Aside from some general genre similarities between the protagonists (i. e. both characters are albinos, both use the nickname “White Wolf”, both have simple surnames based on places, like “of Rivia” or “of Melniboné”, both like to lament over their fate) a read of the two authors clearly shows that the books aren't at all similar in plot and/or structure.

Millhouse ain't wrong! Sounding rockets (rockets designed to take measurements and perform scientific experiments during its sub-orbital flight) called the Meteor series have been built by Poland between 1963 and 1974. These rockets didn't go to the Sun, as they were for the research of the top layers of terrestrial atmosphere, and directions and forces of winds from 18 to more than 50 km above the Earth surface. BUT back in February 2020, the European Space Agency launched the satellite Solar Orbiter with a Polish instrument with the mission of going into an orbit 42 million kilometers from the Sun so it could examine the Sun's poles (fitting).

Wasn't an option for me in elementary nor middle school, but high school Model UN was an absolute blast. I represented the DPRK twice and being the only nation allowed to throw insults at other nations gave me so much power. One of my favorites was South Africa in a Yom Kippur War committee. We had a crisis where I sent uranium (which South Africa is rich in) to Israel...let's just say I was sweating. At the end of the conference when we just decided anything goes, I gave some uranium to Australia thinking he wouldn't do anything against me and at the end he ended up nuking Cape Town. Pure chaos ensued. Model UN was a great way for me to interact with so many from other schools and helped me better understand other perspectives. Recommend!
