All Three Hosts were Doing NBC Game Shows At This Time... Alex Trebek on CLASSIC CONCENTRATION, Bert Convy on SUPER PASSWORD, and Chuck Woolery on SCRABBLE.
15:59 - 16:50 I think I remember this guy, only he was with a blonde woman and they didn't get along with each other either. You can tell me if I'm wrong but didn't he own a limousine business.
@tpir1972 He was, but Bert decided to host it at the last minute and not do the nighttime "Win, Lose, or Draw", which caused a rift between the two until Bert's death in 1991.
I thought that was strange too. But, can someone tell me what theme they played for Bert's entrance? It's not 'Tattletales" OR "Super Password" OR "Win, Lose of Draw". (I assume -- judging from some of the comments here, it could be for "3rd Degree" -- a show I have never heard of. So, since I'm on UA-cam already, I'm going to look -- but you never know...)
@DENo1MatchGameFan Actually, Buena Vista had unexpectedly dropped Bert as host of "Win, Lose, or Draw" because they felt he was too old. That's what led to him replacing Marshall as host of "3rd Degree", as well as the subsequent lawsuit.
RIP Bert Convy
That is really cool that they put the game logos in the studio for this show.
I really liked Donahue when it was on. But I forgot just how manic he was. He's a frikkin' tornado of energy.

love this.
R.I.P. Burt Convy.
Alex Trebek is still doing Jeopardy, as for Chuck Woolery well he does some commercials now.
Chuck Woolery is also doing a political science shows Blunt Force Truth and Save Us Chuck on UA-cam.
Happy Birthday Chuck...March 16th....
This was 1989 cause on Scrabble in 1989 He announced he was gonna be a father again
Bert was dying of brain cancer about this time. He hosted the 1990 Match Game pilot. Glad he had enough strength to finish that. RIP Mr. Convy
Trebek is handsome, even now.
@kenyatta simpson the last time I saw Chuck Woolery he was seen doing commercials involving catheders.
That would be catheters, no D.
Bert Convy was still doing NBC's Super Password by this time.

Alex Trebek. The native of the nickel. Sudbury, ON
I guess there was no logo for 3rd degree.

How odd. They play the Jeopardy theme but show the Classic Concentration logo.
Chuck Woolery & Bert Convy had TOP 40 Hits before becoming Game Show Hosts.
2019. Trebek and Wollery both in the news these days. Trebek for fighting pancreatic cancer and Wollery taking some heat for being pro-Trump.
I Love how there was a SCRABBLE Sign when Chuck Woolery came in.
10:06 Alex wasn't a father yet, but became one for the first time in 1991
Wasn't Peter Maashall supposed to do 3r degree/
Alex is the only game show host now, what happened to Chuck???
This is only about 1 1/2 years before Bert’s divorce & death. :(
Was Bert doing WLD at the time?
Donahue was actually in Chicago for 11 years (1974-1985).
And Chuck hosted WOF from 1975-1981.

In 1983, Chuck Woolery asked for more money from Merv Griffin for hosting "Wheel of Fortune". Chuck was replaced with Pat Sajak.
Actually, Chuck's last "Wheel" was on Christmas Day 1981, with Pat replacing him three days later.
