
Yeah you really shouldn't have to but you do unfortunately sometimes you do
Never use a scrub pad
As long as it’s not abrasive I’ve never scratched up my surface the one I use in the video is like a wash cloth
Try majic eraser
Never thought of that thanks

my pad i use is not abrasive at all its very soft and I have not had any problems with the surface being scratched or the coating coming off
Have you got any black stuff stuck on the surface ? Or the corner bow up on you yet
Is that steel wool? I thought you couldn’t use steel wool to clean it? How’s the non stick working after
i have stains in the middle of the griddle and it does bow up if i add cold meat to it i usually wait for meat to get to room temp

@@cookingwithduckie and what do you clean it with when it isn’t
@@eddieolachia5305 i let it heat to aroun 300 degrees and just use warm water and paper towels
Bruh, a SINGLE drop of dawn would have been enough!
but a drizzle is better
You just destroyed you griddle the way you cleaned it…
not at all its still very slick and stick free i didnt use any abrasive rags or liquids! But thanks for the in put
