I just love how everyone is dressed at the breakfast table. But every morning Fran the Rebel appears wearing her fabulous bathrobes, oblivious to the fact there's an obvious dress code in upper class households for every mealtime. I admired that she determined, within reason, what was and what wasn't worth conforming to.
She knows there's a dress code since it was specifically mentioned in the first (second?) episode. That's what makes her a true rebel.
Maxwell, on a roll with the "go to your room!" and Fran doesn't bother arguing atm because she's basically too busy supressing the urge to squee, "kawaii! it's so cute how you think you can tell me when to go to my room in your adorable British accent! but I only go to my room on my *own* schked-yule, not on your shed-yule. Mr. Scheffield. Sir".

Did Brighton have an acting career after this series ?
I love Fran but they are times she needs to act like their nanny. Not their friend.
She’s not a qualified Nanny. That’s the heart of the show
She does discipline them.

She did find a creative way to get Brighton to never touch one again and it was quite creative. So credit where it’s due.

Max was smoking multiple times throughout the series so I've always hated his hipocrisy when he told the kids not to do the same thing.
Probably because he's a full grown adult while Brighton is a child who shouldn't be smoking at his age.

He did. They are one of the best French breakfast foods
@@catherineaustin2 .... I don't believe the French in general have them for breakfast, but rather, they are enjoyed at lunch, dinner and dessert. Crepes of varying thicknesses exist throughout Europe---I grew up eating the sturdier Hungarian type but France's are always thin.
