Though not everyone masturbates to the American flag like people like yourself, I don’t know of any elementary schools that don’t have the American flag on a pole out front.
It is. After the US Civil War, in a desire to remain united, American flags mushroomed everywhere. And then, in the late 1800s, to give meaning to Columbus day initially, someone came up with the "Pledge of Allegiance" which was specifically to the flag, so public (and many private) schools in the USA generally have flags, both one outside (usually flying next to the state flag), and they're often inside classrooms as well.

It was supposed to be whole point to squabble instead of just nuking each others
I did the Model UN for a few years, and the accuracy is amazing.
Hard to pick a favorite moment from this scene because literally every bit is great, but "In conclusion, Libya is a land of contrasts" is an eternal line.
When the Simpsons were funny and satirical. Miss those days.
Model UN:
'Order at any Cost'
Skinner: Do you kids want to be like the real U.N.? Or do you just want to squabble and waste time?
Me: What's the difference?
Even Ralph was rolling with that bone line. 😂
In Bart’s conclusions Libya 🇱🇾 is cornfield 🌽 and that what it looks like . At least according to marge’s mother, when she took little marge to see a 🌽 field and wondered what it looked like. 😁😇❤️💕
The shoe was a nice touch
Skinner: Do you kids want to be like the real U.N., or do you just want to squabble and waste time?
Bart: I thought that was the real U.N.?
But the UN is getting payed for that
When Ralph got up and started singing, just made me think. While everyone else is arguing over everything, Canada just chills and sings xD
I always loved seeing the US flag outside of the school, I don't know if that's a real or common thing in America but here it isn't sadly
Libyan Corn, also known as Maze, due to the difficulty of finding it, is commonly exported to Italy who use it to manufacture Scratch. Italian soups and pastas can then be made from scratch resulting in a thriving culinary experience, thank you.
1:10 thats me when i testested for COVID-19
Testested? Testested? Could have said, "That was me when I found out I had COVID-19" or literally anything else along those lines but no. For you, "testested" is apparently the right word. You fucking moron.
The word is TESTED! TESTED!
T E S T E D!
I think it was appropriate they made Ralph represent Canada.
I love how Lisa and Bart are France and Libya.
"Do you kids want to be like the real UN, or do you just want to squabble and wast time?" Well played, Fox, well played.
Didn't they keep fighting after Skinner ask them that?
Trinidad and Tobago being represented by each of the twins was a subtle but charming touch.
They missed a huge opportunity at the end to say "do you kids want to be like the real UN or do you want to get things done" or something like that
Simpsons was the satire king back in the 80's and 90's.
Didn’t Poland create the Witcher series, which was a global success with both the books, video games and tv series?
We also invented seatbelts, metal detectors, oil lamps, we almost were first to create private pc (If it wasnt for communism we probablly would) and we invented Heliocentric theory (Kopernik), probablly theres more things
I kid you not one time I was at Michigan state university and painted “the rock” which is a tradition on campus. Then you have to guard the rock for the night, making it yours for the night until the morning. Well the Model UN club came up to us around 11 at night and asked us to leave so they could paint it. We refused as is the tradition. The model UN club of Michigan State University then proceeded to cuss us out and make actual threats that they would beat us up if we didn’t leave. We stood firm, and they left around 2 am. We guarded it until morning and went home after the sun rose at 7 the next day. I love dunking on the model UN Club
"Kids, kids! Do you want to act like the real U.N? Or do you just want to squabble and waste time?" One of my all-time favorite lines from The Simpsons.
It took me 25 years to notice that Sherri and Terri are Trinidad and Tobago. That's a nice touch.
I was today years old when I learned that "in conclusion, X is a land of contrasts" is a Simpsons reference.
Well atleast Ralph stayed in character during a geopolitical moment of tension.
The UN: At least we're not The League of Nations.
Wendell is wearing more of a Spanish outfit or maybe even something a gaucho(cowboy from South America) might wear.
Speaking of which, it's ironic that they gave USA a cowboy outfit because that is something they just copied from northern Mexico.
Please stop him!
I'd like to but I'm afraid he has diplomatic immunity.
Haha classic skinner.
at 1:01 bart says maize exactly how homer would
"Do you kids wanna be like the real UN? Or do ya just wanna squabble and waste time?"
Insert predictable joke about the UN naturally being like this
Canada in every Un meeting, peace and love you guys
The UN logo is a dove with an olive branch in its mouth holding an AK. That slipped by me.
Missed opportunity by skinner to say: Do you wanna squabble and waste time like the real UN, or do you wanna get something done?
0:28 but Poland cannot into space :(
POLSKA GUROM🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱
Its a reference to Polish adult cartoon, Im suprised this episode is so "young"
Fake news poland have bases in on the mart on the sun poland in to the space poland besta nation 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🗽🗽🗽🗽
My favorite part is Skinner trying to recall if Libya exports corn. It sounds fishy, but plausible enough to be true.
Who gave Nelson a sword?
How many times I said about a country "its a land of contrast" it works pretty well. Thank u Bart
