Love that Adidas re-release their hyped sneakers from years back like the nmds and ultraboosts. The world needs more of that. Less hyped means more people can get and appreciate them
I actually just bought a pair of NMD's. First Boost experience (which led to me to pick up a pair of UB). I think the NMD's need more prime knit (more patterns like the UB). It's a great price point for casual wear if you can't get Yeezy's.
You're highlighting the problem with NMD. If you added prime knit and patterns you would literally have an ultraboost. the NMD is an UB with worse materials and stupid plugs on the midsole

The primeblue version are a lot more comfortable. The upper material doesn’t feel as hard as the previous version. Feels really soft. Also the cushioning around the ankle is different and a lot more cushioned. This version is much better than the old version. I’ve had both!

The NMDs were my first pair of Adidas just recently and I’m frankly not a sneakerhead at all. I really like them. They definitely won me over. The only thing that bugged me was breaking them in because my heels were in PAIN.
I just bought my first pair this month. The R1 v2. I love these things honestly. Only downside for me is the plastic piece on the middle part of my foot. I want to try the r1 and see if they fit better. I do enjoy these so far though

i love the nmd 1's, i've had a pair of nmd_1 pk's for 4-5 years now and it's still standing after heavy use , its super comfortable and wide in the front even though it doesnt look like it. THe prime knit is such a game changer, very light and breathable and gives you space for your toes and its a super light weight shoe, so there's nothing not to like - A great looking shoe that is really comfortable and not that expensive. I bought the new revised nmd_1's and they still look great and the sole is as comfortable as before but I don't dig the new upper in terms of comfort compared to the pk version. It's definitely not as breathable or stretchy and its very sad they didn't bring back the PK models. I think i read somewhere Nike sued them because of the PK technology or design.
I liked the nmds back in the day but I just have no desire to buy a new pair after I retired my originals. And unlike the ultraboost I wouldn’t really go out of my way to defend them if people wanna say they’re played out

Price point is wrong…$180 is steep even for the Pk model. It’s much less comfortable than UBs and they feel like a cheaper shoe. And they keep pushing mesh options. $150 for Pk versions as well as better colorways would make more sense
imo NMDs have always lived under the shadow of UBs for me, they do look good but not good enough and anywhere near comfy enough to get me back into wearing one. im sticking with the og UB silhouette ✌

@@gcforreal the UB21 feels like a well balanced, well thought out shoe. It’s has more than enough boost, not over doing it just for the sake of over doing it. The outsole adds a great amount of stability so you don’t feel like you’re sinking into your shoes too much when standing all day which can be bad for the knees. If your shoes are not stable enough, you have to make constant micro adjustments to maintain your posture/balance. The other thing that I don’t think gets enough recognition on the UB21 is the way it is tilted. To me, it’s perfect. Not so much where it feels like a rocker motion and is uncomfortable to stand but enough where walking forward feels so natural. It’s just a very comfortable experience that goes beyond just being “squishy”. As for colorways, I’m happiest with the all white. Most of my shoes are all white as that fits my style. Just pay attention to how it fits in with the clothes you have and wear.

They don't see those profits from resell. They probably make more money having a wide release (even on sale) since these shoes are like $5 to make.
Why would you want sneakers to be limited? I’m glad everything goes on sale or sits from adidas it makes things easy to get. Because with Nike or Jordan when you see a sneaker coming out we all collectively say oh let’s see if we are gonna take Ls.
The reason NMD's died is because Adidas stopped using Prime Knit, they had the perfect upper to go with Boost. No one was wearing normal NMDs it was all about the PKs

still the coolest sneakers in my opinion. I always keep a pair of ultra boost for when I want most comfort and NMDs when I want comfort, but a cooler looking shoe than the ultra's. 2 pairs of each in triple black and triple white. too clean :D
My first pair of sneakers was a pair of NMD Winter Wools and I still have them today (they're beat to shit and the boost is grimey but I keep them anyway, might try to revitalize them or black out the boost soon but cleaning the little hexagons inside is going to be a major pain). I love all the new NMDs and I always grab any pair that goes under $100 in my size. I don't really want to pay above that for them now that they're not so hype though.

I found a red pair used for 16 dollars. My only issue was the Lego pushing into my heel but adding an insole made the shoes much more comfortable. Glad I found them cause my last pair of red shoes needed to be replaced
That's funny you say that. I wear all my nmd with insoles because of my plantar fasciitis. Never had an issue with the blocks on the side either. I do have to size up .5 to one whole size though. I got legit insoles so they aren't thin.
I got a pair of those today at the mall they are comfortable than the other sneakers I wear when walking or running it's painful especially when standing all day while at work plus I don't have to worry about friction burns all the when walking around at work as well it can get painful and uncomfortable for me especially when I'm going places the world need these kind of shoes it would really help out a lot
In my opinion what Adidas needs to do is they need to firstly make certain NMD colourways a staple; meaning these few colours will be restocked constantly such as the classic Stan Smith navy, green, etc. so the NMD will instantly become a classic that people will think of when looking for a go-to pair of sneakers. What I observed with the Stan Smiths is that once the classic colourways’ stock is depleted, Adidas would restock it quickly and then advertise it on their main page so customers visiting the Adidas website are routinely reminded of the Stan Smiths’ presence. Don’t mean to sound like a broken radio but I wholly agree with NMD collabs. Just look at how successful the NMD x Star Wars collab was. Those Shoes were sold out within weeks where I live! I feel like the NMD silhouette is very versatile and there’s just so much potential to be realised with that canvas. Imagine if Off-White and Adidas NMD decided to make a collab. Those shoes would fly off the damn shelves real quick and the attention would also turn towards the NMD again.
I’m not sure what those kicks are Pharrell is wearing in those pics but I’ve been dying for them since I first saw them - the styling and coloring is so clean - really love it if those were the née NMDs
I have to go up half size in the new NMD because they don't use full primeknit which makes them more snug and in turn makes the EVA plugs on the back dig into the midfoot. Half size up was perfect for me
I just bought the primeblues cause I play indoor Nerf games and all the guys there wear running shoes or trainers but overall I am delighted with the comfort and weight (or lack thereof)
@Waldy Del Rosario I have now 15 pair of nmd. The size varies per colorway which sounds crazy. I wear 7.5 or 8 in women's depending on the color. It's actually annoying because when I buy online I either have to buy 2 sizes or hope the one I bought fits.
The only way I'd even consider buying an NMD is if they tweak the boost composition to make it more plush. NMD cushioning on the originals is flat and uncomfortable compared to other models.
Hopefully the flyknit / primeknit lawsuit doesnt hinder the comeback. I think there due for it! Nmd and ultraboost are unbeatable, especially for longevity and comfort.
Names are still hot and definitely relevant...they never left...you just don't hear about them because the hype beast boys aren't pumping them....and that's actually a good thing for us folks who just simply want to wear our sneakers....I like it this way....no hype.

I tried a pair of UB's and the sock fit choked the crap out of the instep of my foot and they were also too long. I like them but I can't wear them. I tried tts and .5 up and it was a no go for me.
Let's not revitalize it. I own 13 nmds. I just bought another pair off adidas ebay official store for $35. The average price I've paid for my nmd are $50. We don't need any revitalization lol, all that does is jack up the price. My best score was $22 nmd from Dicks that were clearanced from an instore return. The outlets were selling same colorway for $112 😂

its stupid ppl don't wear boosts anymore... after my first boost (Pureboost DPR) purchase in 2017 i just don't want to wear anything else other than boost. tried air like the Vapormax Plus, Airmax 270 & 720. and the more i tried other shoes the more i realized boost was and will always be the best + comfortable shoes.
Hey Hes, Hope u and the fam enjoying Maui! I must have the flattest widest feet in the world. Can't fit a single UB without pushing and pulling to death. I own 5 and it's always a chore to slip on. Always revert to my NMD's with some superfeets. Faves were the OG PK's.
Hey, do you wear your NMDs true to size or half size up? Before i bought i read everyone saying to buy tts because they are big compare to UB. The little lego piece digs into the side of my left foot and its uncomfortable
The hype will never come back sadly. What they did do is put the final nail in the coffin of the Roshe Run that started with the OG 350s. Nowadays I see everyday folk wearing it as their walking or light gym shoe. So it’s basically become what the Roshe was 🤷🏻♂️

Ub have a lot softer boost and more of the boost and very soft insole. Nmds feel very different - shoe is not only about looks.

My first pair of sneakers was a pair of NMD Winter Wools and I still have them today (they're beat to shit and the boost is grimey but I keep them anyway, might try to revitalize them or black out the boost soon but cleaning the little hexagons inside is going to be a major pain). I love all the new NMDs and I always grab any pair that goes under $100 in my size. I don't really want to pay above that for them now that they're not so hype though.

I found a red pair used for 16 dollars. My only issue was the Lego pushing into my heel but adding an insole made the shoes much more comfortable. Glad I found them cause my last pair of red shoes needed to be replaced
That's funny you say that. I wear all my nmd with insoles because of my plantar fasciitis. Never had an issue with the blocks on the side either. I do have to size up .5 to one whole size though. I got legit insoles so they aren't thin.
I got a pair of those today at the mall they are comfortable than the other sneakers I wear when walking or running it's painful especially when standing all day while at work plus I don't have to worry about friction burns all the when walking around at work as well it can get painful and uncomfortable for me especially when I'm going places the world need these kind of shoes it would really help out a lot

In my opinion what Adidas needs to do is they need to firstly make certain NMD colourways a staple; meaning these few colours will be restocked constantly such as the classic Stan Smith navy, green, etc. so the NMD will instantly become a classic that people will think of when looking for a go-to pair of sneakers.
What I observed with the Stan Smiths is that once the classic colourways’ stock is depleted, Adidas would restock it quickly and then advertise it on their main page so customers visiting the Adidas website are routinely reminded of the Stan Smiths’ presence.
Don’t mean to sound like a broken radio but I wholly agree with NMD collabs. Just look at how successful the NMD x Star Wars collab was. Those Shoes were sold out within weeks where I live! I feel like the NMD silhouette is very versatile and there’s just so much potential to be realised with that canvas. Imagine if Off-White and Adidas NMD decided to make a collab. Those shoes would fly off the damn shelves real quick and the attention would also turn towards the NMD again.

I have to go up half size in the new NMD because they don't use full primeknit which makes them more snug and in turn makes the EVA plugs on the back dig into the midfoot. Half size up was perfect for me
I just bought the primeblues cause I play indoor Nerf games and all the guys there wear running shoes or trainers but overall I am delighted with the comfort and weight (or lack thereof)

@Waldy Del Rosario I have now 15 pair of nmd. The size varies per colorway which sounds crazy. I wear 7.5 or 8 in women's depending on the color. It's actually annoying because when I buy online I either have to buy 2 sizes or hope the one I bought fits.
The only way I'd even consider buying an NMD is if they tweak the boost composition to make it more plush. NMD cushioning on the originals is flat and uncomfortable compared to other models.
Even Yeezy's designer is wearing Nike right now. Answer is nah.

Hopefully the flyknit / primeknit lawsuit doesnt hinder the comeback. I think there due for it! Nmd and ultraboost are unbeatable, especially for longevity and comfort.

Names are still hot and definitely relevant...they never left...you just don't hear about them because the hype beast boys aren't pumping them....and that's actually a good thing for us folks who just simply want to wear our sneakers....I like it this way....no hype.
Never liked the NMD. Had 2 pairs and kept both maybe 2 weeks. The design is blah to me and they aren’t that comfy, not uncomfortable, just nothing special. The block on the side always bothered me, it looks unfinished or something. Anyways great vid as always

I tried a pair of UB's and the sock fit choked the crap out of the instep of my foot and they were also too long. I like them but I can't wear them. I tried tts and .5 up and it was a no go for me.

Let's not revitalize it. I own 13 nmds. I just bought another pair off adidas ebay official store for $35. The average price I've paid for my nmd are $50. We don't need any revitalization lol, all that does is jack up the price. My best score was $22 nmd from Dicks that were clearanced from an instore return. The outlets were selling same colorway for $112 😂

tried air like the Vapormax Plus, Airmax 270 & 720. and the more i tried other shoes the more i realized boost was and will always be the best + comfortable shoes.

The hype will never come back sadly. What they did do is put the final nail in the coffin of the Roshe Run that started with the OG 350s. Nowadays I see everyday folk wearing it as their walking or light gym shoe. So it’s basically become what the Roshe was 🤷🏻♂️
