Kratochvilova set an unbelievable World record aged 32 in the Women's 800m, in what was only her 2nd race at that distance. Personally, I don't think that record is a clean one. Consider the upper body physique of world class 800 runners today (rather thin arms, understandably) compared with Kratochvilova and her striking deltoids, pecks, and triceps (I say the same of Flo Jo, btw). Unique training methods don't account for that upper body muscularity, especially when it's not vital to middle distance running.

Here’s a reason why I think Kratochvilova is not legit, the current men’s record holder in the 800 meters is David Rudishi of Kenya and he’s built the way a 800 meter runner should be. If Kratochvilova was a bit taller she could play opposite Aiden Hutchinson on the Lions.
This world record first lap was run in 56.82sec. We have just had a female 17 year old and 1 month, run first lap in 56.56sec and finished in 1.57.86 sec.

Yeah, her training and her farm background were factors of her success. But the difference in her stature compared to girls like Jelimo and Mu makes her performance sketchy. I think especially in the 400/800 resistance training is ESSENTIAL. The interesting thing about these races is that you race to muscular failure similar to how you would in the weight room, and 400-1000m is really the only event range that is like this. I was always a 56-57 guy for most of highschool, until senior year I got injured for 3 months and could only lift. No speed work, only aerobic training on an elliptical, and lifting. A week after beginning running training again I ran 52.5. After getting back in good running shape and keeping up the work in the weight room, I broke 50 and 1:50 a year later in college. I think the lifting was easily the largest factor. I notice in these events the more muscular guys seem to have the better finishing kick (think mahkloufi, Snell, Symmonds) when in other events it seems to be the opposite.
If it was purely down to her training regime as she claims, why hasn't anybody else done it since using the same methods or updated versions of them? Particularly, given she's now a coach, you would've thought she would pass this 'knowledge' on to her athletes!

Seem to have forgotten Moraa - & is it for Semenya to have a go, if she's allowed? Think if she hadn't been far better than the rest at the time, she probably wouldn't have had a problem...now these three could be competitive against her.
If Kratochkilova DID run a fair race and won on merit she has had to survive 40 years of finger pointing, verbal allegations and abuse simply for the period in which she ran AND due to her country and others similar having a record of " WIN, WIN, WIN. No matter how you do it, that isn't important, just win.
It doesn’t count, or shouldn’t, these methods you show are nothing to do with her record, I can’t say what I think unfortunately, like the 400 meters W record and the 100 meters W record you can discount them all.
Let me just remind you all "smart people" that Men's world record for 800 meters is 1:40:91 from year 2012...thats whole 12 second faster....Jarmila's time is not even in mens list so no....she is not a dude....
The records will come eventually, when they are due. Athletes will always focus on getting better, and on winning. It's what they can and should do. The good thing is, it will be true talent and real progression of training, technique and the human body developing with time. Without the use of harmful substances. When it happens, it will be amazing. And I'm sure it will surprise everyone. And it would be wonderful even if it's someone completely new and unknown that does it.
She was probably taking roids like candies. It's not just her muscles and masculine appearance, but also the skin. Steroids cause skin go hard and look older, there's that specific look you can easily recognize. Even lots of male athletes get skin problems and akne from that stuff.
Everyone---ladies---in the Communist East Block (East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Russia) were taking steroids, various enhancement drugs---all towards increasing testosterone (for women---there are no records by men at this time of any significance). Marita Koch, Jarmila Kratochvilova, Tatyana Kazankina, were all world-record holders, aided by drugs---and, yes, tough unorthodox training. Flo Jo, also was drug-aided. She nearly grew a moustache. She knew she would never win gold or break the world record without it. So, why did they do it? Ambition makes people do dishonest things, and cheat, anything to win, and run a world-record. There a fewer drugs for men---I think---as there are for women, so, it is not exactly to a man's advantage. Hicham El Guerrouge, I believe, did not take any enhancements, medical aids, at all. He was born with a spry, light frame, the perfect physique, and he trained unquestionably HARD---to the point of tears (sobbing) it has been said. It was willpower that got him to the top. Look at Jacob Ingebrigtsen. Sheer willpower, courage, and strength. And good, if not great, genes. Clean. Let them keep their records. Someone will break them---cleanly (more advanced training techniques, faster tracks, better spikes, etc..). I believe that Kelly Hodgkinson, and Athing Mu, either, can do it, in time.

Take that record away from that guy ! It's totally unfair to the women !
Women? I thought it was Sebastian Coe.
Photographic evidence should be all that's needed in this instance.
This ' record' should be scrapped for ' obvious ' reasons.
That woman who set the 800m record......I would swear is a man!
THAT'S A MAN!!! LOOK AT HIS CROTCH AND THROAT!!! NO WONDER "HE SET THE RECORD. 😮
« She » also holds the 400m as well. This was in the peak steroid era.
No she does not. It is held by Marita Koch set in 1985.
U say has masks and tires! I say 💉 🩸 alll 🥤 up!!!
How do we know that wasn't a trans male running the female events? The muscle tone is just too jacked... something ain't right.
There is too much hipocresy talking about 80s athletes. Mention me only 1 record from this era whose athlete has not been doped.
Thats a dude 😮
DRUGS REALLY DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. ERASE ANY WR S BEFORE 1985
No on ten Jarmil Kratochvíl dokázal věci.
That is a guy.
Cute as a button... remines me of the sisters Irina and Tamara Press.... Lovely gals
Kids don't use drugs
no ladt schik bck in those days?
It doesn’t count, or shouldn’t, these methods you show are nothing to do with her record, I can’t say what I think unfortunately, like the 400 meters W record and the 100 meters W record you can discount them all.
She looks like my mate Phil. But more manly
Was this person an actual female?
Let me just remind you all "smart people" that Men's world record for 800 meters is 1:40:91 from year 2012...thats whole 12 second faster....Jarmila's time is not even in mens list so no....she is not a dude....
NOCRACKCRUTCHILOVA.😂😂
Spoiler alert - that's a dude.
They check to make sure she female.
She was probably taking roids like candies. It's not just her muscles and masculine appearance, but also the skin. Steroids cause skin go hard and look older, there's that specific look you can easily recognize. Even lots of male athletes get skin problems and akne from that stuff.
He was way ahead of *her time when it comes to transathletes competing with women
Setting a world record at 32 is incredible, but the fact that Jarmila Kratochvílová's record still stands today is simply legendary.
…and Steroid Use, that Gal had hair on her bag.
*That’s either a dude, a roided-up dude, or a roided-up woman.*
Nothing feminine about her but if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck then it is a 🦆
Drugs5
This is the most doped race in the history of the human species
This is a man!
She's a man
This is a man
Thats a dude
Is 1:53:28 really that fast? I mean the world record is 1:40:91
the women's world record is 1:53 though?
1.53.28 is the womens record dummy.
I know for a FACT that El Guerrouge was doped. Please stop saying he is clean.

@@masterjediluke8680 Point to the medical tests please. Would like to read them
most obviously cheated record
that is a man
She's a man baby YEA
Yeah so she was almost certainly taking performance enhancing substances, but so were most athletes at the time... and there's no definite proof, so you can't erase the record !
Thats a male or a transgender
Thats defo a dude !!
