“I don’t know” is the best answer. “Depends” is second best.

You make good points, Bill. I like being around expats. It's necessary until my Spanish is better.

Hey Bill. I'm retiring this year, and have done some research for my likings, and have decided on around or in Guanajuato city, Guanajuato.
Any advice on a good relocation coordinator in that area would be appreciated. Maybe I'll pass on through Morelia for a coffee on my way to Guanajuato.

I have been living in a place just like that in Chiapas for 13 years. I have been all over the world and this place has almost the most beautiful climate, geology, ancient history and fauna on the planet. I only know 1 guy from the USA and he is gone all the time an I met him a little over a year ago. I 2nd that solo feeling you are experiencing it has caused me to learn an incredible amount of new things to learn about life. Maybe I should start making videos too. I learned how to be a video producer from my English teaching people who lived off grid in the jungle. I have a lot of interesting stories and everyday it is something very interesting. I think Bill and I have a lot in common. I am kind of a secretive dude so I don't know know how public I can go. I may have to create a public character.

For how long can you drive in Mexico with your American car?

      Hello Dara Ray,
When I had a car I had a 1 one visa and 2, two years visas. With those visas, I could use US plates and there was no problem, but when I got a Perminent visa the whole story changed. It can be complicated. Talk to an immigration attorney. Good Luck

Not legally, although you may never b hassled. We live in Puerto Penasco on the Sea of Cortez and chose to get permanent residency, so we have our green card. (And it is green lol). U can also get temporary residency once a year for 5 years. (If the rules haven't changed)

On a tourist visa ( FMM ) you can stay 6 months in a year span. IF they give the 6 months ? They've been stingy with some people and give less time. But most likely you'll get 6 months/\.

6 months at a time with visa or indefinitely depending on if you are willing to brake the law as in stay there ilegally just like how it is done here lol. Can''t own any land, possibly get a lic. or rent a place unless helped by a citizen as in done in their name but I could be wrong.
