I've noticed, too, many stamps on eBay that are worth pennies but are offered for hundreds to thousands of dollars. Then I look at seller's other items and find them selling clothes, guitar, games, sports cards, etc. They might not be deliberately deceptive but have no knowledge of stamps and are hoping they have a rare one. If they check prices at all, they are seeing similar prices from other ebay sellers who also don't know what THEY are doing. It becomes a case of the blind leading the blind. This seems to be more prevalent nowadays than it used to be.
Daniel, thanks for this. I also found that some sellers want an exorbitant amount of money for shipping. I noticed one seller who wanted around $27.00 to ship a single stamp worth $4.00. Love your videos.
Our local stamp shop sold 2/5c stamps by the thousands. Many $1+ value were found. Geo W may have been our 1st president, but was put on 800 billion 1c value stamps, still worth 1c today.

I love finding kiloware lots for myself and kiddos. I’ve only been disappointed once from EBay. And it was a US seller which really shocked me. The description and the photos were nothing of what actually came. Just a box of duplicate stamps already separated - no fun at all. I haven’t had any issues with kiloware lots from overseas.
Mallard, great stuff, although I was surprised by the mini sheet at 4.17, these are listed with Stanley Gibbons at £7-8 K. I don't know very much about the US stamps, but you are absolutely right if you are thinking of spending that sort of money then certification is a definite. I always think the best place to buy stamps is either at a Stamp Fair or with a dealer that you know. Keep up the good work. Like the P40 on the wall.
Mallard.. I’m just getting started with collecting/gathering/hunting US stamps. Any tips on where i can find good quality, old, mint and used definitives? What should i be focusing my hunt on? And where should i go to do it? Everything i have is worth like .03-.15 cents… I’d like to at least find something valued at $1 to add to my collection. LOL!! Any tips would be appreciated brother. I am from Brazil and I will sell a lot of stamps from my collection on eBay. Almost all brazilian stamps from empire. I have studied a lot to put correct descriptions and correct prices. I don't know other place for selling stamps like eBay. Do you know?
