Miss Mu has not raced since this event last summer. In the meantime, we have had to make do with spotting her at LA film premiers, talk shows and the occasional fashion event. Every time I see her in 6 inch heels I fear she is needlessly putting her ankles and running career in jeopardy! 😉😉 Let's hope she is fully fit to compete in the summer ahead. 🤞🤞🤞🤞😁
Hard to believe we're now in June and Athing has yet to race in 2023 (and Sydney just once)! With very strong competition in Keely, Mary Moraa, Ajee & Welteji all with races under their belt, Bobby Kersee better have something up his sleeve by the time she gets to Budapest!
@@JanetOdunayoAkinjole Syd has run just once - an indoor 60m race back in early Feb! The regular season is basically a joke, the sport needs serious restructuring!
Let´s see what happens this summer, but it really seems super attractive! Hodgkinson after 1.55.77 in her first race, Moraa and Welteji improving froma last year, they really will push Mu to break the US record if she wants to win, the level of the 800 M now is spectacular, good for us!
The question is ,could K. Hodgkinson finally beat Mu in Budapest this year. I think they are evenly match with their length. I saw her interview. She was calm & excited to face her again as well as Moraa who just won recently. This race is who got the air left in the last 2 bends & can push more the pace until the finsih line. I wonder why F. Bol doesn't race here. Also, I observed most of the participants are so thin compare to those who were in 100 to 200 that are so lean & strong.
she's fine - many, many races have this sort of difference between the placings. Hodgkinson has just opened up her 2023 diamond league season with a 1.55.77 in Paris so she's probably benefited from the defeat. Fighters do.
No one has ever had more natural talent at 800 m than Athing Mu. Just look at those legs! Keely is the better, more disciplined and deliberate. I thought she might take the gold. Athing is being coached by Bobby Kersee, along with Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. This was a wonderful race! Mu had to fight.

If you were a track and field fan, you'd know that the line you choose to run around the bend is so important. Mu was leading and hugging the inner rail (as anyone trying to win should) around the last bend she drifted ever so slightly central and Keely tried to accelerate through the gap and ran out of steam to do so. 800m+ races there is plenty of jostling for position both at the start, middle and end of the race. It is how the game is played my friend.
A step behind is a undisputed ass kicking loss, And that participation trophy you are giving to Hodgkinson is only a reminder that second is given but first is earned
The result should never have been allowed to stand. The american cut off Keely down the home straight which is a violation of rule 17.2. The only reason nothing was done, in my mind, is because it happened in america, and you know what they are like.
@@RatluBoogerbag You have a point. The IAAF doesn't want a major protest by the mighty Americans. In 2019, I think the Ugandan won and Natoya Goule was impeded twice. The IAAF refuses to act even after a protest. The UK runner needs to be more tactical and calculated in her running style. That's why she didn't win.
Athing is and Keely are AWESOME! This battle is going to play even more over the months to come, great race!
Mu will be eaten next time, epic battles ahead...
Mu was designed for this, on an atomic level. The grace with which she glides through, its almost as if she is nt trying to win.
Q
mu got e lil over confident
Athing Mu is that example of when hard work meets talent= Gold..
Thank you for not putting the results in the title! And less than half of a second separated the top three women, amazing race!
I love Keely she's fantastic and will only get better.
Congratulations to our Mary Moraa🥳🥳
Congrats to our gal Mary moraa
Just looked and felt like an 'off day' for Mu, and she still got it done...WOW!

Oh he does. It's called PED
It’s going to be something indeed, since she is a full step better without the vigorous training you elude to!
Something legit
Exactly. Same as Sydney.

I've seen Mu run and this time it appeared as though she was not in tip top form. Great run through
I believe she had covid a few weeks prior to the event.

Mu and Hodgkin need a rematch in Budapest
Have to wait until Kersee times her cycle right.

Ooops! What just happened, who is this Moraa😂?
Amazing performance 🎉❤
Review of this race.
What spectacular the Grit of Keely !!
keely was so relaxed
Love Mary moraa's style of running, Laid Back!
Surely, that "leaning back" posture can't be ideal. Indeed, I bet, if she had Keely's technique, she'd be unbeatable.
Hodgkinson is definetly "the runner up"
Athing Mu forever 🇺🇸
Mu should own her own racing park
Keely Will be the next world Campion in Budapest 2023.
GO KEELY 😍
No she wont Mu is just better
Amazing race ❤ bravo 👏
Feel sorry for Hodgenson, she was so close 🇬🇧

I think Pamela jelimo was the best in 800

She would have won if she had not overtakaken from inside where Mu blocked her
Moraa is the Champ 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
You can See Keely studies Mu.
Awesome race
Excellent race! 😃👍🏽
USA NUMBER 1 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Phenomenal race
Mu squeezed her
That’s what I thought. Is that allowed?
Moe was scared and cut off Keely
Le 800 c'est un sprint long....c'est dur....Un bon temps 1.56 bravo à ses demoiselles du passé...puisque c'est en 2022......
Wow..What a champion.
Where is MU in this year's championship?
Keely is our Queen
Go Keely, GO....
What's going to happen when Athing faces Britt next year 🤯
If Athieng Mou (South Sudanes-American) and Marco Arop (South Sudanese-Canadian) get married, I am afraid, their son will run like a bullet 😂.
Mu is literally toying with her opponents she will report flesh foot at this year championship and will be untouchable.
that was not "toying" lol ... the look at the finish was "relief"
@@stevecrocker6904 Yeah, she f*cked up by giving Hodgkinson the inside line. An athlete like Mu shouldn't be making such a basic error.
Moraa destroyed her
Mu blocked the second woman, she slowed down her
17 year old Gill could have won this
Why keep recycling old running news
Mary mora
Mu pinched Hodg and should have been disqualified
That girl still got those Senegalese genes. Ain’t nobody beating her until that bad American diet kick in.
Sudanese.
South Sudanese
And she was born in the US, so she's always had an "American diet."
@@oaktownbrown67 Sudanese genes trump American diet
Like James Brown said Gimme some Mu.
Mu moved into her path on the final straight! How can that stand?!
Mu cheated when she blocked Keely from passing her.
Are you blind? Keely put herself in a wedge by squeezing in where the was little to no room trying to outsmart Mu
She squeezed in that spot. Go cry!

so when is she gonna finally run again lol
keely will get her get back in Budapest
Have Medal Anna Wielgosz Poland ?
Athing Mu...
