    this is not new research...Dr. Eric Berg has been saying this exact same thing for the past six years or longer. It was also published in medical books in the 40s or 50s.

      I hear you, but a lot more has happened. Dr. Oz actually interviewed and gathered this informatiin from Berg and then took the information and is using it for his own gain. Oz made it seem as if he was goung to bring Berg on his show and then didn't. He used him.

    Just base your diet on fruits/starches with veggies, eliminate fatty and oily foods and animal products, and you will not only lose fat but get healthier.

      100% Correct. I've eaten potatoes (oil free,salt free) for 6 months straight before and I saw no excess water weight. I drank plenty of water to stay hydrated like you would do with any other diet.

      daijah Landry There are fats in all whole plant foods. As long as you're still eating healthy plant foods, you'll get enough good fats :)

      Li-San Loves Not everyone can eat a lot of fruit. Many people are sensitive to carbs. As a vegan fruit isn't a huge staple. The more veggies for me, the easier it is for me to lose weight.

      Key For those who can't eat fruit for some reason, there are other plant foods lower in carbs. Some people are sensitive to carbs because they are still eating a lot of fat in their diet, which may not mix well with the fruit. I always eat fruit on it's own and if I have a large amount, it's the first meal of the day. That helps with any digestive issues.

    The body typing concept makes the best sense. We too, have developed a system of body typing and can provide dietary ad supplement outlines for each of them. The one he labels the sugar types would more accurately be called the carbohydrate intolerant and most often stems from an over production of insulin in response to carbohydrate ingestion. One of the primary functions of insulin is to remove glucose from the blood and store it in the form of triglycerides, in the fat cells. This process has no stoppage gap and most often accounts for those who are a hundred pounds or more over weight. We have designed a special program for these individuals who on average, account for 60 % or more of all obese individuals.

    At the end of the day, the issue is controlling insulin production. Chronic stress can definitely play a role in this because chronically elevated cortisol levels can raise insulin production. So getting quality sleep is very important. But perhaps even more importantly is nutrition. That may be the most important. The big four to handle are stress, sleep, nutrition, exercise.

    I think the best diet is to live a healthy lifestyle . Moderate your alcohol intake, eat breakfast lunch dinner have snack between your meals don't starve yourself . Exercise at least 5 times daily. You'll loose weight without even notice it. Cook your own food have more veggies. I did it just like this. Most important don't focus on the scale

    Last July I had bariatric surgery..... good to know my body type....... i've cut sugar and carbs all together and feel great....... I'm still steering away from the no foods and reaching and grabbing for the yes foods...... I was told by my nutritionalist a human body still needs natural sugar and fats..... so ladies and gentleman stay healthy and keep your foods healthy...... Love Tjreid

      Me too. I found a paleo diet works best. if you stay on it and have a few cheat days of course. It's hard though :( but like I said the paleo approached worked amazing. I'm gonna get back on the wagon starting tomorrow lol. Good luck to you.

      Chengfu Saechao I have trouble gaining weight because I have a really high metabolism but otherwise i really love my long legs and wide hips and boulder shoulders and my butt I am satisfied with my body and I haven't gone thru my period yet but it looks like it a little

    All I have to say is... Not saying your wrong in any way... And as you probably know... Everyone needs a different diet... Need to look at what your body does with fats... If it stores it in the bloodstream that is not good... Other sources of energy... But yes... Lots of energy in carbohydrates... But will not go through your bloodstream as fat... Salt... High blood pressure... Bloodstream stores salts... Body type... Be content with your body ... In fact - love it... Bloodstream bloodstream bloodstream... High fibre to fill stomach ... Good for cleaning the intestines... Vegables high in vitamins... Fibre... When you say slowly eat less stomachs will get smaller ... Acts like an elastic band... But vegetables to fill but not over fill... Etc etc etc...

    I have long legs thigh gap wide hips small waist heart shape butt boulder shoulders I love my face and I think I'm a very healthy skinny so I'm lucky I get complimented on my skinny jeans because my legs and butt look fine! and I never get fat

    I hate the way they speak of health. like "...nudges you over the finish line." like nutrition's is not a race that you do once and then end...its a lifestyle change you must make. Its reprogramming your body to eat real foods that are good for you. why cant they separate the health and loosing weight and why the hell don't they ever talk about gaining good weight.

    You shouldn't look at food in terms of carbs protein and fat. Look at it in terms of FIBER, protein and fat. If the carbs you're eating contain little to no fiber then you shouldn't be eating those carbs. If your carbs contain 2g of fiber or more then those carbs are probably very good for you. Fiber is just as important to your body as protein. Insoluble fiber helps you digest food. Soluble fiber helps regulate blood sugar and insulin and will help you from developing type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. You NEED carbs and protein. Any diet that would have you drastically lower your intake of good carbs is NOT a credible diet and can cause harmful effects to your body. Same goes for low protein diets. Your body needs both in order to function optimally.
    Also, fat does not make you fat. Good fats that come from nuts, seeds or fatty plant foods are critical to your body's ability to make stress managing hormones and helps your brain function. Any diet that tells you not to eat whole food plant based fats is not a diet you should follow.
