I am sitting at my desk, listening to this during my planning period as a teacher, and trying to debate if this is possible for one and somehow still understanding how someone can slip through the cracks at the same time 😂. I'm baffled about this because here, the states are worried about certification and master's degrees while this man can't read or write.
My uncle worked at a now closed oil refinery years ago and would often talk about his supervisor who we later found out could not read or write. The same supervisor was notorious for obtaining high position jobs in fields that required school degrees of which he had none.
I get this and SquaddCast on Mondays ☺️☺️☺️ These two shows are a way to make the best Monday possible. I can only imagine how many people play y'all on the way to work or in the office, I wouldn't be able to focus in the office 🤣😂😂 I work from home so I'm grateful that I get to relax and listen. Shout-out to all the hard workers 👏🏾👏🏾 And congratulations to Kev on his NAACP win👏🏾👏🏾👑👏🏾👏🏾, Melissa's reaction was priceless
Why is no one asking how this teacher affected or even presumed to grade his students? Surely we can have a conversation about adult illiteracy, but students passed or did NOT pass his class based on a teacher who didn't have the basic skills he required from his students...
So I remember hearing this story on DIYS first and my mouth was open the whole damn time. That man Ocean 11'd his way through life and the school system. If there is one thing white men don't run short on it's audacity and nerve.
So….we gonna pretend that Tony popping up wasn’t a, what da hell, moment 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😂😂😂😂 I had to go back to see if he was there the whole time 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 But Kevin snorting was hilarious 😂😂😂😂 Great episode 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
My first thought was our school system is so broken, even the teacher got through with learning how to read or write 😅😂 ok lemme go actually listen to the explanation.
I remember having to read that story about the teacher in college...what's wild about it is how he finally decided to get help and how he confessed to the school
@@Merinkous yes being a preacher's kid, my mom had taught me and my brother really young how to hear harmonies and chords for our 3 person choir lol so that lead to me being able to learn different instruments pretty quickly not by reading but from memorization.
Maybe a functional illiterate. (Or the story might be false?) Many people navigate their lives as illiterate or functional illiterates. Some may be teachers.judging the level of some students. And with modern technology look for more with these ‘abilities’
I'm mad I never got my noti yesterday for this show! 😠 I literally thought maybe they took a week off or something. Thank goodness I got to watch this filmed live in Patreon! 🎬🙌🏾
When Kev started to bite his finger to try to see if you can actually bite it off, in my mind I was wishing that his finger would actually come off Like a ken doll 😂😂😂😂😂
I went to Oakland, Ca public schools...this doesn't surprise me 🤷🏾. The education system had a quota to meet, so they passed students along like you pass salt and pepper without a care of who taught them. Many of the teachers didn't care, and those who wanted to care, couldn't. Sad.....
Kanisha: My sister can't read that well
Kev: She know how to write Kanisha Buss though...
🤣🤣🤣🤣
So unnecessary 😂😂
😂😂😂😂 I that at the same time as Kev
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🥴🤣🤣🤣🤣
"I Saw This on the Internet" podcast hosted by NAACP Image Award winner @KevOnStage 🎬🏆🎬
Heyyyyy won't he do it
Yassss! 🤸🏾♀️💯🎬
HELLO!!!!!!!
That teacher had a handful of students screaming “I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG”
This show has quickly become a staple for my Monday!
Right. I'm starting to watch this instead of squaddcast on mondays
Lol I watch this and squadd cast lol
Agreed, mines too!

Dead ass I literally screamed WTF! 👀🤣
Bruh I saw a foot move in the background and was so confused 😂
Fr I was like has he been back there the whole time 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 right. Like was he lying down the whole time??
I thought it was me!

I’m doing the same thing😂
I’m some districts they just want a body to fill in the classroom they not checking into these people
@@dotdot_8003 and I Dont blame them 😂 but like I can see how someone can slip through
@@sodamnsexy16 messed up part is he was probably the best teacher 😭 too
32:55 When Tony Baker just appeared outta nowhere like man if you don’t gone get in on that round table talk 😂. Glad to see him around tho!
I was legit scared, seeing Tony. Like... It was so unexpected. Lmao. 😂😂
Kevin congratulations on the win, love this new show
Fun fact dyslexia was called word blindness
My uncle worked at a now closed oil refinery years ago and would often talk about his supervisor who we later found out could not read or write. The same supervisor was notorious for obtaining high position jobs in fields that required school degrees of which he had none.
You could do that stuff back in the day. My friends dad worked as an engineer in South Africa with fake university documents 🤦♀️
@@joanna0988 Understandable. The supervisor's job prior to that was being a police officer.
Officer: "You know how fast you were going back there?"
Teacher: "Not really..."
😂😂
I spent all episode trying to figure out who was in the back I would've never guessed in a million years it was TONY BAKER dog 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I wonder how many of his coworkers saw tht and was like.."I knew tht 🥷 couldn't read"
Shout out to Tony Baker on the couch. We love you Tony!!♥️♥️

Probably graded on attendance, and vocal tests, probably even a speech presentation
@Francena - Exactly! QTNA!
Tthhhaaatttt pppaarrttt…like, what type of demographics he taught, did he actually fail student’s???? Like how is this real???
Lol Tony in the back like a serial killer
"Cuz he was a whyite man"... Nah THASSIT! 🤣🤣🤣
I live in New Mexico and the fact that he couldn’t read and write and still passed his classes is still common in their schools even now.
So this is real. Why is it like that?
How?
They will give people a hs diploma???
How? They must really need teachers
ISawThisOnTheInternet & SquaddCast my Monday morning back to back feature!!! 🤞🏽🔥
I love how Kev hit rewind in his head to make sure he said "Brandi looks younger than she is" to make sure he hadn't said it wrong🤣🤣
I like how Tony Baker in the back like Agent 47
A good Monday show this hold me over until here's the thing on Wednesday
This show is definitely one of my favorites ❤❤ thank you Kevin for another amazing show!!
That "No Kenisha" came from Kevs soul lmao
I rewinded that part no less than 10x😂😂😂
@@klmalone91 same here lmao so much concern in his voice 🤣
He couldn't have been a full fledged certified teacher. How did he pass the test? Maybe there wasn't a test then.
I just read the story about the teacher and he just learned to read at 48.
Exactly! I'm like how did pass his annual evaluations without reading? lol
i went and read about it and he was cheating by using old exam papers. he would also sit in the back and copy off of people’s papers😭
I know of a man in South Africa that got forged diplomas and worked as an engineer but never went to university 😒😒😒
This was 1960 to 1973. What were the certification requirements back then? He cheated his way through college.
20:58…the shock and concern in Kev’s voice has me rolling 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This and squadd cast on Monday is an overload of laughing I gotta break them up in-between the day

I mean I was drum major for 2 years at my high school and never knew how to read music lol sometimes you can just fake the funk
So you can hear music really well to replicate it?
