Selling those 52 head of cattle will sure save the amount of hay feeding your cattle this winter.
Definitely! We never had any real interest in keeping them long enough to need any hay for them, so it doesn’t affect our projected hay needs.
Hope you get a good check they all looked good and loved the banjo music .

She’s actually out of one of our Herefords, but just has that flighty gene from the Brahman influence .
The market was good on them, but they just didn’t gain as much weight as we’d hoped. I’ll have a full breakdown on how they did when I get my ticket in the mail.

They did pretty good as far as price. Like usual, they didn’t gain quite as much weight as we’d hoped, but really happy with the market

That 2nd load didn’t want anything to do with that truck!
They all loaded without much trouble. The alley to our load out is just a little wider than ideal, so we had a couple get turned around, but still all loaded without much issue.

yes, it gives them a small shock. doesnt hurt them at all just gets their attention.
Yeah, if any of them really balk he gives them a light touch. We don’t use them often, but it’s much less stressful on them, especially on a warm day, to use it when necessary to get them loaded in a timely manner
I sold some 150 calves i had some were 650 pounds steel Brong $1,000 inch then the rest of them were 700 and 800 pounds

50,000 lbs, so we could’ve fit about 70 or so of these girls

Yeah, market has dipped a little, but they actually did better than I was anticipating. Helps when we have them all vaccinated and in a big group

Why keep high headed cattle on your farm?
We don’t. That wild heifer and steer will be fed out this winter and in a freezer next spring.
