gotta treat it early crucial to detect early signs like : shying away from tank mates not eating darkened colour fins drooping side fins not moving freely or only one side fin miving before adding anti parasite change water first. Repeat the process once or twice a day everyday for about 5 days usually or until the stricken fish improves. treating early means everything . treating late inviting heartache good luck
I have the same issue of wasting away with clown loaches. I quarantine with General Cure for about a month. The loaches seem to contract the parasite after transfer to my 180 gallon.
I’ve had the same issues with Clown Loaches. They say it’s related to their slime coat. Haven’t kept them in a while. I hope it’s not too late for this guy. We will see I suppose. Thanks for watching!
It seems to me that it also has a bacterial infection. So you'd need to use antibiotics as well. But being honest when a Discus gets so bad, it's kind of hard to save it. Hope you save it though.
I'm no expert but I've treated them before and going through it right now a smaller quarantine/treatment tank will allow you to use less of a Dose and get the same result. I just bought a 20 gallon also will turn in to savings in the long run.
I unknowingly bought from an online seller who had fake good reviews & UA-cam videos, several (4 of 9) Discus that were just like this. I was devastated.
It did… this fish was too far along. The earlier you began to treat, the better chance you have. I treated my tank about 6 months ago when one fish showed early signs. Had no issues with sick fish. When I’m doubt, treat the entire tank.
Treat it with bactopur from tera ! Keep at strict dosage if 1 fish got it all you're other discus have it they just have a beter immume system trear you're whole tank rapid to save !!!!
Sorry but your tank is very dirty.... Please re think about Discus .your hospital tank should be clear the substrate no plants....please ask for help on the Simply Discus Forum. Sorry

Blake, did this fish die? I just had this happen in my tank. Any luck curing this?
