I watched this video a lot as a little kid! You are a part of what makes me interested in elevators!
Back in 1999, I rode the DART and this station was still under construction. I hope to someday return to Dallas via the train and ride the DART some more.
Yeah and another station next to cityplace uptown station was also under construction called knox-street station

Nice elevators, and in the case of the Otis elevator, I know they had Vanity fixtures (solid white buttons). But did they use the GAL contact block assembly, and if so, I wonder if the Vanity buttons were an ADA compliant successor to the Lexan buttons (both old and new), since they were projecting buttons.

if you ever get a chance to ride the d.c. metro system they have some VERY deep escalators and steep ones as well

Wheaton's escalators are the tallest in the Western Hemisphere.
xXxM4A1xXx08 Bethesda stations escalors to the metro suck and the elevator is like three blocks away and is handicapped use only. It’s also in a hotel parking lot

The elevator instead of the stairs for a house that is only one floor high, It saves distance and costs, but the companies which they are producing the handrails maybe they will not work in thats field I guess.

This is actually called a funicular, often they are mixed up as trains but they can be like an elevator as well.
2:49 10:02 15:41 These inclined elevators are noisy. That sounds like the inclined lifts in London. These inclined elevators are also called automatic funiculars.

Had a former coworker I worked with for over a year, and left our company earlier this year to work for a competitor got crushed to death in-between the elevator and the bottom floor doors at the Cityplace Dart Station online elevator.
I'm an elevator mechanic by trade and from what I heard was he was working on one of the "chicken legs"...(it's the two a spring loaded arms you see in the inside of the hall doors.) And supposedly he didn't properly lockout-tagout.
Not a lot of info and no news reports that I've been able to find, but the man's name was Mike Arbor...he leaves behind a wife and 5 kids. Very unfortunate to happen, especially a little over a week before Christmas.
I bet their is a top 100 elevators of the world and Quebec and Montreal would be in their for the big O and Quebec downtown to get down a mountain

The video is over but it doesn't have to be. You can always watch more and you know what to do.
The escalators at Cityplace are always out of service and Dart doesn't care.
But for those of us who use the Cityplace station, we just have to suffer the consequences . Dart hasn't done anything to find a permanent solution.
Dart= Total Inaction!
It seems like many transit systems have problems with their escalators.

The only time ive seen an incline elevator was in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It was outside to bring people from higher part of the city to the lower part of the city. Sadly I didn't get to ride it.
