Just ordered a pair of size 11. Can’t wait to try them. I have an older Nike zoom fly from 2019. I most run 5 kilometers . I am 65 and have. Been running for 8 years. 177 lb.
They are light, they are smooth and they are stable. I loved the AF V2, but felt it was too bulky and too heavy towards the end of the marathon. The laces are now almost 100% straight on V3, instead of the slanted design, which works much better with the Stryd footpod and the air port. They are not as poppy as the V1 in my session testing, but I also suffered in the V1 in the last 5km of the marathon due to calves that just weren't up to the task with the 4mm drop. I never experienced any arch issues in any version of the AF.
Great review Ben. Fair play to you for calling out the nonsense on Launch Day, I was gutted to miss out on a pair and then see all the resellers on eBay and StockX!

Just picked up a pair at my local running store. Last pair in stock just happened to be my size. They feel so good, that it’s actually gonna be hard not to use them as my trainers. I don’t race, so no need to save them for any special occasions. I think I will save them for my Sunday long runs though. Can’t wait to get my first run in with them.
@@thamwisai1 Surprisingly good. I had an injured knee when I got them…but still laced them up for a 10K run. Ended up with a PB on my 5K distance, during that run. Seeing you run makes me feel that my running mechanics are complete trash. Even considering that my interval pace (60s) is similar to your 5k pace in the video (around 3:40/k), I am going all out with a cadence of 200. On the other hand your run looks smooth and almost effortless 😭
Very impressed with the AF3, didn't buy the AF2 due to the arch issues that everyone was going on about but felt nothing major with the AF3. The grip, for a racing shoe is phenomenal and the best I've had on any carbon plated race shoe. I just ordered a hat from you. I love the design and quality. I'm really happy to support you. I love the honesty and how unbiased your reviews are. How do they compare to the V1. I didn't run in the V2 because of the weight gain.
It's so long ago that I ran in v1.. and I don't have a pair anymore, so didn't have anything to compare it to I'm afraid to refresh my memory.. but very roughly I found v1 and v2 pretty similar. The ride was slightly firmer in v2 compared to v1.. and v1 had a 4mm drop.. then v2 and v3 have a 8mm drop, so that will feel quite different as you will feel propelled forward a bit more. Thank you for the hat order! :-)
Interesting you like them so much. Just done a session in them today and felt it was hard work and that very familiar clumpy feeling especially in our large sizes. Maybe I am too slow these days LOL but they are not replacing my much more favoured Vaporflys any time soon. My UK 13 ones are 291g BTW - quite a lot more than I think you said 267g in a 12. Curious also why you get 0.5 or even full size more in these than other Nike shoes? All my Nike shoes are UK 13.
I bought the Alpha v2 in January, and used them only twice at race pace. What's weird is that I only had blisters on my left foot. I presumed it was my gate, but when I look inside, the placement of the insole is different between the two. My main race is April for the Zurich marathon and I don't feel I can risk using them. The good side, I knocked 5 and a half mins off my half marathon time, and other than going all out for the last section, I don't think I'd have been gassed by the end had I squandered 30s or so. Amazing shoe, still happy I bought them, but very disappointed I won't wear them race day.

They are brilliant at supporting you when getting tired. Looking forward to getting the 3’s.

I don't think that there should be more supply when we talk about a prototype color way. The whole idea of prototypes is to be limited and now when they are launching it in the middle of winter, it's perfect timing for limited supply. They build up hype for the real launch in February or March. The question is whether they will then have enough pairs or not. Vaporfly 4%s and the first Next%s, namely green and pink disappeared quickly but since then Nike has been able to produce a lot of pairs.
Weird. I always hear this slapping sound during races from all the Alphaflys. But I don't hear it with mine. Do I have a different foot strike? I also seem to wear down outsoles a lot slower.
Hi Ben I’m from Australia and I can confirm a few shops had a raffle system going that made sure they went to runners, but unfortunately sneaker resellers got most of the stock in Australia and they just ended up online for triple the price 😒
It will always happen.. that's life. Was good to see that some local shops at least tried to get them in the hands of people who will actually use them for running!
Title: A Critical Analysis of the Disappointing Performance: A Running Shoe Review Introduction: As an avid runner and enthusiast, I recently stumbled upon a highly praised running shoe review video that claimed to showcase the epitome of athletic footwear. Eager to enhance my running experience, I eagerly dove into the content, only to find myself grappling with disappointment and frustration as I delved deeper into the intricacies of the shoe's performance. This essay aims to critically analyze the shortcomings that, in my opinion, overshadow any positive attributes highlighted in the review. Comfort and Fit: One of the key factors that any runner prioritizes when choosing a pair of running shoes is comfort. Unfortunately, the shoe in question fell short in this critical aspect. The video emphasized the plush cushioning and ergonomic design, but my personal experience contradicted these claims. The insole, touted for its superior support, proved to be lacking in the necessary cushioning for extended runs, leaving me with sore feet and blisters. Furthermore, the promised optimal fit was a far cry from reality. Despite the video's assurance of a snug and secure fit, the shoe failed to provide the necessary stability during lateral movements. This lack of support not only compromised my running performance but also raised concerns about the shoe's potential to cause injuries over time. Durability and Build Quality: A running shoe that cannot withstand the rigors of regular use is, in essence, a failed investment. The video highlighted the shoe's durable construction and high-quality materials, yet my experience suggested otherwise. After a mere few weeks of consistent use, the outsole began to show signs of premature wear and tear, casting doubt on the longevity of the product. Moreover, the upper mesh, purportedly designed for breathability and flexibility, proved to be more flimsy than functional. Instead of offering proper ventilation, the material retained moisture, leading to discomfort and an unpleasant odor after each run. This oversight in build quality raises questions about the manufacturer's commitment to delivering a reliable product. Performance on Different Terrains: A high-performance running shoe should excel on various terrains to cater to the diverse needs of runners. Unfortunately, the shoe showcased in the video struggled to deliver consistent results across different surfaces. While it performed adequately on well-maintained tracks, its traction and grip faltered on uneven or slippery terrain, jeopardizing my safety and diminishing my confidence in the shoe's capabilities. Conclusion: In conclusion, the running shoe reviewed in the video failed to live up to the expectations set by the enthusiastic review. The promises of comfort, durability, and versatile performance were overshadowed by the harsh reality of subpar design and functionality. As consumers, it is essential to approach such reviews with a critical eye and consider a range of perspectives before investing in a product that claims to revolutionize the running experience. My hope is that future reviews take a more balanced approach, shedding light on both the positive and negative aspects to guide potential buyers towards informed decisions.
I know, I had a pair that I loved, but the outsole torn apart right behind the pods after 130km. I returned them and bought the Vaporfly 2 at the time. However, it seems that Nike is not going to release a V2 of that model, unfortunately (for me, at least, because although it gets so much hate, during those 130km, it was super fast and I loved every minute of running in it).@@i.p2088

Vaporfly 4%s and the first Next%s, namely green and pink disappeared quickly but since then Nike has been able to produce a lot of pairs.
For which pace is it recommended?
Weird. I always hear this slapping sound during races from all the Alphaflys. But I don't hear it with mine. Do I have a different foot strike? I also seem to wear down outsoles a lot slower.
How many miles do you get out of these, crazy prices,
Hope to run sub 3 in Chicago in these (at age 61) Just won't be in the Volt/Blue color way coming out next UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
How easy is to put them on?
How long do they last?
I got a pair at launch here in America. Not touching it until my goal race!
I’d say do put them on before that since you’ll need to break them in/get used to it by putting some miles on it my g
Achieved my personal best for 10km running in them
what watch is that worn in the video?
I had a pair of Alphafly 1's, they destroyed my feet, swear i got injured wearing them, was a nightmare. Said I'd never run in one again!
Is this up size like next 2 ? Or true size
What does the number written on the shoe mean?
Title: A Critical Analysis of the Disappointing Performance: A Running Shoe Review
Introduction:
As an avid runner and enthusiast, I recently stumbled upon a highly praised running shoe review video that claimed to showcase the epitome of athletic footwear.
Comfort and Fit:
One of the key factors that any runner prioritizes when choosing a pair of running shoes is comfort.
Durability and Build Quality:
A running shoe that cannot withstand the rigors of regular use is, in essence, a failed investment.
Performance on Different Terrains:
A high-performance running shoe should excel on various terrains to cater to the diverse needs of runners.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the running shoe reviewed in the video failed to live up to the expectations set by the enthusiastic review.
Looks like I need to go a buy them now 😂😂 love the look of the ones that are going out on launch.
Alpha 3 or vapor 3s If you could only own one?
So, there are some shoes that are worth the asking price. This might be one of them?
Go Ben for the sub 3-30 at Seville with those AF. Please !! 😊
Does anyone know if it’s wider? Like I had to return my alpha fly 2s cuz I would loose circulation after about 3 miles. Even when the laces were out.
I’ve only ever worn Nike since I started running
I need new ones and might get these
did you go for your tts? :)
What colorway is this
if they are that fast then hopefully you can get closer to your pb!!! good luck
Good luck in Seville!
I just got a pair for $128 I had a 65% discount and love them, but they are really loud.
Love the air pods for long runs at slow pace and fast pace.. Just a unique experience.
Me too, I wish Nike would release a trainer version of AP3 with the air pods.
@@ucatani They have the Tempo.
I’m a size 11 are they true to size or should I get a 11.5 ?
Maybe 11.5 just in case because of.5 isn’t a massive difference tbh
Out of stock in 10 mins (green version) how many do they make? 😂
I am soooo excited to buy these shoes :D
Do youbelieve it is faster than the banned shoes?
You're a size 12? How tall are you?
Prototype colorway make me miss Virgil😞 it gives off major og off white nike collab vibes and Virgil put ts on fr
