Todays project is my first attempt at making the milled XY Joiner plate.
Still made a few mistakes, but nothing that would prevent me from using this part.

Do you see much of a difference in surface finish between the 0.4mm roughing and 0.2mm finishing passes on the facing op?

not much, 0.2 is a hair better.. i think to get it even better i need to crank up the movement speed..

What is that face mill you got?

It's a 3 Flute made by Fraiser, the 35mm "BOSS TORNADO" (🤣), i also have the "ULTIMATE" inserts but havent tried them yet

A little bit of chatter on that first contour pass in this case its fine cause its being cleaned up but my suggestion is not to contour deeper that 1 tool diameter.

Yeah, that's cause of the bit of chatter on the adaptive, which is also full depth... doing 2 stepdowns would be something i'd change for the next one as well
