Do you think that the issue with people’s perception of “non-innovation” is that the cycles of fashion have just not lended well to the shoes these technologies are in? Cause for the few efforts Nike has tried to make to bring tech like the Air/Zoom Strobel to the Dunk, or unlocked Zoom pods to casual Nike Sportswear, they just don’t seem to take off. React seems like the last innovation that Nike was able to shift into different product categories for the athlete and the layman.

Ten-fold issue on both the consumer and seller side of the equation. There are so many reasons it would require a two-semester class to get through the first two problems: too many options and an impatient consumer. We've been in a flick to scroll society for over ten years. It's limited engagement time with consumers. If an image/video isn't immediately attention grabbing, the finger flicks or scrolls to the next item. This diminished the amount of time a brand has to explain. Live television is dead so you don't get cool commercials with slo-mo imagery of a collapsing Air bubble, or Vince Carter demonstrating "Boing" with Shox. The amount of product on walls at shoe stores provides option, but there isn't any room to feature even an athlete poster on the interior of a store. You can only visually merchandise the window which is unseen because people are on their phones. You asked a great question, but your question is the foundation of a thesis for a book.
