@@BMWselena Hey Selena, I always watch your videos. :-). How cool would it be if you pull up alongside an unsuspecting victim at the stoplight with a quiet burble, open the bypass valves and then proceed to demolish him on green? You don't need noise to do that!
It sounded great. But that welding job.....oh, the butchery. If you want a good laugh, when you show that exhaust system to someone for the first time, make sure you give them something to drink first so when they finally see it, they can blow it out their nose, 'cause they will. Probably would have been a better idea to just have a muffler shop do the exhaust, but hey, at the end of the day, it's all underneath the car and no one will see it if you don't want them to.
i'm not a fan of magnaflow but it sounded nice, its a bmw you want a mellow sound you don't want it to sound like a race car do a true dual exhaust out the original opening left side.
Jason is a very talented Technician and for not being a welder his accomplishment is very good...however being as you are in California..the Mecca for hi performance im very surprised you could not find a professional exhaust shop..Flowmaster could have done it and now that you are in South Carolina ...kooks and Borla are local...the finish of your monumental task is in the details.....to be honest and not being critical....it’s a bit COBBY and using one muffler for the two sides is very restricted.....but still a interesting job
Looks and sounds like a fun project and all. But it should be just that, a project. Shouldn't expect to last very long on the road even with all the leaks fixed. An enthusiast or any aftermarket parts co. are going to beat out any multi billion dollar company in engineering and testing. I was cringing hard when she butchered the bimmer trying to make that engine fit. Oh well lesson learned, at least it was fun learning it.
Bad ass build, but yeah, you’re better off investing in a mandrel pipe bender and do the exhaust right. He said that some piping was different diameters, fucks with back pressure.
Great Video content. Just as with most all swap cars or heavy mods there's always kinks to work through. Usually it ends up with more tools or shop machinery lol.
yeah yeah, sure sure, it's too silent, the wheels are too small and the car is too beautiful...some people just don't have a good taste:/..period...do you wanna know what's wrong with your car?..everything!!;p;D..only my irrelevant unwelcome opinion:p
Don`t feel bad, I have burned holes in a few pipes while learning to DIY an exhaust system :-) I prefer Borla and Magnaflow for that "sophisticated power" sound....it definitely sounds healthy, without advertising to the world that you have Godzilla under the hood !
The sound is perfect in the last part. It's a pity the oil pan started to leak already. I'm very excited for your e30 build. That is where my heart is guys. I drove e30 for 16 years...Btw I hope your family is oke guys, back in Carolina(hurricane)......
I thought it sounded nice and throaty first, good for cruising limited cabin drone, the cutouts on the side of the x can would wake it up. Not sure what the noise laws are in your area, if you would get harassed.
I've got kooks Lt headers with high flow cats and works mufflers and mine sounds nasty .fyi Your ls motor maybe leaking from a valve cover think it's Common issue. The cutouts are way too loud.
Uhhhh yea its not way too quiet its perfect. sounds stock until you get on it. not obnoxious like those trucks/cars that dudes that have small "packages" drive. leave it like it is
Needs muffler. Cutouts before muffler would be perfect, have no idea why you'd install cutouts for practically open headers. That won't sound good, it will sounds obnoxiously ridiculous.
Won't pass in The People's Republik of Kommiefornya anyway. Can't do an engine swap like that. Must be like for like. As they are still NC residents they only have to satisfy NC's rules. Yeah, I'm pretty sure NC requires cats. Isn't that a federal law?
Bmw M3 e46 A girl like you? She rebuilt an LS and swapped it into an E46 She bought a F body stole the engine and parted the chassis out for cash Nigga she’s more manly than most men If she want loud she gon have loud I co-sign her loud lol
Hey! At least he is trying and learning along the way AND you can't knock that! And even though it may not be the prettiest, it is functional, and I bet it takes a lot of patience and pre planning to get that exhaust in. Did you even see all the bends and curves?
The exhaust will be loud when I open the cutouts from inside the cabin and when they are closed it will be quiet for daily driving so that I don’t get pulled over by cops but thanks
BMWselena my thing is y’all did all that work just to patch that exhaust just take it to a exhaust shop install a muffler and I wouldn’t even worry about the cutout it just seem like overkill
Did your headers not come with the slip on y pipe for the bmw? Simply put it on cut the y off. Get 2.5 stainless pipe take the coating off the pipe to get a good weld. Use gas please. Mock your factory exhaust front to rear. Get the borla oval muffler it’s mad like an x pipe. Then run your dual exit on each side like you want. It’s not hard to do. But your car won’t ever be a quite car. You have a v8 with no cats and headers it will always be loud. Just get some good speakers and rock on with it. Don’t worry about being loud while cruising.
Who is excited for my E30 Build? I have already started filming :) Make sure to turn on post notifications!
Hey what do you plan on doing for the smog check with no cat on ?
How do you get the money for all this stuff? Lmao
After this video y’all said fuck this project 😂😂
Way too quiet? Are you crazy? Ever heard of a sleeper?
That would be with the cutouts open. Obviously it would be quieter. Did you even watch the video?

You did hell of a job squeezing LS engine into E46 but the exhaust looks like a nightmare.
Yeah, that's also not allowed in Germany :D. Not even the install of angel eyes, unless you buy the complete headlights with angel eyes.
Thanks Selina & Jason
Always look forward to your LS3 build, keep up all the hard work together 👍
Thank you!

As far as the oil leak goes, make sure the valve covers are vented aka PVC System.

Great Video content. Just as with most all swap cars or heavy mods there's always kinks to work through. Usually it ends up with more tools or shop machinery lol.
Thank you! And i know right lol

do you even know cars? lol
Putting cut outs that far back with nothing but open pipe behind it u probably won’t hear a difference.
Hey Selena I’ve watched all you’re videos on your ls3 swap and I absolutely love it. I’m true fan of your e46 swap.
what part of the wiring is bmw and what is LS? kinda skipped over that for the videos.
Is the fans supposed to be coming on soon as you turn the car on?
Needs muffler. Cutouts before muffler would be perfect, have no idea why you'd install cutouts for practically open headers. That won't sound good, it will sounds obnoxiously ridiculous.
yep said that in the video...
Conversion job, like to work with macanic fbi ghost satellite camera
use dow corning 795 for all oil pan gaskets it is awesome
If you don't install the Cats you won't pass emissions and you won't be able to drive the car!
Won't pass in The People's Republik of Kommiefornya anyway. Can't do an engine swap like that. Must be like for like. As they are still NC residents they only have to satisfy NC's rules. Yeah, I'm pretty sure NC requires cats. Isn't that a federal law?
Add the muffler and the cutout. That way u can have loud when you want and quit when entering your neighborhood late at night
Yeah that’s what I said in the video ....
You guys should just go open header cut outs 😍
I think it sounds really good
You would be pulled over by the police over here all the time with that loud exhaust.
That would be if i have the cutouts open! Which I won't all the time ...
What does a girl like you need a loud exhaust for, keep it throaty and not obnoxious
Bmw M3 e46
A girl like you?
She rebuilt an LS and swapped it into an E46
She bought a F body stole the engine and parted the chassis out for cash
Nigga she’s more manly than most men
If she want loud she gon have loud
I co-sign her loud lol
Zen Life 😂😂😂👍
Holy Jesus, What is that? Wtf is that? Is it to be the welding of the exhaust system???
Hey! At least he is trying and learning along the way AND you can't knock that! And even though it may not be the prettiest, it is functional, and I bet it takes a lot of patience and pre planning to get that exhaust in. Did you even see all the bends and curves?
Welding is not easy man. Try might welding it looks easy but you gotta develop a proper technique. And dont even get me.started with patterns lol.
He’s a real Indus nigga modifying them Euros he’s doing what he has to do
He did it by himself... awesome 👏🏻👏🏻
I like it.. sleeper mode..
Do a bypass switch
sounds good load but on a long trip it will do your head in.
it will be quiet once the muffler is on this was a test for when the cutouts are open
that car IS clean
In European standards that is still loud exhaust ;D
Lol true 😄
richard waitas

Niceee !!! Love the car awesome build 😍
Thanks! :D
Best e46 sedan ever!

I was on board until that exhaust why put all that engine just to make it quiet
I don’t think you understood what we are doing....
BMWselena i love what you have done I’m just on a different page as far as the exhaust
Y’all have done an amazing job
The exhaust will be loud when I open the cutouts from inside the cabin and when they are closed it will be quiet for daily driving so that I don’t get pulled over by cops but thanks
BMWselena my thing is y’all did all that work just to patch that exhaust just take it to a exhaust shop install a muffler and I wouldn’t even worry about the cutout it just seem like overkill
Sounds good
Really? Thanks!

It's a BMW that's what's wrong.
