I’m an ER nurse & as a nurse I can tell you this. She had what’s called “a duty to act” & she alone is 💯 responsible for Sean’s death! Her actions or lack there of was malpractice &!negligence at its finest! U canNOT cold turkey someone who take Benzodiazepines on a daily basis! SO much happens to the body & a person has to be weaned off those types of meds. I hope she lost her license & never worked in healthcare again! His death was 💯 preventable if she was competent!

As an ER nurse Im sure u know no nurse can give a medicine without a drs order. He had an order for the medicine at home but u also know the jail/prison couldnt give meds from home so the meds had to be ordered by the facility physician. Therefore the nurse cannot be held responsible.

I never knew that Eddie lost his ex wife and that's truly sad and I was holding back tears when they talked about Sean because I remember when he passed away to and I found out about it in my phone under some entertainment news while I was at a barbershop and when I heard what them people did to him I was shocked and they should of helped that man get his medication.

I saw that posted on You Tube years ago. It was HORRIBLE. I clicked it off because it was heartbreaking. I believe the family files a suit against the jail, etc. I saw Gerald’s Unsung on tv and they interviewed Eddie and Sean and he said “ all he had to do was call me and I would have sent him the money.” I think Sean was behind in child support or maybe taxes. Sean didn’t want his Dad to know. 😢

When he was calling for his mom he saw her while dying she was waiting for him I remember when my uncle died my auntie my dads baby sister was holding him he was having a heart attack in my grandma basement he saw his big sister Jean who died from a brain tumor he said sis dont leave me I'm coming the whole time my aunt thought back and said he saw jean my sister we knew right then my uncle made it to heaven death is real the after life is real my uncle auntie and grandfather died in the house that house is definently protected by spirits of my family I miss them so much......when my uncle yelled out sis hold them gates he was talking to jean❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Thank you for putting this bio out there. I've always loved Levert's music, as well as growing up listening to the O'Jays. I knew about Gerald, but I didn't know how Sean passed away. So very sad. They were truly talented men who are greatly missed by many. Again, thank you for posting this. You did an amazing job.
The very first time I heard "Written All Over Your Face", I swore up and down it was LeVert, until a DJ on Hot 103 Jamz (Kansas City) announced it was the Rude Boys.
And what's crazy was that LSG's debut album Levert Sweat Gill was released on the same day as Timbaland and Magoo's debut album Welcome to Our World on Veterans Day 1997

Gerald and Sean grew up in my neighborhood and they renamed my old neighborhood street from Lakeview Avenue (up the road from Lake Erie) to Gerald Levert Blvd. My dad used to know his dad Eddie Levert and his mom. A friend of mine also went to high school with the and said they were good folks. I always said the homies were gone too soon. Both brothers were very talented and left a huge void in R and B.

Coming from a former C/O and having worked in a facility that had what most would consider to be a great mental health and hospital unit. The non medical staff mbrs are not equipped with the tools or skills to handle inmates with mental health issues. Those inmates should be placed in an actual facility that specializes in mental health treatment.

Great episode❣️ I worked mental health for 25 years. The jail officials should have known that it is Not advised to stop Xanax cold turkey, and it has to be tapered down. That's exactly why his wife won.💞 Keep Up the Great Work, Love The Levert Legacy❣️🦋

I know any music fan who was blessed to attend one of his performances will say the same thing. He was better than his dad. Can you believe that? R.I.P. indeed KING and to brother Sean. This brotha is sorely missed. Thank you for giving him and the group their flowers. Gerald, for sure, is surely deserving.

I loved their music when I was younger. They made some really great hits and sometimes, I'll look up their live performances on UA-cam. There was this performance they did with Boys II Men that's always fun to watch. When Sean passed away, I remember having heard about it on the radio. I stopped in my tracks and said, "WHAT?!" Because I remembered that Gerald died not too terribly long before that. So sad, man. They were some talented young men with so much more to give to the world. R.I.P. to them both.

For the LSG line up it was originally suppose to be Keith Sweat, Gerald LeVert and Aaron Hall, but Aaron Hall went to prison so they brought in Johnny Gill as a replacement and what a good replacement it was. But regardless it would've been a good lineup with either one of them.
Wow I never knew the back story to that but I'm glad it happened that way because I remember when Keith sweat was talking about when he put the group together he said that his label didnt want him to do a group project and he was like I don't see why not because I will get a check and johnny will get a check and also Gerald and that album did so good for the group that it helped reach platinum status and then Gerald told Keith thank you for helping me go platinum and Keith has always been good with helping people and he even once helped teddy Riley get back on his feet and gave him 15 thousand dollars after guy had split up which caused problems between teddy Riley and his ex manager gene griffin.

I worked as a nurse at a county jail in the early 2000’s we had multiple inmate deaths occur before the rules were changed to started inmates on a detox protocol when entering the jail. Sadly the rules didn’t change until the lawsuits came.
