Great to see those excited about history. Just a few points to add here. First the Mexican army was closer to 4,000 men and the Battle of San Jacinto where the Texans won was the following month of the same year. April 21, 1836 and it lasted only 18 minutes.

How were you able to film inside the chapel? I thought cameras were prohibited inside?

Hey Josiah, I didn't find that recording was prohibited in the churches. As long as you are respectful and solemn- they tend to be ok with you admiring the beauty of the church.

Hey Turbon, yes for sure, even though the Texans lost, the Battle of the Alamo is often credited as the starting point of Texas pride.

I don't think the battle at San Jacinto was "a couple of years later".

      @@ProjectGaiaTravel I think he's joking. That's a reference to the Pee-Wee Herman movie.

Actually it would be a foot note in history, and likely not even have anything left to visit if it wasn't for Davy Crockett and James Bowie. Especially Crockett who was famous then. Then infamous after. And Bowie, who we still know and call the famous knife, the Bowie knife. Crockett was basically an American treasure. Things in politics are different now, but think of it like John MCCAIN was alot younger, and MCCAIN was killed. Crockett was someone who could have been one of our presidents if he wasn't killed.

Would you get your HEAD out of the picture so the audience could see what you are talking about? Thanks.

What happened in Goliad was much worse and is what led to the frenzied killing at San Jacinto.
