That's dope! I needed this encouragement. My hubby and I have created a t-shirt company recently. Our house burned down in July and we thought it would be a good way to earn our way out of the ashes that has become our lives. It's going slow but we practice everyday and I believe we will pick up soon. Gonna have to get some of your stickers so I can stay organized.

Marleny XO I re-opened my shop at the beginning of this month, and I’ve sold 13 shirts so far. You just have to share it on all of your social media once you create the shop, and you’ll get the sales.
The standard for any retail store is earning .05 on the $1. Yes only 5cents. It breaks down like this:
60% of every dollar-Product cost(PAPER ,INC, ENVELOPES)
35%-Extra expenses-(ALL TAXES, ins., building mantinance empolyees cost, bills,health ins, Equipment REPAIR,profit sharing, savings for company, ETC...)
5% - PROFIT
All the billion dollar corperations down to small retail shops should use this standard. The really successful ones do.

Yes, I will cover that in my upcoming Etsy series. However, I’ll tell you now that I work my full-time job 9 to 5-ish Monday through Friday so about 40 hours of my time are invested into my full time job, 20 hours a week into Etsy & 10 into UA-cam. Roughly. Maybe I should actually track it one week 😬

Did all of your customers come from your UA-cam channel? Because I've been on etsy for almost a year and I've made less than you in total! I've made 2449.33 and that is fees and taxes included. I think if that's the case you should mention that in your video. Of course you have worked hard on your UA-cam channel so that's why in would be good to mention as not everyone has already a platform established to begin with. I know this is a year old and also haven't watched any other of your videos which i will do so now, but this is what came to my mind just from watching your video and you for the first time 🙂
Exactly what i was thinking, getting 2,600 is alot of money to get in 2 weeks and doesnt really happen to people who are completely starting out and dont really have a following

I think it’s ridiculous that Etsy charges 5% of shipping now. The items I sell are not very expensive and I usually charge exact shipping. 😑

I've been keeping a printer, Cricut machine, and other supplies in my Amazon cart for months, and I finally committed to purchasing them in December. Now I'm brainstorming designs, and I just gotta DO IT. When we first start out, the first few won't be perfect, but we can always look back on where we were and get better every time. I've been sabotaging myself for a while to start on Etsy: it's not ready, not good enough, not perfect, etc. It even didn't matter if others told me how nice it looked. How much did you spend on supplies? Is this a true profit? This is not really showing the true picture as there are expenses related to creating the stickers. Printer, paper, ink, shipping packaging and other costs.

ive had my etsy store for two years and am lucky if i earn $30 per month. its so depressing and frustrating. i work on my store everyday for usually 8 hours per day. im super happy for you but i always wonder what people like you do that im not doing.

Wow people have a monthly income that high? Right now for a 4 person family we bring in less then a grand a month. It's hard. My mind is blown. I want to start a UA-cam channel this year but coming up with the money for a tripod and capable phone is impossible. I'm hoping to start around income tax time and hopefully will see a return from that. Even $800 a month would make me so happy

Thank you for sharing your information and your journey! I myself have been designing and using my own stickers for 3 years. I always have people ask what shop I get them from. When my planner group friends found out they asked me if I was going to open a Etsy shop. I wasn’t sure however my marriage of 13 years ended on Christmas (it’s a good thing) but I want to make a little extra money for my two boys and I to do fun things. Short answer, I’m going to open my shop now very soon!!!! I hope it is successful because I am also a perfectionist. 👍🏼❤️🤓

Congrats on the sales and I'm sure it's only grown since this video. Also thanks for openly sharing your numbers. But aren't you leaving out an important number: the COGS? Cost of Goods Sold. You didn't mention how much it cost you to make the items. Also any other costs of starting a business, website, etc. Finally, omg how do you have such a low rent payment?! I paid way more than that for a studio apartment in the 90s. I'm jealous!
