Great job! Thank you for posting this video as I followed it to swap my handles out on my 14 WK2. With your help, starting with step 1 how to make coffee all the way to the end, it took me just around. 3 hours to do all four doors! Great video!

great job man , I hate the chrome on my 2017 Jeep GC overlaid I am going to send out my Jeep badging to carbon fiber dipping the grill rear signal light bezels . bright white door handles are a big must thank you.

thats awesome. i am sure u get this question often and im sure i know the answer but, why don you just pick up the coers that 3M to the existing handles. I am assuming because you want the actual handles. Which i get but for me i am just going to get the covers. With that said you did help me learn other things about the door as well so either way this was veryt helpfull. Specially when i decide to change the ambiant lighting color from cyan to RGB and when i sound deaden the doors

1/4 in ratchet works better. The 5/16 is actually 8mm

I have a '19 GC and the rear passenger door does not open. A mechanic thinks he can get it open by removing the door handle. How can he do that with the door closed?

Front doors were a pain, even with taking the door latch off on the side of the door. My arms were just to big to get them moved around. I eventually pulled the door skin back far enough but had to watch breaking off the plastic inside holding the lock on.
Btw the video is amazing, damn arms were just to big esp after dropping a bolt. Hey wife lol
The job is a slight nightmare for sure and all those damn 10mm around the inner door panel! Shoot me lol glad that video helped and the oem look is so much better than vinyl or plasti dip

I ordered all the pieces from quick parts on eBay. Easy stuff to swap out!
10:39 Try lining the socket with a scrap of notebook paper, and nut will not fall out when you remove it. Tape one side of scrap onto the side of socket to hold in place. 14:29 Mask off paint around door handle to protect from scratches while fidgeting to remove door handle.
I used a telescoping magnet to remove the bolts. Simple

Hey could you provide info or video on how you switched out the rear step surround? I've got.the mopar blk textured rear step surround, and it has tabs all around the piece, snap on functionality, without any screws. How did you pop off this piece? Thank you.
Gene P. Just use plastic pry tools and pull up on the pad it pops out super easy. Look at the replacement black pad you’re going to swap in and locate all the key clip areas this is a huge help.

Great informational video! Would you be willing to show me how to replace the chrome outer window lining with the black? To order this black strip, you need to identify a Jeep GC at a dealership, then ask what part # it is. This would make the GC look even cleaner imo. Any suggestions? Also, do you have a video on swapping out the side mirrors? Thanks again.
Thanks! I’m not sure we will ever get around to replacing the trim. There is some videos out there however and check out jeepgarage forum for more info on that. I don’t have a video for the mirrors, I did most the mods on the Jeep before I got into vlogging them. A lot of people also go the vinyl route on the trim. Cheers!
I drive a 2017 overland. I ordered my window chrome delete vinyl 3m sticker from crux motor. It looks perfect and if I can do it anybody can. They have a video on you tube but its pretty self explanatory.

So here is my question. I have murdered out several of my Jeeps in the past but my 15 Limited has the chrome covers on the door handles and the side view mirrors. I want to paint them to match the body color, True Blue Pearle using paint from the Touchup Zone. Any tips on removing the covers and any experience with Touchup Zone paint? Thanks.
I’ve used touch up paint before however what is your intention? To use a spray can right?? Chrome covers & not actual handles?

Does anyone know what would cause the passive entry on the front passenger door not to work after doing this? It works fine on the drivers side but not on the passenger. Unlocking and locking neither one works from the outside.
You forgot to plug in one of the connectors or didn’t get it plugged in all the way. I actually made this mistake
Was thinking of buying body colored door handles but after seeing this video on how to replace them it just doesn't seem worth it. I'm mostly concerned that everything doesn't get put back as securely and I'll end up with rattles etc.
Yup it’s a PITA would do again if I had chrome handles on a older model.
Any reason why you chose to replace the whole handle (which I am sure was not cheap) as opposed to buying the $20 black gloss handle covers and painting them OEM white to match your jeep? I am leaning towards this as a cheaper option then replacing the handles themselves. Thoughts?
FunkyMedicine I picked up the handles on eBay for about $200. I don’t usually cut corners on aesthetic mods, if I can replace with oem stuff. The covers will have gaps on backside where you slide your hand. That would bother the heck out of me.
However you do you! I totally get it money could be spent else where.

Didn’t use wrap, those are the oem painted bezels.

I used 3m caps, I hold recommend buying used covers for an oem look

Just cover the silver parts way easier and cheaper. Replacing the entire handle takes some work.

Apostolis Balanikas thanks! Don’t worry the video isn’t going anywhere. They are stick on, almost perfect fit but up close you can see it is thicker and not oem.
Other than that I’m happy with them not trying to break the bank on the Jeep build 👍

Apostolis Balanikas key cylinder slides in and out easy. The handles I ordered came like that way, I mounted them to the oem pieces nothing to worry about.

How did you replace the fog light bezel? We have the part coming today to change ours out today
Christine Sidden undo the bottom part of plastic under front bumper it’s some plastic pop clips then get access behind fender liner to pop out the bezel from behind

No, you will be able to swap out the lock cylinder it’s easy. 👌

Ha ha...you went from jeep to Subaru...I was looking at Subarus and almost bought one, but the fact that they do not have the ability to lock up the drive train off road led me to buy a Jeep Cherokee trail hawk. After a small lift and bigger tires I have an off road beast that none of the newer Subarus can touch off road no matter how you mod them!

Thank you for a excellent video! I followed your video with one change I made. If you unscrew the 3 screws that attach the power window motor this frees the window to move it up and down by hand so you can more finely move the window to get at that clip that keeps the window in place. I was having some difficulty getting the clip where I needed it to get my hand or a tool near it, but I was working on the passenger door also. Thank you for doing this for us Jeep owners!
