      Capt.Sunset It’s so versatile because it’s not fancy. It’s the most stripped down guitar. Just a bit of shaped wood and two pickups. Not like these guitars with built in effects, 3 tone knobs and 4 pickup sounds

      Had two. For me the 2 & 4 positions are so weak that they barely cut through a mix when jamming with a full band. My Telecasters have way hotter pickups. Especially in the bridge. But you can’t find anything to replace that strat neck pickup ❤️. Best option: Both haha

    I have the LT 50 for about a year now and play with Strats & Telecaster. It is loud enough for playing at home as well as with a live band at rehearsals. The effects are fine and navigating the presets and adjusting things is EASY and does NOT require a computer. It takes pedals well, but comes with decent effects. For the price, it is the real deal. I was looking for digital, lightweight amp with great tone and enough volume - it works!

      I’ve had mine for a few years now.
      Very happy with it, so easy to use, especially with the foot switch.
      Sounds great live too, keeps up with drums and bass easily.
      My only gripe, is that there is not a database of presets provided by other users. Not a major gripe.

    As an owner of the previous offering Mustang II v2 (40-watt) the LT50 is an upgrade in every way. The critical flaw of the Mustang is the back panel that mostly covers the rear of the speaker, thus significantly diminishing the 360-degree projection on a gig. And yes, I gig my amp. My Fender Twin Reverb and even my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe predominantly stay home. The new LT50 has a way more intuitive effects interface for quick adjustment. There is I paid $120 for mine used about 7-years ago and the new price was $200. The upgrade to 50-watts is just about worth the upgrade alone. Also the footswitching capabilities are miles ahead. The only footswitch for the old Mustang II is a single A/B switch between 2 presets. It was so lame that I didn't even bother as I left my amp in '65 Twin Reverb mode. The added Midrange control is also very welcome.
    My very last comment is very subjective. I love the classic '63 flat logo is OK, but I prefer the more classic chrome from the later '60s. I also prefer the more classic silver grill cloth over the solid black which reminds me of cheaper solid-state Fender offerings from '80-'90s. The new knobs are probably more functional, but what can I say? I am a traditional kid that is looking for Fender traditional witch hat style knobs like all the classic Blackface amps. I think the amp is styled nice enough, but I yearn for the classic Fender look. I imagine that the product managers want to differentiate this series from the classic tube-based product offerings. Ce la vie (la vida)!

      Hi. Do you use the LT 50 with the same footswitch that works with the GTX model?

  • @CopperSound
    @CopperSound 4 роки тому +5

    Fender G-DEC 3 30 was the amp that was replaced by the Mustang series. G-DEC had a built in band. Yes, with drums and bass players. You could even control the levels of those and use drummers from different presets. It had a built in looper and even uses the same foot switch as the Mustang. Then Fender killed the software that gave you more settings which you could download on your SD card built in to the amp. 2 guitar inputs, two outputs that you could plug into your monitors and have the built in band blast out of those. Not only that but there is more. But the most important thing was the band which gave you the foundation and the confidence to jam with a jazz band, country , Dixieland, blues, etc. As a former metal-only guitarist, this amp got me out of that. Metal guys will absolutely love the challenge of jazz, shredders will feel right at home. Slide that Purple Haze chord around and you’ve got a start. Play Flight of the Bumblebee, the chromatic classical piece, 123454321, 234565432, with the moveable Purple Haze chord and you’ll fit right into the jazz band. Do it everyday and that feeling comes back like when you learned your first Iron Maiden song.

      I've never owned or plays through a Line 6 amp or effects. Manufactured sounds. I did however own once a Roland amp which was a solid state "amp modeler". Got the midi footswitch too. Played some gigs with it actually. Thing is I could never get one patch to easily move go another patch. Always a gain issue. I sold it and kept all of my Fender tube amps. I'll never use a modeling amp out live again, but this here amp is more likely a better idea than the older Line 6 and Roland amps. I'm ashamed to say that I used a modeling amp at live gigs. With a Strat. What was I thinking? Gotta laugh lol

    "Blues Drive" @ 8:46 almost sold me! The store really wants to sell me an amp named after a sword. i have a lot of pent-up Mustang hate so I hadn't considered on of these. I bought a used V.1 and the amp tones are awful! The effects as well. No manual (only found a partial pdf online) , very few videos but at least on one video I was able fo find how to get a "clean" sound. Unbelievable there wasn't a simple way to dial that one. So, now the "clean" is the only thing that amp is good for. I would throw it off the roof if I could get up there. I want (need) a tube amp but my wife works at home now (permanent) and i must keep it down. At least with these amps I can wear headphones. I don't need a big amp, just playing at home (actually practicing, I am not a "player"). I love the backlit display! That is incredible. It makes things so easy to see and understand. The V.1 is very UN-user-friendly. This model at least gives you half a chance. Great video! I have seen videos of he presets and tones and it looks like there may be ten blues-tweed settings. That is what i want and need. You are in my ballpark.

    Tenho um Amplificador Fender Mustang I VII e estou prestes a comprar outro amplificador e vou comprar um Marshall Code 50, pois depois da péssima experiência com a Fender simplesmente não estou afim de correr o risco de ficar sem suporte como aconteceu com o Fender Fuse. Lamentável, pois gosto muito dos amplificadores Fender.

    The 12” speaker 🔈 is what would sell this to me.
    Love my valve amps and my pedals. But the functionality, convenience and flexibility are appealing.
    Certainly sounds a lot more convincing than the Line 6 rubbish of 20 years ago, which put me seriously off modelling amps.
    May have to try one of these. Though for the price, I could be convinced to find room in my home studio when it’s done. And not quibble too much over the outlay.
    Doubt it will actually fully replace my analog gear. Self confessed Luddite/audio snob. But the LT50 or the Mustang IV could easily do at least a partial convert 😂

      Only problem is it’s Boss and I dislike Boss effects... tried Boss Amps in the past and I have been less than inspired by them... every time I have bought anything Boss or Roland related I have ended up selling it on...
      So for me that option is not an option.
      Recently invested in the GTX50 and it does what I need

      I'm not fender but a squire is definitely a good start depending on your budget HSS pick ups if you want to play music that's little more heavy,if you can afford it a player strat or telecaster (what the guy in the video was playing) but honestly you don't have to go really overboard just as long as it makes you want to practice and doesn't absolutely kill you with the price a friend of mine got the squire beginner guitar package (guitar and amp) and it's a good set up nothing fancy but it does the job hope this helps

      @fartzerelli1385 3 роки тому +5

      You need to use a micro-USB cable and connect the amp to either a Mac or PC loaded with the Fender Tone application installed. The Android or iOS app only connects to the more expensive GTX models via wifi or Bluetooth. I am running a mac and have been having a blast tweaking my LT25! :D
