- THIS IS NOT A REMAKE OF THE GAME, THIS IS A REMAKE OF THE LEVEL USING UNREAL ENGINE 4 SPECIFICALLY FOR MY PORTFOLIO ONLY - THERE WILL BE NO RELEASE.
NOTE THIS IS A WIP! Lighting is placeholder and will be changed to be a lot more natural and there is a ton of detail to add, especially in areas like the level exit etc.
RECENT UPDATES:
- Redesigned the final area (from the point of jumping through the floor)
- Improved height of ceiling in giant table room and added arched balconies (enemies will be placed here)
- Increased overall depth of the first area, knights and walls and pushed back decreasing the overall flatness
- Completely redesigned the level exit area
- Level exit area is now more natural with the theme of the castle, the area on the right before the level exit will have a table etc and overlook the natural outdoor landscapes in the stormy weather. This area overall needs a lot of detail adding.

Someone should definitely hire you to help create the entire damn remake of this game. More complex levels, narration, soundtrack, sounds, models - just like this thing here. I would love to see a modern take on this game with the soul and feel of the original.

Наконец то! Наконец то, я дождался выхода почти полного проработанной первой локации. С момента выхода последнего ролика прошло уже достаточно много времени, я уже начал думать, что ты опустил руки, но нет. Лучше сделать классический Wolf, и не отходить от классики, которая в те времена зашла в душу. Невероятная работа проделана в одиночку, хотелось бы верить, что проект когда нибудь оживёт, и появится возможность снова поиграть за Американского солдата против немецкой армии. Всегда радовался ремейкам, которые оставляют все ту атмосферу и антураж первой игры. Заметил бы кто нибудь твою работу, проспонсировал и помог реализовать и доработать твой проект...А тебе спасибо за старания, продолжай. Прчему здесь так мало подписчиков и лайков, ребята, давайте поддержим человека!

This legendary game deserves to be completely redone on the UE 4 engine or even 5) The author of the video is a great fellow. Did you have to do it all by hand?
It definitely does but I’m not even sure who’s the IP anymore. I did, I used some pre made stuff of course but the level and everything else was done from scratch. E.g the weather effects I didn’t make myself, alright I set them up. I’m no VFX artist by any means

This is awesome! And your current project is compatible with UE5! Maybe consider changing it over? ;)
I have plans to migrate it to UE5 shortly. Unfortunately it’s gonna break the worlds lighting, LOD’s using Nanite etc so I figure I best get as much done first and then I can migrate. Once I’ve migrated I’ll only have to change the usual stuff.
This would be sexy if there was RTCW released in UE.

How do you make the detailed edges of brick walls? Is it tessilation? Or some kind of displacement map and cleverly placed LOD?

I'd like to firstly mention that your level design of these remakes of these levels/maps are instantly well done and look amazing, I've seen them all! - Especially, the remakes of RtCW really have a soft spot for me as this has been the childhood games that has grown on me and I'll never forget it. I've noticed you've moved onto UE5 from UE4. Rtcw is the same to me, my second favorite game after GoW 3 but i put it in the first place

Unfortunately not, i'm not sure I even want to release it. This was just a project for my portfolio but over time more and more people want to play it thinking its a remake.
