Original version has been ported over from UDK to LDK, redesigned, fixed and completed with Unreal Engine 3.

Over the last few months I have been porting some of the assets from the Duke Nukem 3D Reloaded build into Rise of the Triad. I wanted to both complete the level and also redesign it as it wasn't very good. This video shows a work in progress so far and is about 60% complete.

This is one of the other single player levels I created for the Rise of the Triad 2013 modding community. It received plenty of positive praise. Looking back now there is a whole lot I would change, but for a map that I created a long time ago I'm happy.

that exterior castle is lovely but those red and green lights look offset....also that 1st person arm looks to skinny and clean....weapons shine too much.
@@aarx9230 the green light needed some tweaking for sure. Spending months on something makes you fail to see obvious errors. The arms are just placeholder to show off the environment, same as the weapons.
@@Chris-ij3jxyeah im not trying to dimish the work. those lights look futuristic though...i dont know what they used on the 40's also maybe im biased because i really like dirty obscure look games like the original.

At 3:26, BEAUTIFUL work. I would’ve never thought of it. The atmosphere of night instead of day really adds to the scene, and the rain is especially nice. That hit of lighting is god tier, reflecting on the castle and the nazi flag, a beautiful effect. Going through that door really introduces you to an amazing scene and the ambience is beautiful. I love the way you breathed so much life into this and created such an artistic touch. Great vision and great to see a childhood favorite being reimagined and improved
@@goobierust thanks for the kind words, it’s really cool you that you noticed some of those things, opening the door to the scene of the exterior of the castle was absolutely intentional, hence the change in music
Wolfenstein without killing nazis is like an angle without its wings, other than that this looks amazing

@@10percent4DaBigGuy the level they had built was an absolute mess, the level path was non existent, it didn’t have an arcade or an upstairs for example and lots didn’t make sense. I’ve took this, redesigned it, cleaned it up and stabilised it.

I think the only way in the Castle Wolfenstein is through the tram station. Setting up a dungeon there means there's no way a prisoner could escape.

That would be so incredible, this game is wonderful and was part of my childhood, I really wanted a remake
Looking good overall, but its a lil too dark. I can see you invested into weather - lighting, wet surfaces and windows. The location is now somewhere near the sea which I think is quite a welcoming change. You could've highlight more of the castle architecture if chosen opposite weather conditions and TOD while also adding and expanding more on it, but I guess this is off scope in general or for this specific stage. Were you making all of those assets yourself? I would consider you did the large stuff like architecture but I wonder what about small props like radios?
