My AT44-10 had been in storage for over a year and developed this exact problem when I attempted to re fill it with air, I was worried that I’d be having to find a replacement gun but your clear and helpful video has meant I’m now not so worried and will have a go at sorting it out myself, many thanks 🛠👍🏻
Excellent video. My AT44-10 had not been used for a few years and leaked when I refilled it. Thanks to you I'll be able to fix it tomorrow. Many thanks.
Thank you for your valuable video,my Vectis developed a leak, last weekend from the same place. I'm a newbie to airgunning, and my .25 Vectis is my first (only) air rifle. I installed a huma reg with GREAT success, but it was by way of another youtuber and his informative videos on said rifle. So I need all the help I can get and folks like you and MANY others makes this hobby easy for the newbies to get involved. Thanks again
Totally new to airguns THANK YOU for saying some pressure is required for cylinder to keep the air in!!!! I almost sent this back and question even getting into this. It just kept leaking on me. But I removed the cylinder from the air gun and just continued pumping.. and I can’t hear it leaking anymore! Still not in the green, and I done pumping for a while now.. been at it for a few hours so my arms start to crap out 😂 Good exercise this…
Awesome video mate! I'm glad I stumbled upon it. My Brocock Concept XR has the check valve by the base of the cylinder as well. The info gleaned from your vid will come in handy one day.
Very informative, especially for me as I also am facing the same issue with my pcp airgun and was on the lookout for a solution /way to get it fixed myself. Many thanks for uploading this video of diy...
Excellent, thank you for sharing this, mate. I picked up an AT44 - 10 yesterday, at a great price because the x2 air cylinders that came with the rifle both had slow leaks, and watched your video as a guide to getting it fixed, very informative and helpful. Subbed best wishes Baz
Excellent video! I need help with loosening and removing the valve body from the air tube (Hatsan AT44). It's on there very tight (as if someone used lock tite on the threads or something to keep from leaking because even the vise doesn't help, and I don't want to tighten the vise any more. It's as tight as it can be without causing too much stress on the air tube; if I haven't already). I've heated the air tube with a blow dryer, a steamer and none has helped. Now the tube is in the freezer and immediately I'll heat up the tube end (valve body area) and place in vice again, hoping this would help. I've used WD40 already hoping it penetrates deep enought on the valve body threads. I have a similar situation on a BT65 airtube which I have put aside for now - the flat areas on the valve body for the wrench application has been slightly damagae and to avoid any further damage, I've designated this cylinder as a non regulated tube to be used with an external regulator. If it leaks, I will have to find a way to loosen that valve body as well). I have a heat gun in my Amazon shopping cart to use in place of the steamer/steam gun. I Any suggestions?
Air is coming from the little pin sized hole on the side / top of gas canister of hw100. Changed the little O ring inside and cleaned it out but it still hisses out when I try to fill it up. Any thoughts most welcome 🙏
Very informative video, I have a Hatsan Airmax .22 and have a small leak which I suspect is in the hammer spring stem valve location, if I fill to 200bar amd come back to it the next day it’s completely empty, do you have an Airmax or would you possibly know the fix I need? Thanks in advance 🤙🏻
fantastic video! please could you provide me with a link to a site that sells the o'rings? also, i will change these seals on my 1st tank as this is the same leak, however my second tank leaks from the other end... any advise on dismantling that end would be greatly received :) Thanks
I developed a slight air leak in my air tank at the fill end. I only used it a few times sighting in a scope. About sixty slugs. I had an issue and on inspection the QE system had the retainer installed backwards. Also when I corrected the assemble the assembled baffles were about an inch from the shroud retainer at the muzzle. I determined the end of the tank that was leaking by placing ballon’s over each end of the tank. Anyone know how to fix the over night leak on the tank at the fill end? I’ve been burning powder for about 65 years. I watched the best air gun networks for two years before making the switch a year ago. I watched your video awhile back.
Hi....there you know how to fix leaking on Hatsan blitz.. air leaking through muzzle and through filling hole when disconnecting hose....leaks through valve too
WaschyNumber1 Preassure does not ignite lubricants, heat does. The phenomenon you are thinking of occurs when heat is generated by air being compressed at very high speeds. At which point the air quickly reaches ignition temperatures. This does not happen fast enough in an airgun air cylinder but it does happen fast enough in a spring powered rifles compression chamber or a diesel engine. To give you so perspective even higly volatile substances like Gasoline doesnt ignites until 270 - 480 degrees celsius. There is no way your air cylinder will even reach 100 degrees at a anything resembling normal filling rate. (Especially concidering the massive volume of the cylinder.) Putting silicon oil inside the cylinder is common practise when installing a regulator for example, but mainly because its easier on the o-rings.
Air Armoury yes I tear the o ring valve to install the regulator I test yesterday after watching your instructions. I’m increasing the regulator pressure to 120 bar to see if is gonna increase the velocity without touching. The hammer spring thanks for asking Mate
This tiny hole serves as emergency exhaust safety valve if you forget to exhaust the air and start unscrewing the gauge port than at certain point the air inside the cylinder will escaping through it to indicate the mistake before some accident;)
I just bought a rainson edge-w 5.5mm with a 425cc tank and it has a slow leak from the end of the barrel. First I shot it and left it in the green came back 3-4 hours after and it was empty (100 bar went down the drain). I pumped it back up to 150bar now and it has a slow leak that I can barely hear at the end of the barrel… please help!!!
hello, I have a Hatsan Flash and a Hatsan pump. the pump after 10 movements is blocked. It creates an overpressure and no longer loads the Flash cylinder. Where's the problem?
Very good I would like to mention something that I do here and in a lot of other things when working on a gun and other things I like to keep nice. that it to wrap the cylinder with masking tape to help prevent any marring of the finnish .
My god thank you for this, I didnt know how to get the fill valve off my Kral (which uses the exact same fill probe), it's been chewing pieces of the fill probe o-rings, which then clogs the valve.
Update: So, I was able to disassemble the valve itself and it's a different design from the AT44's, their only shared design is the fill probe and the outward appearance of the fill valve assembly, and how it's disassembled. I was able to disassemble the valve and blow out the O-ring shavings, but the issue is a bit worse than just an O-ring (which would have been simple fix). Turns out the valve isnt just a chamfered pointy brass one with a simple O-ring on it, instead it's got a chamfered nylon gasket design thats interference fit onto the metal valve spring retainer body. Upon inspection, a round scoring groove has developed on the nylon gasket as a result of filling the gun from empty to full. If I had dealt with the O-ring shavings immediately when the problem developed, the issue would have been solved. I'll attempt to slip an O-ring onto the valve to see if that solves it, if not I'll have to get a new valve.
Hello, are in the hand book for the rifle the precise dimensions for the replacement o-rings? And i recommend Viton o-rings they are More resistant than normal cheap o-rings. :-) Regards Thomas
I have a problem with my gun where i cant pump it up at all. The air just escapes immediately and i cant build the pressue up. Any suggestions on what that might be? Im pretty sure its the air cylinder thats the problem but i havent chaced anything
Can anyone help me ... I have a smk super grade .22. Every time fill it with gas cans ....... as soon as you fire it ..the gas just leaks out by the trigger ?
Dude please tell me that there is an easier way of cleaning an AT44 barrel than the one way where you have to take the air cylinder off and taking the barrel off. I have the QE Long so i have to take the shroud off before i can take the barrel off. This also means that i have to take off my scope. This totally sucks. The gun is awesome but needing to do all off that just to clean the barrel is BULL. I'm afraid to use the pull through method because of the tiny o ring that is behind the breach. Where i live there is no gunsmith that i can bring it to. How do you clean yours.
Thanks for this video. My air rifle is different from yours, so i will have to figure out how to fix mine, but the theory in your video is solid. Btw, would you recommend against putting a touch of silicone oil on the orings?
Brilliant fix, and I appreciate your direct explanation without showing clips of the pets or unnecessary target practice.
Thank you. Exactly what I needed to be able to fix my old Titan. Very well explained.
I learned so much from this video. I threw out a Hatsan air cylinder not realizing I could have just replaced the O-ring? Thank you so much!
Excellent video. My AT44-10 had not been used for a few years and leaked when I refilled it. Thanks to you I'll be able to fix it tomorrow. Many thanks.
Thank you. Just got my Galatian the other day, it's rather annoying that I'll have to do this now but you are a saviour.

Oh thank you brother for doing this video on UA-cam. It really show how to take care my AT44 air cylinder. Thanks again. Bye bye
Totally new to airguns

I don’t know why anyone would give this video a thumbs down...except for maybe the intro and intro music.
Your an A OK type of guy. You really know your stuff. Great Video, thanks for the Tutorial.
No problem, hope it helped.
WOW.. that was awesome praise you received from 'Jesus' !! Maybe he will throw a miracle your way the next time you need one.. lol
Excellent, thank you for sharing this, mate. I picked up an AT44 - 10 yesterday, at a great price because the x2 air cylinders that came with the rifle both had slow leaks, and watched your video as a guide to getting it fixed, very informative and helpful. Subbed

Thanks a lot. It was a very useful guide for me.
Genius, and simple solution. Thanks.
Thanks.
This was helpful.
Filled my rifle today using air canister and had constant hiss after.
Will have to get it sorted. 😢
Good stuff friend
Great video! It really helped me fix my leak!

This is exactly what I need to know. I have a Hatsan Carnivore BT65.
Also be aware what seems like a leak could be fluxuating temperature. My 500cc bottle drops 25 bar from room temp to +5C.
Nice one mate🙂
Very helpful video. Thanks!
where can I buy these o`rings.... great video
I have one and it's leaking out the fill end. I stuck both end under water and bubbles came out the fill holes. What size are those O rings exactly?
Very helpful video thanks for the information
Just saw that i have an airleak in my BT65 so gonna buy me some baloons, thanks for the info!
No problem, hope you manage to fix it.
what is the size or this o-ring ?
Just fixed my at44 tube that had similar problem. Great video, thanks.
No problem, hope it helped.
Thank you for a great video and sharing this.
another excellent & informative vid .. keep up the good work d00d
Thanks.
Air is coming from the little pin sized hole on the side / top of gas canister of hw100.
Changed the little O ring inside and cleaned it out but it still hisses out when I try to fill it up.
Any thoughts most welcome 🙏
well done very informative and helpful....would like to know o-ring sizes?
Yes it would be nice to know some generic size o rings for the whole gun . Hatsan parts are not always available .
A question) do you know anything about the air Venturi Avenger, leaking air overnight?
So helpful thanks man helpful very much 😁
Very informative video, I have a Hatsan Airmax .22 and have a small leak which I suspect is in the hammer spring stem valve location, if I fill to 200bar amd come back to it the next day it’s completely empty, do you have an Airmax or would you possibly know the fix I need? Thanks in advance 🤙🏻
Il check your other videos but can you and do you know if I can fix a broken pressure gauge
Great video just saved me an absolute fortune many thanks buddy
No problem, glad it helped.
fantastic video! please could you provide me with a link to a site that sells the o'rings? also, i will change these seals on my 1st tank as this is the same leak, however my second tank leaks from the other end... any advise on dismantling that end would be greatly received :) Thanks
Any ideas when the leak/leaks are at the base of the air tube/pipe mine is loose fitting ie wobbles and leaks.
I developed a slight air leak in my air tank at the fill end. I only used it a few times sighting in a scope. About sixty slugs. Can you please help me with precihole px100 Achilles problem?
Have that same problem but don't no the size of the o-ring
Thanks very informative, after 3 fills my AT-44 is leaking , just cannot remove the gauge end.?
handy video, but cant get barrel off to do air leak , it wont turn.any suggestions.please
I'm looking for a discharge cap. Does anyone know where they can be purchased?
Thank you for sharing this video. Now I will try mine lol
Very good video........!!
Hi....there you know how to fix leaking on Hatsan blitz.. air leaking through muzzle and through filling hole when disconnecting hose....leaks through valve too
Great video. Very helpful. You are awesome.
Thanks, gad it was helpful.
Hi can u help ive pumped my pcp up and its blew the inside the filling valve is it a easy fix
Well done sir.
This tube is produced in my country, but you have the solution. thanks beautiful expression.
well done,thanks
nice dem0. would you ever put some silicon over rhe end seal?
Adrian Cox never put Lubricant inside a air cylinder that is for high pressure, it will explode.
WaschyNumber1
Preassure does not ignite lubricants, heat does. The phenomenon you are thinking of occurs when heat is generated by air being compressed at very high speeds. I dont have any silicone grease,i do have Molykote BR 2 plus,is this okay to use?
great video, very helpful. Cheers.
No problem, glad you found it helpful.
is this a common failt on the hatsan at4410 ? i was thinking of buying one, would you recomend it ? if not wot others for the same price ? thanks
Very nice mate mine At44 long start leaking after I removed the regulator to turn down the power.
Did you manage to fix it?
Air Armoury yes I tear the o ring valve to install the regulator I test yesterday after watching your instructions. I’m increasing the regulator pressure to 120 bar to see if is gonna increase the velocity without touching. The hammer spring thanks for asking Mate
Hello, do you know what purpose does that tiny hole in the front side of the air cylinder have?
I'm not entirely sure, but my guess would be that's it's designed to vent the pressure if over charged to prevent the whole air cylinder exploding.
This tiny hole serves as emergency exhaust safety valve if you forget to exhaust the air and start unscrewing the gauge port than at certain point the air inside the cylinder will escaping through it to indicate the mistake before some accident;)
Can you show us a video on how to repair the Hatsan AT44 Air Cylinder from the Valve end ? Thanks
I will make one if I have that problem, but I only made this video as I had to fix an existing problem.
I have a hatsan mod .125 the break barrel has no pressure anymore and does not shoot please help
I just bought a rainson edge-w 5.5mm with a 425cc tank and it has a slow leak from the end of the barrel. Thank You, i have same problem!
Can u guys plz do a video on how fix a leaking air tank (3000psi 13CU) for a umarex Gauntlet (.22). Thanks guys
Great video. I have the at44 but the thumb hole stock. Have you fitted a depinger to your rifle?
No I haven't got a depinger in it. Have you, if so would you recommend one for the AT44?
hello, I have a Hatsan Flash and a Hatsan pump. the pump after 10 movements is blocked. It creates an overpressure and no longer loads the Flash cylinder. Where's the problem?
Realy excellent video :-)

Good idea John, thanks for the tip.
Anyone know if a bt65 30 cal that leaks in same place,if the cylinder comes apart the same way?

Hi have you found the dimensions for the o-rings? I am looking for these too
Please do .177 Aventuri Avenger air leaking problem.
I have a problem with my gun where i cant pump it up at all. The air just escapes immediately and i cant build the pressue up. Any suggestions on what that might be? Im pretty sure its the air cylinder thats the problem but i havent chaced anything
fix it? some guns require being cocked in order to pump from empty and others cannot be hand pumped from empty under any circumstances.
how do you fix the other end?
Good video brother
Thanks.
Thanks mate
Can anyone help me ... I have a smk super grade .22. Every time fill it with gas cans ....... as soon as you fire it ..the gas just leaks out by the trigger ?
great guide thanks
No worries.
Great vid.
Thanks.
Muito bom amigo!! vídeo de fácil entendimento. obrigado.
I did this but it is still leaking, can it be leaking from the gauge?
Can I please ask a question if you there?
Why you didnt put some oil in it..?
Took the cylinder off but left the bit you took out in the vice part in the gun 😂
Nice
Dude please tell me that there is an easier way of cleaning an AT44 barrel than the one way where you have to take the air cylinder off and taking the barrel off. Have you tried shooting some felt cleaning pellets through it? Might give it enough of a clean that you don't need to take it apart.
Sound advice, thanks.
Thanks.
Thanks for this video. My air rifle is different from yours, so i will have to figure out how to fix mine, but the theory in your video is solid. Btw, would you recommend against putting a touch of silicone oil on the orings?
always put silicon grease when applying new seals
V nice sir thanks
How to do on the opposite side of the cylinder, my cylinder is leak on the other side, please show us
thx from argentina
NICE..BUT WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM? WANTED TO SEE DAMAGED SEAL ..REPLACING SEALS FIXED IT..LIKE TO SEE DAMAGED PART OR PARTS...
not cleaned or lubricated anything then ????
You probably don't want to point the escape port at your face when you release the pressure.
Haha I wish you had to fix the other side, I need to fix a leak out of the valve pin side
