The E-flite® Pitts S-1S scale biplane is an officially licensed replica of the full-scale aerobatic icon that's expertly designed and equipped to deliver a flight experience that's easy to enjoy. The overall dimensions capture the revolutionary Pitts outlines while EPO construction helps present scale detail with a high level of durability. Even though installing and removing the wings is incredibly simple and tool-free, this beautiful bipe is sized so you probably never need to take it apart. Like the full-scale, under the hood is the kind of power that distinguishes this aerobat as a potent performer with virtually unlimited potential. Ballistic vertical climbs, dizzying snaps, crisp rolls and sharp corners are just a few of its specialties. Scale pilots will appreciate its smooth flight performance and level of detail, while everyone will enjoy its power system versatility. Whether you choose to fly this one-of-a-kind aerobat on a 3S or 4S LiPo, this Pitts S-1S bipe will deliver an aerobatic experience without equal.

I’ve added an ounce of lead to the very tip end of the fuselage to get this on the book CG. And that’s with the 4S 2200 30C battery as far back on the tray as it can go, and still have both straps holding it down. Re-maiden tomorrow; I flew it nose heavy today, and didn’t care for it. It’ll be much better in recommended range, me thinks.

I got this plane 1 year ago! I Absolutely love it. When 4 s is fresh . 50c rate. I can prop hang. Lil squirrel y. But. GIDDYUP ! It does it . Sometimes I fly with 3300 mah. But usually not as heavy . With low mah 50c. I got 74 mph . But it was 6 mph cross wind .

Wes, Great video! I changed out my wheels to Robart Low Bounce and it improved the ground handling INCREDIBLY! On a paved runway this plane with the stock wheels would bounce and get really squirrely! Changing the wheels fixed it big time! This plane is a favorite in my fleet!

Fantastic save in the beginning. It gets a lot less squirrelly on the landings when you slide the battery back a bit. I keep mine at the very back of the tray, aft edge of the pull eye. It’ll slow down quite a bit, think delta wing on landings.I’m curious to see what you say about the FMS Pitts. It’s all I lack for a full line up. UMX to Hangar 9

Hi, I wanted to add a comment because I have been dutifully waiting for this plane to be delivered for 8 MONTHS now. It was on backorder when I purchased it in Nov '22, then it changed to "discontinued" a few months ago. Horizon support assured me it is still available and will be delivered, yet since that time, they keep moving the delivery date back each month. They've definitely got my money...no Pitts here. Wondering if anyone else has had this experience?

You are an amazing rc pilot!!! I can use some much needed help. I bought this exact Pitts a few months ago and didn’t get time until lately to put it together. For some reason I can’t get it to bind with my DX8. I have the umx Pitts and lots of horizon’s umx models among many larger planes (example their F4U 1A Corsair and quite a few more) but for some reason straight from the box I can’t even get the receiver flashing to bind… Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!

What I need to know is can you fly this on a major league size baseball field. I fly my UMX Pits and UMX A10 there. It's a little tight for the A10 speed runs but I can make it work up high. The Pits flies perfectly in there and doesn't even use the whole field. Thank you sir.

    • @MerryBoozerRC
