I have the LT 50 for about a year now and play with Strats & Telecaster. It is loud enough for playing at home as well as with a live band at rehearsals. I've had a nice Mexican standard strat for a few yrs now without an amp. I'm only self tought & really don't know as much as i should after 10 years of playing. This is the amp I'm going with to learn how to really play & understand chords/ chord sheets. Really the only amp I'll ever need. Picking one up this weekend.
As an owner of the previous offering Mustang II v2 (40-watt) the LT50 is an upgrade in every way. The critical flaw of the Mustang is the back panel that mostly covers the rear of the speaker, thus significantly diminishing the 360-degree projection on a gig. And yes, I gig my amp. My Fender Twin Reverb and even my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe predominantly stay home. The new LT50 has a way more intuitive effects interface for quick adjustment. There is I paid $120 for mine used about 7-years ago and the new price was $200. The upgrade to 50-watts is just about worth the upgrade alone. Also the footswitching capabilities are miles ahead. The only footswitch for the old Mustang II is a single A/B switch between 2 presets. It was so lame that I didn't even bother as I left my amp in '65 Twin Reverb mode. The added Midrange control is also very welcome. My very last comment is very subjective. I love the classic '63 flat logo is OK, but I prefer the more classic chrome from the later '60s. I also prefer the more classic silver grill cloth over the solid black which reminds me of cheaper solid-state Fender offerings from '80-'90s. The new knobs are probably more functional, but what can I say? I am a traditional kid that is looking for Fender traditional witch hat style knobs like all the classic Blackface amps. I think the amp is styled nice enough, but I yearn for the classic Fender look. I imagine that the product managers want to differentiate this series from the classic tube-based product offerings. Ce la vie (la vida)!
Fender G-DEC 3 30 was the amp that was replaced by the Mustang series. G-DEC had a built in band. Yes, with drums and bass players. You could even control the levels of those and use drummers from different presets. It had a built in looper and even uses the same foot switch as the Mustang. Then Fender killed the software that gave you more settings which you could download on your SD card built in to the amp. 2 guitar inputs, two outputs that you could plug into your monitors and have the built in band blast out of those. Not only that but there is more. But the most important thing was the band which gave you the foundation and the confidence to jam with a jazz band, country , Dixieland, blues, etc. As a former metal-only guitarist, this amp got me out of that. Metal guys will absolutely love the challenge of jazz, shredders will feel right at home. Slide that Purple Haze chord around and you’ve got a start. Play Flight of the Bumblebee, the chromatic classical piece, 123454321, 234565432, with the moveable Purple Haze chord and you’ll fit right into the jazz band. Do it everyday and that feeling comes back like when you learned your first Iron Maiden song.

Hey Fender, I wanna buy this amp. But can you recommend an entry level electric guitar?
I'm not fender but a squire is definitely a good start depending on your budget HSS pick ups if you want to play music that's little more heavy,if you can afford it a player strat or telecaster (what the guy in the video was playing) but honestly you don't have to go really overboard just as long as it makes you want to practice and doesn't absolutely kill you with the price a friend of mine got the squire beginner guitar package (guitar and amp) and it's a good set up nothing fancy but it does the job hope this helps
Ive heard that specifically the classic vibe squires are the best bang for your buck. People say they play very well for a beginner guitar.
@@matthewrosario7150 thanks for the advice! i got the squire affinity series telecaster in arctic white with a maple fingerboard.
.
@@Fubbernutt thanks for the advice!

Is there a pedal to use your favorite presets

how do these speakers compare to a line6 with a celestion 1x12? im thinking of trading
You Rock Bro, thanks for the help, I appreciate you. Legend 👑🍻
Can the foot switch be used on the LT 25?
Does it loop?
Which foot switch do I have to get?
Nice
I'm buying my own
Is this better than the GT400???
im new to guitar is this a made up riff or a song at 9:50 because i would love to learn it
This riff is improvised.
The gt40 didnt have a mid knob . This must be loud because the gt40 can be loud . They sound great with split coil .
You can control the mid on the gt 40 by pressing that 3rd button next to the display and the treble
Where can you order the Magnetic Plate?
Does it have a phrase sampler?
Sir, I have purchased Mustang Lt50 amplifier and mgt4 footswitch, but I can not download the fender sound till now. Kindly, give your valuable suggestions, how to download the fender tone and save in my free space( from 31to 65). Your valuable suggestions will help me to operate the amplifier smoothly.
hi, i was wondering does MGT4 FS 60 second Loop Function work on this amp? please let me know if the loop function works, planning to buy this FS.
I can't figure out how to connect the tone app to my new LT50 to save my life!
You need to use a micro-USB cable and connect the amp to either a Mac or PC loaded with the Fender Tone application installed. The Android or iOS app only connects to the more expensive GTX models via wifi or Bluetooth. I am running a mac and have been having a blast tweaking my LT25! :D
Thank you. I finally figured that out

Why putting so much reverb?
Do I need the foodswitch, if I have a distortion pedal? I often play metal and need to switch between clean and distortion Sound...
Can anyone help me? Thank you
No. I was using this amp with a Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal. The amp will provide your clean and the distortion pedal will give you just that.
👍 Good 🙂
