If I got free shoes , got paid to review shoes I’d smile to , but I’m brown . I’ve only noticed they send shoes to black and white people.
That's what to a sneakerhead be is.
If the S1 is meant for casual use, then it makes perfect sense they would make it a softer underfoot feel than the performance focused UB 21. But damn, it looks utterly insane: if this shoe was released under the Yeezy brand, sneakerheads would be salivating to the point of dehydration and it would sell for at least $50 more and would be a resale beast. A definite cop for me!
I agree 10000%. Adidas definitely borrowed some Yeezy aesthetics for these. This is what shoes should look like today. Definitely copping these and a pair of New Balance 990 V6 when they drop.
Sneaker heads don’t even care about half of the yeezy drops now lmfao a lot of the models barely resell
@@danielbras5123 somebody cares because most of them still sell out. At least where I am. Maybe not same day or within minutes but they sell out
@@3d1k3 Actually it's not so much that they sell out but Yeezy/Adidas pull them off the shelves if they don't look like selling out after some days or around 1-2 weeks max: it's like reverse logistics taken back a stage (the store is the startpoint for the process, rather than the customer). It definitely costs $$$ to the bottom line, but the idea is that hype is maintained, that some people miss out and then a few months later the is a magical "restock"...

@@bearatts agree to disagree. Adidas had has some really interesting shoes,maybe they don’t float your boat, but there’s been quite a few.

I’m not saying all of these shoes are good either, theres a couple duds,
There’s also some good ones, I have bad feet so I always have to take that into consideration. I wore a pair of Nitejoggers and 2K boosts to extinction at my day job. The Nitejoggers offering more stability, the 2k boosts offering a lot more cushion. I would rotate between them depending on what I was doing at work that day. Seriously comfortable with my Inserts. (The insert offer no real padding themselves, more of a guide)

I just got a pair to go with a Hamcus fit for that exact reason.
I feel like the “plugs” on the NMD are an aesthetic choice more than any functional one
na it adds more stability
Bruh I’m telling you they are the most comfortable shoe I’ve owned
I don't like the plugs on last model, the boost didn't do it's proper job with them on, it adds stability but over time it starts hurting your heel.
These shoes are all aesthetic not good for workouts or all day use
I’m not a huge tech wear guy, but these are gorgeous and I can’t wait for the market to be oversaturated with them.

I like how Adidas dropped this style boost with the yeezy 380 -> ultra boost 21-> nmd s1! Fan of all 3! I’m all in for a triple white!
The plugs are for caging your foot from rolling. Especially since your foot is sitting in a sock like structure which without the plugs would cause your foot to shift around a lot I would imagine. So that’s my guess it’s to stabilize the foot and prevent you from rolling your ankle.

Love the rubber coating on top of the boost sole. I think it'll helps to prevent the yellowish issue of boost when it ages.

Definitely excited to see what White Mountaineering does when they inevitably collaborate on this model. They always have pretty clean releases.

I love the look of the sole and traction. The logos on the traction is amazing. Looks a lot like what the yeezy 380 should have been.

Those new NMDs are heat
That outsole is sick. Reminds me of the Alexander Wang adidas collabs. Dope footprints in the snow for sure. Hopefully they do a winterized version of these in Gore Tex. The big rubber block is probably for stability and torsional support. Colorways will make or break this shoe. Adidas needs to steal some of Nike or New Balances colorists.
I'm very much here for this NMD S1 design. I think i'd probably wait for some other colorways, i usually don't go for all white shoes and it seems like that's going to be the launch colorway, but once they put out like a black and red or something else with a splash of color i'll be all over it.
The outsole is like some of the Alexander Wang shoes

These have a very futuristic look, even for 2021. I would like to see different color ways, but these look super fire.

I feel like adidas’ design language is changing in a good way even when it was good to begin with
The upper and overall design reminds me of the Terrex Freehikers. It honestly has a decent bit of styling from Terrex in the outsole also, but I'm definitely digging the look/color. Definitely a futuristic feel to it.

The traction pays homage to the adidas boston super x marathon tr which is where this shoe gets its traction from
Omg those nmds are drop dead gorgeous. Im always a fan when adidas uses there adidas originals Logo as the tracking on the sole. Adidas definitely took the nmd to the next level.
Pharell is on it for me, I love his designs for addidas so far
Just saying his new sock shoe that starts with an s is not my favorite thing in the world though his nmds and tennis shoes are dank same with his hightops the human made stan smith shoes feel kinda cheezy

I tried these and it was the most uncomfortable shoe I’ve ever tried. Very tight in the middle on all sizes.

Honestly love the design however I do have some complaints about these shoes and the first complaint is the size, I would recommend sizing down since they do feel big on the foot and my other complaint would be that the plastic of the sole sticks into your foot when your taking your steps witch is very uncomfortable but other than that it would have been an awesome shoe.

I was always iffy on NMDa but theses are hella fire
If they truly look like these, definitely will be a head turner and adidas will make bank 🏦 for awhile. The original nmd shoes are still nice and simple. I’m an ultra boost type of person, but I like the loose light feeling of the nmd. Ultra boost = long time on feet; nmd = errands, hanging out, etc.
Wish they had incorporated the stripes better. But I think caging the boost was a good idea. Hot take: adidas should start dropping boost for their lifestyle shoes.
Love what they did to the midsole. Boost is always nice to have but looks off after some yellowing, it doesn't age well. The vulcanized case adds to the longevity of the silhouette. Most boost silhouette have the appeal of being this futuristic and athletically optimized aesthetic and this really does feel like the next step forward in comparison to how little was changed in the 2021 ultra boost and other NMD models. Really excited to see where this new age of design goes and what comes from the FOG stuff with this already out.
This is probably the sickest colorway I've seen from Adidas IMO. Wish I could scoop a pair of these in 10.5

I feel like if yeezy had come out with this and called it the 1050 V1 or something people would be falling over themselves for a pair. I do like them though I need a triple black to really know.

They took cues from the Yeezy 450s. Check the lace setup and knit setup
All cool until you're busting for a wizz and you step in to a pile of trampcrete in the bushes and it's all in the sole then you have to throw them away.
They should do more of a blocky design with the sole then it would be easier to clean out.

These are ok , but I wish they didn't cage the boost so much . They could of kept the same silhouette without all the caging of the boost .
