Great vids as always and hope you have a great day
Thanks Ed! As far as mushroom farming, did you know that once you have the surfboard if you go to the Soggy Swamp entrance from Woodlow harbor and then use the surfboard to go east from the scent shop, you can find an area with a TON of mushroom spawns and no grass. It's clearly a pocket meant for farming the mushrooms.
I had a setup for finding potent/perfect coromon in the water. Its ideal cause instead of walking around to run into encounters, i press a button and text shows to tell me if i found a coromon or not. This is IMPERATIVE to the strategy because when the textbox appears, it pauses the Potent scent timer, thus extending the life of the normally 6 minute duration to 40 mins to an hour. Allowing for MUCH more traffic of encounters.
If you wait for a muschoom which isnt blocked by grass, you can snip it, run until its out of the screen, run back and snip that same mushroom again, you can get 3 shrooms from one at most
I know I have already written a comment like this but for anyone that doesn't know: The 2 potent scents in the thunderous cave that were also in the Demo are still there, so you could theoretically start perfect hunting before you even get to Voltgar. If you don't know where they are just search it on YT there is a video that shows you the exact location
Thanks for the good information you're dropping in the recent time, I just got my first perfect wild encounter (Froshell) after watching your video for the newest patch notes and now I'm even more into farming.
thank you very much for the great guide Ed! i was wondering, since coromon spawn in specific grass patches unlike pkmn, could you make a guide on some of the best locations to hunt for perfect mons? so the spawntable is not to big and one encounters the desired mon more often. i would really appreciate such a guide and think it would be a very unique video 😁
I love this shiny system because it has “easier” shinies for casual players, and “harder” shinies for people who want a long hunt. Really wish Pokémon would implement something like this but I feel it’s too late into the life of Pokémon to change something like shinies.
Is there any gift for completing the database? Like the normal form data base. Then potent and then perfect. Basically is there a reason to catch them all?
Nah! Full odds Perfect hunt! That is the Borkers way! XD Seriously though, thanks a lot for the guide. And it might be just me, but damn! That "Battle with a Researcher" track is probably my favorite track of the entire OST. And there are a lot of good tracks in the Coromon's OST!
I’ve been checking every single day to see when they’ll put a new release date for switch 😞 I don’t use my computer all that much and this game looks like it deserves to not be forgotten in my barely used steam library
Yes, but it's a 16/3094 chance or 0.1%[rounded up.] it's going to take a while to get. Upside it's still more common than a full odds shiny in Pokemon.
If I use a potent scent and encounter a perfect coromon, not the one I'm hunting for, and still have a lot of time left would save scum be effective at that point?
Is it possible to get a perfect starter in android version, it would be really helpful since in 10 different potent starters I recieved, not only they were nowhere perfect, but also they had literally the same potential which seemed quite odd🙄
Hey so is an 18 potent not worth trying to roll on the Potentiflator? On the Coromon wiki it gives an approximate chance of 0.939 but wanted to know if its still not worth it for a perfect
Ok so if i catch a potent coromon with a potential value of 19 there is a chance i can max it out to 21? I mean is that possible with the latest patch of the game?
Is there a guide or a way to see the encounters rates % of areas and spots like the unofficial wiki for the demo? It will be very usefull for shiny hunting
Is there a chance you could go into further details with the potentiflator odds? Is it possible to get a 17 potent to a perfect? So far, I've done it with 18's, 19's and 20's before the new patch, and I've seen two different tables online that give different chances of getting certain levels to 21. Love your guides and info, and thank you!
Keep up with the food work man, all of this videos are super useful, After work i Will Watch It for sure since i'm farming for a f*uck*Ng perfect bittybolt that doesnt come out crapppppp 😑
I know im late to The game but is the nintendo switch the final version either way i bought it and im just enjoying it a lot. Im shiny hunting my starter 😅 since i saw you can encounter shiny in the game.
Gym Leader Ed I'm playing the demo on my phone, and I've already made some progress. Once the full game is released would I be able to play with my current team or would I have to start over.
I have a question: If the potent scent last for 6 minutes in game, how many minutes does it last in real life? Cause I swear those potent scents lasts way longer than 6 minutes irl.
I like Coromon a lot, but I have to say I don't think their shiny system is the best way to do it. For example, I'm not a fan of Cubzero's Perfect coloration but I want to use the strongest Cubzero I can get. I don't like not having a choice like I would with something like Pokémon. If we could at least change it so that we could visually "downgrade" shininess on our end (in PVP you'd see Coromon as they actually are on the opponent's side), then it would be much better.
Wait, we can freely change shiny in Pokemon ? Wow, since when ? And are they give Pokemon more than 2 shiny variant ? Better shiny system than coromon ? Wow
@@nether_prince3021 I never said Pokémon was better, or even good. But if I want a Pokémon with perfect stats and shininess, I can grind for that. In Coromon, I have to have them together even if I don't want to. That's the problem for me. Your sarcasm is not appreciated when we're trying to have a serious discussion about game mechanics. It's not even good sarcasm, either. Grow up.
I would not call it a shiny system. More like trade good colors for good stats because most of the perfect coromon colors are trash. This wouldn't be a big deal if the stat difference in late game was so huge
tbh the game is easy and short enough, it's not worth it min-maxing your Coromon like this. I only have 2/6 Potent on my lineup and beat the game just fine

Thanks for the tip. This seriously is the best farming stop.

And after using 3 hours worth of potent scents i still havent found a single perfect OR even a normally potent Quagoo. Depression...
I understand you, I also tried to find a perfect quagoo, it took me around 4 hours to find a 20 one
And what is that setup? Is there a move/trait that allows for instant encounters?
Or using potent scents where multi battles are common, fibio, serpike, Lumasect..
OK k🎉😊😢😢😢 6:18 😮⚜️
Loving the Coromon content. This game feels really fresh and everytime I put it down I'm itching to pick it back up!
I would like to see a guide on efficiently farming the mushrooms and crafting potent scents please

"you'll run into potent coromon often enough"
- me, who spent 8 hours on my day off potent hunting, only to end up empty handed.
T_T
potent? it's only a 1 in 35 chance. that's some nasty rng
Ya, potent. Not perfect. Really really sucked.
Thanks for the guide im feeling like a pro because of you
a mushroom farming guide is something I desperately need
So this is an underrated question. Could you do a guide on how to get all the outfits? LMAO or the skill flashes

is there a "false swipe" type move in this game? of so where can you find it?
It’s a flash technique (forget which one). You can get it before the first titan, that’s all I know
Tactical Slam, you can get it easy from the Armadillo mon.
can potenfilator upgrade a 19 to 21 I tried multiple times but it didn't work

You can hunt. Save b4 talking to the professor.

Please I would love a guide on potent scent as well as for the other scents 🙏
I know that this question is off topic but is there a monster tamer where you can be a villain or side with villains
"2 more rolls* does not strictly mean 3x probability, but means slightly below that

Awesome!
I have a perfect swampa, malavite, atlantern.. then of course eclyptor and Humbee.. currently hunting teravolt/bearealis
One time I had a 20 potential lunarwulf I give it to Oleg but it dosen,t work now I know why
Hey edd ,what happens when you finish the database?
Love from a HoodlumCallum and Vaush fan!

Gym Leader Ed I'm playing the demo on my phone, and I've already made some progress. Once the full game is released would I be able to play with my current team or would I have to start over.
You would be able to transfer the progress, I did it in my pc and it carries through
Important note if you have duplicate catch prevention enabled you cannot catch perfects or potents.
I really want to play on mobile but😔
