    I'm so glad I came across your channel. I never knew what this soup was called growing up but I loved it and missed it. Thanks for making it. I'll definitely have to make it in the future. 😁😁

    I absolutely love GB soup! I was introduced to Liberian food by some amazing friends (they were quite impressed that a white guy from Iowa would eat and love GB soup)! I have since moved and miss them and the wonderful Liberian foods they shared with me.
    I will have to make my own now that I have found a recipe that looks identical to what they made.
    Any chance you could do a video on pepper fish or pepper soup?

      @CookingwithWinn  3 роки тому

      I really don’t know if they have another name for it but the worlor seeds looks similar to bitter kola(the worlor is slippery but the bitter kola is not)

    • @CookingwithWinn
      @CookingwithWinn  3 роки тому

      yes, the apki seeds do look like the yellow seeds. I think that's it.

    What are the yellow seeds? Are they dried bitter balls ?and where can I get them

    • @CookingwithWinn
      @CookingwithWinn  3 роки тому

      No they are not dried bitter balls. They are from certain tree in my country ( I don't know the tree name). You can find it in an African/Liberian food market.

      It's mustard seed

    • @CookingwithWinn
      @CookingwithWinn  3 роки тому +1

      I don't think so because mustard seeds are smaller than the yellow seeds.
