For those that are new to DCS World, this is the aircraft you get for free and this tutorial series will be aimed at a brand new player with limited or no experience with a flight simulator.
You will be exposed to the mission editor, learn how to make missions that allow you to practice the skills required to master DCS from the ground up and also be able to fly sorties along side the tutorial videos at the same time.
This series structure will apply to any other module you would like to learn and will give you the building blocks and steps required to go from ZERO to HERO!
In this video we take a look at the mission editor and how to setup a basic mission and go through all of the important keybinds required to start up and fly this beauty.

If you are intending to get heavy into DCS.... Remember only use mod manager like OVGME to install mods not directly to save game directory.

Everything not from the in game objects like cockpit, so basically I want to make the menu text, radio comm text bigger, is it possible?

This is great. I just recently was setting up my controls on my HOTAS so I could mess with the SU-25T again, so I'm ready to follow along. Figured if I ever get any of my friends to even try DCS, it would be best to have some experience with it Thanks for making this series, because now I'll have something else to point them too.
Very true mate, can def be much more successful getting a mate to join when you can help them learn to fly a module that you know how to fly too

They still have the "Player" slot in the mission editor but you have to place the aircraft on the map first. Don't know why it works that way.

Love it mate, that’s the goal… get them invested into the sim and have a procedure to follow to learn a module going forward when they buy their first full fidelity airframe

Dude thank you! I hope you do more FC3 content. Taking a break from Dominant Fury while they fix the Hornet waypoint bug to fly some Su-25 (not T) right now and it's fun trying to learn to think in Russian.
What’s the mission with the bug in it??
@@TorniQuetHD I ran into it in mission 4, when I was slewing my TGP around, it would move my Bullseye waypoint. I read some guys have been manually making a new waypoint for their bullseye to work around it, but I read another thing that said that if you just unbox WYPT in your HSI that also works around it... there is a pinned post in the Baltic Dragon forums about workarounds for the current patch.
I might give mission 5 a go tonight, but been flying Kaba's (of Cage the Bear, the included Tomcat campaign, fame) Emirati Rebellion campaign for the Su-25 and having a blast. It's only 6 missions long and I might use the ME to edit it and fly it again with the Su-25T since I heard the included Su-25T campaign is buggy and super hard.
And you're right, the Su-25T is ugly. Probably the ugliest in DCS...even when we get the A-6 I think it will be the reigning champ of ugly :D
G'day. Great timing for this series. I picked up the SU-25A in the current sale, as its my preferred type and I've seen it being used alot in the Georgian, Syrian and now Ukraine wars. I'm guessing alot of the info will apply to the A so looking forward to your tutorial series!

I just finished the Emirati Rebellion mini-campaign from Kaba (who makes one of the included Tomcat campaigns) it's pretty fun and short transits to the target area. Great fun with the Su-25 if you have Persian Gulf!
Just curious do you use that joystick curve for all aircraft I’ve just started playing using the bob gladiator stick everything has been good keeping it linear so far but interested to see how other planes will

I use a sick mod called Clickable FC3 Mod made by Redk0d that let's me interface with the interior of the frogfoot, and most of the other FC3 aircraft. Coupled with the English translation for the su-25 I quite love flying this toad around

There is no "Saved Games" file in my DCS folder...I have not yet played any game, so do I just paste the Kneeboard folder into the DCS folder?
13:51 Roll; my x52 Pro has a twist function on the joystick which serves the same purpose as rudder pedals (Joy_RZ)
Hello. Thank you for this video! Is it okay if I play on a gaming laptop with a gaming mouse only? And can I play with my friend with the mission that I made?
You can definitely play this game with a mouse and keyboard… it will be extremely limited but not impossible. I would recommend you search your local classifieds and see if you can find a cheap joystick and throttle though as it will make your experience much better in the long run
The SU-25A won't be winning any beauty contests either. But with the right livery and fully armed to the teeth, it's def a feast for the eyes.

Hey mate, nah I don’t use reshade atm, I just adjust the one of day to morning or afternoon, gamma at 1.6 and apply a touch of colour correction in video editing mate
Surprisingly the most capable Russian attack aircraft with a HUD, TV weapons, vikhs, SEAD abilties. Just wish it had the performance of the Su-25A
Agree mate, for a free module, once you know how the systems work you can do some pretty damn good work in this airframe… I wonder how it dongfights 🤔🤔
@@TorniQuetHD 25T is pretty draggy, ive fought A-10s in it and always lost. The Su-25A though is a beast in dogfights, it outperforms the F-5
