I cut my own stencils out of acetate. Cheap and easy. Just keep packaging. Works very well. Most of us have so many dies that make great stencils especially basic shapes
Thank you so much Jo I really really enjoyed watching you create these stunning and gorgeous card toppers. I really really love ❤️ them both. They are really really Brilliant too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your cards. I'm addicted to embossing folders, especially Altenew, and I thought I should to purchase 6x6 envelopes, but you made me realize I can make A2 card without new envelopes. Adding the white ink to highlight the embossing changed the card from beautiful to stunning! This is definitely a new technique for me to try, thanks to you!
Jo, thanks so much for sharing this technique. Simply loved the finished fronts and cards. Only have the original distress inks not the oxides, do you think i could get similar effect? Regards from UK 🇬🇧
Hello Jo, I love your cards, I am wanting to try my hand at making something like this, I have similar embossing folder, but the only coloured inks I have are 4 distress oxides and the others pinks and light pastels are versa colour stamp pads, will they work to colour the cardstock?? thank you.
Thank you! Yep they sure will. The oxide inks are more of an opaque finish while the distress inks or generally dye based inks are a bit more translucent. Will still work tho! Give it a go and I would love to know how you get on x

Enjoyed the example, tho, and definitely plan to replicate some version of it! ;-) I agree with making my own from Mylar - made frame & mask like this, a wavy version, and an art deco version.
You have a beautiful eye for creativity. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

Sure can! Your ink won't have that chalky opaque look like the oxides but can definately be done. Give it a go :)
