I totally forgot about that when I was there! I was on a fairly tight schedule that day, so it just never crossed my mind. I'll definitely have to show it off the next time I'm in the area!
Will someone please explain to me when Dart was created why member cities were used for the one-cent sales tax? I think it was a dumb idea. In most Transit systems that i am aware of the one-cent sale tax is collected at county level Just think what kind of rail and bus system DFW would have From the one-cent sale tax coming from DALLAS Tarrant, Plano, and Denton Counties.
@@LonestarYT I don’t think that rail fans in DFW would be happy with replacing these iconic cars, there are plenty of newer trains in the metroplex and the DART cars are still doing perfectly fine.
Hello dallasite here, Ive been here before and its a really nice stop for a train and the speeds of the train underground are impressive going 55 mph
You recorded this on the day tannerites among us but zoomed in was released?

When will DART get new trains?
The Hitachi trains would be a whole lot better tbh.
I really hope soon. These trains are certainly showing their age, and could definitely do with a replacement.

@@LonestarYT with the new Dart silver line using newer trains, I would guess they will be getting more of those trains for the normal 4 lines!
@@andrewsunde7915 the Silver line is using a Stadler FLIRT DMU (a Diesel-Electric commuter train) not a fully electric light rail train
