Believe me, I spent 25 years lost in reformed theology, going through the motions, thinking I was saved until God by His mighty and compassionate grace saved me by leading me to a proper free grace gospel. He delivered me and I finally have peace and I know I am saved. Anyone who tries to add works to the finished blood atonement of Christ is saying His crucifixion was not sufficient. That is heresy.

itsn ot about us and the "Evidence is not us, its what christ has done, knowing you are forgiven is not based on how much we do or don't do or how good we think we are, i'm not righteous but i have a perfect righteousness in christ, thats where it is, IN CHRIST, not in me, not in this flesh and carnal world, its only in christ.

@@frame3139 That's not what Christ meant. In actuality, you became tired of fighting sin, so you turned the Truth of God into a lie and gave yourself to it. "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Galatians 6:7-9

God can actually be glorified by the punishment of the wicked if they don't repent,

Sinful = all human beings It's sinful to think that we do not sin. It's sinful to think that we can work our way free from sin.

Romans 3: 10-12: Sinful = all human beings
1John 1:10: It's sinful to think that we do not sin.
Gal 2:16: It's sinful to think that we can work our way free from sin.
Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Gal_2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
1Jn_1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Read your bible. But first change to the KJV.

The verse says "all have sinned", not all do sin. Give up your sinning and turn to Christ. You didn't inherit someone else's sin, as in Adam. You are only accountable for the sin you commit. Scripture says, "Be ye holy, for I am holy", and "Go and sin no more". A sinner is one who loves their sin, a saint is one who loves righteousness. Of course we are tempted and have the ability to sin, but we don't just succumb wilfully to being one who sins. Blessings.

5But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) 6God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world? 7For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner? 8And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just. 14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
      ~James 2:14-24
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
      ~Luke 24:44-48
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
~John 8:11-13 King James Version (KJV)
      13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
      15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
      18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
      ~I Peter 1:13-25
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
21 For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
      ~Acts 26:18-21
18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
      ~Acts 11:18-21
~Repentance is not a work, but a sacrifice. It means that you change your mind about who God is.
You cannot separate faith and repentance.
And by your own logic, why will you teach to turn only from the sin of unbelief to have salvation?
What about turning from all sin like the Bible actually teaches. ~ May God bless

Good and evil cannot come from the same source. Jesus “himself” is our good works. The body of sin “our flesh” can only sin. Jesus is our salvation. To do works for Jesus=doing works for salvation because Jesus is salvation. Jesus is My reward. Jesus is my Good works for only God is good. Your rewards are equal to your works. My works testify I am of born God because Jesus is my good works and he testifies of me. Can your works speak? If they can’t they are dead works. Jesus is my good fruit. You will know them by their fruit. What is your fruit? The works of your hands? The works of men’s hands are evil and even more the works of the world are evil. The world hates Jesus for the fact that they cannot be self righteous. That they can do no good on this earth in the sight of God. People say “when God looks at you he sees Jesus”, but they are double minded because they point you back to yourself and your performance. The devil is subtle.... very subtle.

Just your avoidance of those question's alone shows me that I am right! You took things to a combative level, and I am not against you only the free will teaching! To me your save by ISAS! I still don't know why you don't think you can pluck yourself out of God's hand! I still don't know why you trust the Bible since according to free will men would have made a lot of error's and maybe even omitted things!

Read on, 1 Corinthians 6:11 "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6:9 is very true. No sinner can not enter the kingdom of heaven. But let me ask you this, did Jesus sin? No! He was perfect and sinless. So, by faith, we attain His righteousness by faith. God looks at His perfection and not ours when dealing with salvation when we simply believed in Jesus.

"wilful sin" thats a bogus term, in hebrews when it mentions that the context is priests still sacraficing bulls and goats, so its referencing "if you sin" don't keep killing bulls and goats, its not talking about the day to day sins you commit, thats not the context, all sin is willful, you gonna say you sin on accident? you better own your sin, you have to own it, you're not a pretend accidental sinner, you're a SINNER like everyone else in practical terms, the flesgh isn't good and your sin is intentional on purpose like the rest of the human race and you trying to pretend you only accidentaly and is BULLSHIT.

+Brit Lynn Your comment - "So if we die in our sin we can go to heaven?
Please read the KJV Bible. Don't be deceived."
My comment - "Stop sinning" will not save you. That is teaching works for salvation. It is the unsaved who die that are eternally condemned.
Samson is a true man of God and at the same time a FORNICATOR - Judges 16:1. As a painful consequence of his fornication, Samson was captured by the Philistines and had both eyes gouged out - Judges 16:21, and the Philistines also degraded and ridiculed Samson publicly - Judges 16:25. Samson's last prayer just before his simultaneous murder/suicide was NOT a prayer of repentance, but was a request to God to strengthen him so that he could get REVENGE on the Philistines for the loss of his 2 eyes. Then in Judges 16:28-30, Samson commits a simultaneous MURDER/SUICIDE.Yet Samson is listed as a Godly man of faith in Hebrews 11:32. Samson would not be listed there if he was unsaved. Samson is a true man of God as indicated in Judges 13:7, and Judges 13:24.
King Solomon is a true man of God, but became a serial polygamist and DEMON WORSHIPER at the end of his life - 1 Kings 11:1-13. Solomon even built 2 altars to the 2 demon gods, Chemosh and Molech in 1 Kings 11:7. Molech was a demon god that required child sacrifices - a Satanic practice. (The practice of sacrificing one's sons/daughters in the fire - Leviticus 18:21, 2 Kings 23:10) This was King Solomon. Solomon persisted in his sins despite God warning him TWICE - 1 Kings 9:2 - 6, 1 Kings 11:9-11. Because of Solomon's defiance, God declared to Solomon that He would tear away a major portion of his kingdom, but do it in his son's generation because of God's covenant with Solomon's father, King David.
God then brought 3 adversaries against Solomon - 1 Kings 11:14, 23, 26. Then we read that Solomon tried to commit MURDER in 1 Kings 11:40. Nowhere in Scripture does it ever say that Solomon "lost his salvation" or "never had it to begin with."
People in the Old Testament were saved the exact same way as people in New Testament times, otherwise the apostle Paul would not have quoted Genesis 15:6 in Romans 4:2-6, and Galatians 3:6 in support of the gospel.

    • @britlynn7049
      @britlynn7049 7 років тому +1

Not you, no matter how wise you think you are, nor anyone else can judge the finality of a man's soul and declare it's final destination. That is God's place alone.
Just because a man sins doesn't mean he's already condemned to Hell, but you claim that it's out of necessity that we must sin. However, Scripture declares that God is not the author of confusion and He hates sin. Therefore, God never puts us in a position where the only choice is to commit sin against Him.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" .
For those who have faith, sin is overcome.
You are wrong in saying that Sampson and other OT men were saved by the blood spilled on the cross by Jesus at Calvary. They were saved by being obedient to God. The relationship of atonement between them was different before the veil was rent and the ultimate sacrifice for sin paid. Again, pray and ask for wisdom from He who is all knowing and wise.

    • @wtom04
      @wtom04 7 років тому +3

+Brit Lynn I NEVER said that "it's out of necessity that we must sin". I never made that statement. Man is eternally saved right at the very moment of faith on Christ and His finished work on the cross. The thief on the cross BELIEVED, and eternal life was granted to him instantly for all eternity - Luke 23:42-43.
John 5:24 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; BUT IS PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE.
Ephesians 1:13 - In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, YE WERE SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE.
NO, you are wrong in your assertion that people in the Old Testament were saved by their "obedience".
Genesis 15:6 - And Abraham BELIEVE in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Romans 4:2-6 - 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Galatians 3:6 - Even as Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
The apostle Paul quoted Genesis 15:6 in Romans 4:3 and Galatians 3:6 because salvation is by faith alone, NOT by our works in "obedience". There are many devout Roman Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Calvinists, and Arminians who are obsessed with "obedience", but are NOT saved because they all have a different "Jesus" that is not the same Jesus of the Bible.

    • @wtom04
      @wtom04 7 років тому +3

+Brit Lynn I never claimed that I was "wise", but it is the very Word of God that is wiser than any false doctrine that insists that it is man's "obedience" that attains eternal life. Eternal life is a free gift that is NOT of works - Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23.
Romans 3:20 - Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God's sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Romans 3:28 - For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
Romans 4:2-6 - 2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about--but not before God 3For what does the Scripture say? “ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness. 6 David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
Romans 9:32 - Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.

I do believe we can be eternally secure, or sure of our standing with the Lord.
I do also believe the KJV Bible teaches a change of mind and attitude toward sin.
We acknowledge it for what it is and try to avoid it and prevent it. Am I perfect?
I will not boast in self but in Christ, who tells me to "sin no more".
No, I am not perfect nor sinless but my Lord is and I strive to be like him.
Thanks for your efforts and comment!

Amen Brothers. First John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. People who believe they have no sin are only self righteous hypocrites. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. That is why He had to die and take the punishment we deserve, so we would not have to go to hell to pay for our sins. Jesus Paid it all, and we paid 0. It is free. John 3:18 Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, and we all sin and we all die, but the GIFT of God is eternal life. Great message brothers. God can not be in our debt. Romans 4:4 and 4:5. And we bring glory to God when we believe. Ephesians 1:14. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death. We all deserve to go to hell. But the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Who gets the glory? He does. What did we do for salvation? Nothing. We have nothing to boast in. Not the law or good works. It is either free or it is not salvation by grace. Romans 11:6 We can add nothing to what He has already done. Salvation is done, not do. Romans 4:-8 He took our sins, and gave us His righteousness. What a trade. And it is free just by believing on His name.
First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye MAY KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 1:12 Once we become a child of God, we are a child of God forever. As Hank Lindstrom use to say, you are going to heaven whether you want to or not.

The Calvinist's read Ephesians 2:8-9 and say faith is the gift. But if you compare Romans 6:23 it says, eternal life is the gift for when we believe. If we could lose our salvation, then we could earn it. If we could earn it, Jesus died in vain. Praise God, Jesus paid my sin debt in full when He said "it is finished". That is accounting term that means PAID IN FULL.

Salvation is a free gift. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace ye are saved, through faith, and that not of you selves, it is the GIFT of God, not of works, what we do or do not do, lest any man should boast.
Should we live right? Yes, but living right does not save anybody. We have to have all our sins paid for. First Corinthians 15:1-4 That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures. When we believe that gospel we are saved and given the Holy Spirit of promise and eternal life.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also AFTER ye believed ye were sealed by that Holy Spirit of promise. BORN AGAIN. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit in whom ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
We can only be saved by what Jesus did for us, not by what we do. Romans 11:6 It is all grace, not works. Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believe on Him who justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. We are all sinners and can only be saved by Jesus blood sacrifice for all sin. Romans 8:9 Without the Sprit there is no salvation, with the Spirit we have eternal life. Second Timothy 2:19

Jesus already paid our sin debt in full when he said, IT IS FINISHED. That is an accounting term that means paid in full. John 3:18. We can no longer be condemned. All our sins are paid forever. First John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. But we have to believe it to be saved. We have to accept the free gift of salvation by faith. Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude a man us justified by faith, apart from the deeds of the law.
We could never do any thing to save ourselves. We can only be saved by what He did for us, and then we have nothing to boast in. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. It is free. Romans 6:23

Some people are teaching this dangerous Gospel. Yes we are saved by Grace alone but it includes the whole New Testament and all that Christ taught. Yes it is all part and parcel of salvation. We are born again if we develop a intimate personal relationship w/our Lord. So Christ wont say "I never knew you". (Math 7:21-23). When one excepts the gift of salvation. This has gotten to be ridiculous semantics to be saved. I guess we may as well throw out the book of James. It's understood we do these things, repent, obey etc. out of love for our Lord. Not to work for salvation. James wrote the book of James because he came across these same issues. That is why there are so many "fake" Christians. Then many fall away because there is no substance to their salvation. That is like John MacArthur saying we can take the mark of the beast and later repent and still be saved (He actually taught that) ( MacArthur also taught The blood of Christ did not save us, look it up) when in fact the scripture teaches against it. If we truly love our Lord, we do all these things. Read James. he says "You say you have faith but have no fruit! I'll show you my works to prove my faith" (James 2:18), Was James kidding? Are we not admonished by Holy scripture that "ALL" scripture is given to us unto salvation. To study daily to be approved. To those who persevere and run the good race, to study scripture daily. That not all who call Jesus Lord (As Jesus taught) will enter in? This grace only salvation is throwing out the whole new Testament almost. Be very careful many will come in that day and teach another gospel. Pick up your cross daily (Luke 9:13). Yes The Gospel is "THE GOOD NEWS:!.

I think this is the danger this version of the gospel creates. I think once saved always saved is biblical, but I also believe that being saved (born again to be lead by the spirit) is something we need to be precise about. You can say oh yes I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins, but this does not make you saved in my opinion. I don’t believe “turning from sin” is classified as a work because turning from sin and not wilfully sinning is a sign of someone who is born again. Someone who continues to live as a pagan with gospel in the back pocket is in spiritual danger.

Yes we are all sinners, and Christians can and do fall short. But not all sin is unto death. Unbelief kills, and those who forsake the holy commandment demonstrate that they are wicked children of hell and have no part of Christ. If you are not striving - surrendering yourself to Christ in continual faith and continual repentance from sin, knowing that God is Light and in Him is no darkness, then to say you are right with God is a lie. Sin is NOT okay. Sin must be put to death. This is the attitude of those who belong to God. But the wicked will cherry pick verses out of context, make excuses, and harden themselves to the Truth because they love darkness and want to keep their lives rather than be nailed to the cross. Don't bother coming at me with empty words, I tell you all right now you are deceived and unless you repent, you will surely perish.

PTSD etc…I do believe Christians have to work on their relationships with Jesus after salvation but no one can be perfect! That’s why God sent Jesus because humans already proved in Old Testament days they can’t be perfect and without the cross we are doomed. King David was a man after Gods own heart and look at all he did. King David wanted a married woman so he sent her husband to his death to cover up the fact he got her pregnant and God punished him on earth by taking his son. Moses had a terrible temper and was called a crazy person. Even Abraham did some terrible things but he loved God.

We need to keep the Law. Paul never taught against the law and He himself declares this. Those claiming he taught against it are the same as those Pharisees falsely accusing him
Acts 24:12 And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city: 13Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. 14But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
Also In Acts 15, The counsel's Decision on the matter was that we teach the Gentiles to first keep the Heart of the Torah (Lev 17-18) Which teaches those 4 things and for Gentiles to then after coming in to hear Moses EVERY SABBATH IN THE SYNAGOGUE! THATS THE DECISION! The people dont know the Law like the Jews from birth being taught. So the Gentiles must first start with these 4 before we have any dealings with them then they must learn what Moses wrote an put into practice.
Acts 15:19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
To understand Paul better. 1John 3:4 Sin is the transgression of the law. So every time Paul uses the word sin. just replace it with breaking the law in its proper verb tense. Completely flips Preachers views around with the understanding that we cannot change biblical definitions of what words are especially sin.

Karen Reid false translation. KJV actually never says that, it says “Can not commit sin.” Any evil done is due to the flesh but I’m no longer dead in the flesh, because my spirit is made anew by Christ.
Any sin after that leads to removing your rewards in heaven, but never your ETERNAL reward.

1 John 1:8-10 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

I'm sorry but I was a back-slider & I believe that if I died in my willful sin & disobedience/rebellion against God, I would have seen justice in hell. Glory be to God, He extended His grace to me & brought me back in (He found the lost sheep). I don't believe that someone who has been truly converted can just continue on in a life of willful sin & disobedience to God the way an unconverted sinner does. I left the Lord because I didn't understand the gospel & ultimately thought I needed to be perfect, but we should be striving to be transformed by the renewing of our minds everyday & abstaining from sin by the power of the Holy Spirit out of love for Jesus if we have been born again. There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who walk according to the Spirit & not according to the lusts of the flesh. We won't ever NOT sin in this life even as being born again, but as being someone who has been born again, you no longer just live a life of willful disobedience. You fight against the lusts of the flesh & through the power of the Holy Spirit, bring the flesh under submission to the Lord. You may not achieve perfect obedience to the Lord in this life, but you will be able to obey. Once-saved, always saved is absolute HERESY.

Really though?? He's enabling sin. Jesus Christ was very clear on this: "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:20
There is no such thing as a magic irrevocable ticket that guarantees you entry to heaven even if you live in sin. What happens to sinners? "Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." Rev 21:7-8

@@steenystuff1075 The righteousness imputed by Christ, through our faith, produces a fruitful harvest of good works, not sin. We are not perfect and will inevitably sin on occasion, but God provides pruning for this. It is not our own righteousness that produces good works, so that no one can brag. The glory is to God, the righteousness is from God. Those that do not bear fruits will be cut down and thrown in the fire. I intend to work out my Salvation with fear and trembling, in reverence of the mighty power of God, never taking this precious gift for granted. A loving parent is still to be obeyed. A loving parent is not slack, they are just and fair. If you live in sin and think you're saved just because 20 years ago you said a prayer, you're going to have a nasty discovery ahead. Salvation is a process, not a legal transaction. Our actions matter. Sin is the problem. Once saved always saved takes the emphasis off of sanctification where it belongs. It makes for easy believism and a wide path that appeals to sinful nature of the masses.

Incidentally, salvation IS a legal transaction. It is not a process. Jesus fulfilled the law so that we wouldn't have to. He removed the sin of the world in order that all who believe on Him may be saved. If you don't believe on Jesus alone, you cannot be saved. The reason for that is that you have not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. Its not a case of believing IN Jesus, in the sense of believing He existed but believing on what He did and how He obtained the name that is above every name. Heb 1:3 tells us that after He had BY HIMSELF purged our sin... If He has purged our sin, how can we still be walking in it? You are mistaken.
