I have watched so many pilots on UA-cam. After a while, it becomes evident who the good ones are based on how they handle their plane. Some make me very anxious; they don't seem fluid in their actions. After watching this, I would fly with Steve anywhere!
Relatively new subscriber here Steveo. I'm not a pilot or student, but like flying and love your channel. I've learned so much in a very short time. Thank you for taking the time to find the middle ground that holds the interest of the layman as well as experienced pilots. The intros and outros are the icing on the cake.
Fantastic vid...I’ve dreamt of flying all my life - financially it was an activity outside of my budget...I can live my dream through these videos ... thank you.
Have my private license but haven't flown in many years due to the expense. LOVE your videos and I now live my pilot life vicariously through you. Keep it up!
Hi guys, I ended my flying days about 20 years ago and started about 35 years ago out of Honolulu International. Then did a few years in San Diego, then Guam and ended my time in Chesapeake Va. I just wanted to let ya know that I really enjoy your videos. They bring back some good memories. Thanks a bunch and keep em coming. David
I missed Oshkosh this year and I'm only 45 minutes away in Green Bay (GRB) - hopefully you go next year - I really enjoy your videos - it would be cool to be a passenger of yours - take care man!
I love how steveo is so professional and knowledgeable. You can tell he really loves his job. He gets me so excited to pursue aviation as a career, keep it up steveo.
Bust those 1 hour coffee minimums by keeping an extra screw-top travel cup hidden under the seat. The published single person flight endurance for a venti cup is 3.5 hrs (deduct 3.0 hrs for children, the elderly, and nervous fliers). Placard the mug in a discrete manner and employ a checklist when pouring crew coffee.
Steve. I really appreciate it when you show the flight map and verbally expound on the route. That helps me a a viewer to get a clear picture of the beginning and end path flown. Great videos and commentary. Thank you.
Awesome videos! I am an ex pilot (lost medical:(!!!). Missing it. Flew for a Beechcraft FBO w/sales. Instrument/ multi engine.... 700 hrs then grounded. Thanks for the videos. Wish I were there.
You're inspiring me to get back into flying. Used to be very into it when my grandpa owned his airplanes! Really is no better place than just being up in the sky all alone!
Hey Steve! Great video! You've really inspired me to get into Aviation. I'm gathering up my hours and hope to get my license by my 17th birthday. I always love your videos!
Steveo really enjoyed this video and particularly when they asked if you could switch to 21R . Nope and when you were at 500 you check one more time to make 100% sure. You always seem to maintain a positive even strain and a combination of smooth and safe. Have a good weekend!
I don't normally place comments but Steve your videos are just too great not to, real inspiration. I'm going for a trial flight lesson soon and I can't wait till I'm up in the air. Good luck for you and your channel, happy flying!
ARC FOR 32 years Tower, Approach and Center....been in hundreds if cockpits both VS, AT and COMMERCIAL. So sad I never got my pilots license. Excellent video Steve

Steveo is the best thing since sliced bread and Netflix. Just binge watched his entire channel. Thank you for all the effort that you put in those videos. Your videos are very informative, kept in good quality, very professional. I definitely will subscribe to all platforms and donate!
This channel has been a great inspiration to me as I work toward my PPL. I recently completed my cross country solo requirement, and found myself looking in the mirror before heading to the airport and saying "Who's ready to fly to [destination]? ... This guy is!" Thanks for the great videos Steveo!
Very nice quality on the video and good job, engaging your audience and keeping them informed.Take care Capt. Noel United, in from HKG 777-200>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Great video, as usual. I will be at Oshkosh 26 through 29. Will look you up at Bose the 28th. I would like to fly my Cub up there from Tampa but probably wouldn't make it until October so I have tickets on Allegiant and camping out on grounds. I like it that you refused to sidestep to 21R, you have enough to do single pilot IFR without having to reset everything on final in the soup. Too many pilots think the controller is controlling the airplane. They don't call you pilot in command for nothing. Again, Great video, one of your best...see you in Oshkosh.
I signed up for the channel, I am Brazilian aviation enthusiast, currently the first officer in the simulator Rotos Engine, Italian simulator, very realistic. I wish success for the channel.
This is such a fun video. I really appreciate being talked through the take off and also the new camera angle. I feel like I was riding along right seat. Your videos are some of the best promotion for Daher-Socata (www.tbm.aero/). Our company has been looking at the possibility of corporate aircraft and now consider TBM as one of our options because of you Steve.
Steveo, Because of your videos I was encouraged to pursue my commercial license. I'm a 800hr private pilot that is now a multi-engine commercial pilot. I also started working towards that CFI certificate. Awhile back you were talking about becoming a CFI. Are you a CFI? I'm flying from Boulder CO to Oshkosh. Maybe we will see you there. Will
Will, unless you have a "calling" to teach mostly primary and some advanced flight students, if you're single and can live on meager wages, find a company that will hire you with 800 hrs. Don't waste your time and $$ on your CFI. CFI's are for guys who want to rack up time for free, and get paid for flying whenever the weather allows it and your students don't cancel. Rack up another 700 hrs, get your ATP and if you really want to teach, you can with your ATP as long as you're teaching on an aircraft for which a type rating is required. I got my CFI, CFII and MEI 33 years ago and I quit teaching 18 months after my initial CFI. And I lasted that long because 4 months after my initial CFI I got hired at a part 141 school that was on contract to conduct the flight curriculum of a 2 year college that offered a pilot program. Don't get me wrong; I love to teach. But I found that even on a Part 141 school like the one I taught for or schools like ERAU, ATP and the like, where students pre-pay and are more committed to learning, many students show up quite unprepared for their flight lessons, so you end up spending more time on the ground than in the air. When you get paid by the "teaching" hour (every CFI knows ground time doesn't pay as well as flight time) you depend on students that are ready and don't try your patience by having to repeat the previous lesson because they spent too much time partying and not studying. The love of teaching doesn't pay the bills. Just my $.02. Good luck!!
Rivikesojosh, Thanks for the 2 cents! My CFI friends have shared the same story with me, they only want to fly with pilots that need a flight review or pursue more ratings. I thought being a CFI would not only look good on a resume but is a nice way to network myself into a flying job. I'm single and free to move around the country so what better way to meet people than hanging around a flight school and meeting all the local pilots. I just might meet someone with a C208 or TBM..
I greatly appreciate how you explain what you are doing flying the plane from start to finish. Never have made it to Oshkosh due to my schedule. As for Florida and Georgia, way to humid for me although I do have friends in Atlanta & Albany. 1 hour before arrival, coffee time, not a problem in the PC-12 which has a restroom although you can't light a match or open the window. When do you think you'd be able to fly out here to the West Coast?
I'm heading for Oshkosh...again. Last year, I caught Steveo as he was walking alone through the entrance of Camp Scholler. I was on my motorbike, gave him a big greeting and welcome to Airventure. He didn't take me up on my offer to give him a ride though. ;~)
You guys need a life. You always think there ready to jump on your lap. She is there for the job and to make money not to be a hooker for all of you under sexed dudes.
What an interesting question. It's ok people saying about peeing in a bottle but what if he had passengers on board or he needed to take a dump? No Curries the night before a long flight, ha ha.
exactly. I'm a private pilot, I understand when you're by yourself. But if you have paying passengers, they're not going to want to go in a jug....or watch you go in your jug...
I've wondered, in the beginning of your videos, you always climb inside the airplane and close the door, and you're filming it. Do you open the door, get back out and retrieve the camera, or does the lineman/linegirl hand it to you through the window? :) Do ALL the girls at ALL the FBOs know you, are you THAT famous (with your UA-cam channel, you should be), or do you just ask them if they want to be in the video, and 'here's all you have to do!'? I was surprised that the controller asked if you wanted to take 21R, seeing he would have known you were IMC. Finally, I was watched Paul Bergarelli over on AvWeb, and he did a thing on gear up landings. What do you do as final checks to make sure the gear is down and locked?
Pay attention (keeping in mind that he mostly operates solo) and you'll notice he does a lot of time consuming staged shots. Steveo puts in the extra time to give us way better than average production quality, I really appreciate it.
Oh, I appreciate it, too. I enjoy Steve's videos, just as I enjoy Flight Chops, Mr. Aviation 101, and Captain Moonbeam's videos. They all appeal to me in different ways, and they all put me back in the cockpit.
Miami Opa Locka, that airport bring back some interesting memory. Many years ago i was out over the practice area over the Everglades. Then when we was going back to the airport north of Opa Locka, North Perry KHWO, a heavy thunderstorm passed over North Perry so the tower took the unusual decision to close the airport. So we had to divert to Opa Locka, when we have landed and taxied to the FBO, we suddenly noticed a police helicopter just above us and a lot of police officers in all directions. It turned out that a large group of inmates was going to be flown out from the airport. Stevo, just started watching you yesterday. Great job flying and multi tasking for us. I flew for 11 yrs and this brings back great memories. I must compliment you on your excellent flying skills. keep em coming. happy landings.

This is so much better than television.
on television you attract problems into your life, here you attract what you love
@@geniusmarcsays2434 Ain't that the truth. Watch the TV and get mind f**ked.

yeah better than watching game of thrones ending
that's because television nowadays is very agenda driven
Hey Steve I'm im a student pilot and I fly out of Opa Locka signature and I always see your tbm850 sitting in the hangar and it's so cool!
I also want to become a pilot but my dream is gonna break
@Michael John Dennis legend

This video is proof that IFR is much less complicated than VFR cross country. Steveo makes it look so, so easy.
Best produced flight videos on UA-cam.
Yes best pilot

Very nice, but I would like to hear more engine noise during flight.

I absolutely love the one man production process. These videos are so relaxing to watch. ThanksSteve!
This video is really cool. I’d never be able to trust myself with flying. I freak out too easy and guys like this have nerves of steel.
It makes me laugh to think that every time you have a shot of you closing the door you have to open it back up to get your camera.
