My Family spent time there and at Three Rivers for years and years....several decades. Those are some of my BEST childhood memories. I spent a recent Bday there.....not too far down the road. These videos are VERY special, thank you for sharing them!!!❤
I felt bad for you guys- with the hail, and not able to go see the trees! But I like how you stayed positive and looked for the best in the situation. The Reimer stores looked so quaint and fun!
Omg this brings back camping memories as a kid, we would Camp in Kings Canyon and go up to 3 Rivers to visit the brothers at the Monestary, don't know if the Monastery is still there, but soooooooo beautiful, I remember these places, I believe we ate the gateway mind you this was back in the 70's,awwwww thank you so much for my flashback.
Love ❤️ Love ❤️ Love all your videos !!! But this one is so relaxing and we who cannot get out and travel any longer really appreciate you taking us with you guys!!! You all still ROCk !! Love❤️ seeing Pixar Charles !!! God bless y’all!!
I got excited when I saw this video. We lived in Visalia up until 2018 and drove up there all the time. Reimer's is definitely a go-to. It's a nice little day trip.
It was a great town to grow up in. I had friends that worked at the Gateway and ate there all the time. I worked at another restaurant in town that is no longer there. A lot of girls in my school worked at Reimers over the summers.
Several years ago we live up in that area ,in a town called Arnold, at 4 thousand feet, just below California Big Trees. After it snowed and we needed to go somewhere, sometimes even in our 4 wheel drive, you can slide on that icy mountain road. Once we came close to getting hit by another car that was sliding sideways down the hill as we were driving up. So you can’t be to careful. Arnold is a beautiful town, several miles below that is a small town called Murphy’s.. it has the feel that Knots Berry Farm is trying to achieve.. Also in that area is a ghost town called Columbia that has an old Wild West feel. When we lived there they would often shoot movies In both Columbia and Murphy’s, and the surrounding area. You would really enjoy visiting those towns if you have a chance. Safe travels!
I love going out to that back porch of the candy store and listening to the water. If you're lucky, you can sometimes spot a deer or two across the other side of the river. If there's been a lot of snow melt in the Spring and Summer, that water is flowing pretty fast, and it's just as beautiful and peaceful to watch and listen to. Glad you made it to Reimer's...they're the best!
Thank you so much for the wonderful memories. We loved driving from Hanford to three rivers and dining at humming bird inn and the gateway inn. We had planned to rent a cottage at the place next door to the Gate way inn.but family health the next year prevented it. Refiners candy store was always a treat. When I taught 6th grade and one of literature series I made several trips here to encourage some thought. If you are familiar with the story The Lion A and The Wardrobe you and you have been to Reimers you you know what I bought. Refiners was the only store I knew of that sold the candy. YES,, Turkish delight!!, When we arrived at the part of the story when I believe Edmond met the Snow Queen and he all but sold his soul I would let the students try the candy. My question was If you liked the candy very much and you were encouraged to come over to the dark side for more what would you do. Homework assignment was to write in your special diary what you thought and if you wished you share it with us. Interesting thoughts were shared. If you are ever in Tree Rivers stop and sample the candy. Then as an adult ask yourself this ,What would I swilling to sell my soul for. ps sorry about my first misspelling of Reimers. Pops. The last time my sister and I were at three Rivers was wen the school hit appone a fund raising idea. They convinced several people to open their homes for a tour. I read the story on Fridays Fresno Bee called my sister in Santa Clara at the university and she drove over 250 miles that evening to make the tour why ? Because William Shatner who had a horse ranch there at the time had opened the ranch for viewing. A good time was had by all . I know I am writing too much but I also have to mention a home that was especially designed and raised off the ground so that as you entered the main hallway there was a glass section on the floor where you could see creek running below. Now that Three Rivers is flooded we were wondering about that home as well as the damage to the town.
Definitely a place I would like to visit!! You guys be safe, hope Pixar Charlie got home safe. Also, my friend lives in Germany with her husband, and she ALWAYS send me pictures during fall and winter time. I love them! The village they live in is too cute, and their Christmas decorations at the local markets and towns are too adorable.
Spencer and katie Ihope you dont get rain on no good get sick.well have fun. you both might to go swimming in the river maybe cold its okay.have fun anyways christine
What a nice day you all seem to have the view from the restaurant was amazing, how nice and fall looking it was, loved the colors. Mary and I are from back east and they colors for fall are so warming. The stores you went into were so cute and cozy. Glad you had a fun day and that hopefully Pixar Charlie made it home safely.
I definitely love the German store. This is definitely a place that has stuff from my nationality. I know all about the story of the pickle on the tree. I myself followed the pickle tradition growing up.
Hay, Hay! :) Love your videos! Special when you show beautiful country side, farms, nature, and activities. It's like we travel with you guys. Have you done the 395 yet? you should do colab with B&B's and lodges. Lee
I'm sorry that the festivities didn't go as planned but it was still a fantastic video! Honestly, job well done, I always look forward to seeing the shops in town and you captured some really stunning landscape in this episode! ☺️🖤🤘
Know the feeling Dawna!! We were in the park the same day as BLAB and saw all the same people on the video but didn't get to meet them! One week before closure!!
@@tishaandmegan It's such a weird feeling. I am mad at myself for not paying attention to my surroundings. I missed an opportunity that was literally 6 feet away from where I walked from the front door to the patio.
Yay! A glimpse of Patrick! Beautiful scenery. We really enjoyed this video. I have never heard of having to put on chains when you have a 4X4. Most places say Four Wheel Drive or Chains.
Excellent opening shots . I loved the quit rain fall. Outstanding views. sorry Charlie had to leave to early i think he is the 3rd musketeer. Love your videos and so glad you guys take us along with you on vacation. Even though we just got home 2 weeks ago from Disney world. It so nice to see more of the country. You guys be careful and stay safe. And thank you. Bye from Oregon
Our city German museum educates that the German pickle actually started here in the United States. Not that it really matters too much our family has always observed it.
What a bummer - 4 Low doesn’t help with icy conditions unfortunately...much better to be safe than sorry! Still beautiful shots though Spencer! Besides, we need you guys back here for Buena Vista awesomeness!
You absolutely need to go by Sierra Subs & Salads! They have amazing food and have the most friendliest staff. There’s a coffee shop and antique shop next to them as well!
The beautiful tree is a Chinese Pistache Tree I believe. Looks fun you two! We went just 3 weeks ago and the weather was hot and dry. Ate at Gateway too. We loved the ducks on the river there.
It's so crazy to see where I grew up. Eating where I have so many memories. It's so neat. I'm glad you all enjoyed your stay.
The views from that restaurant almost look unreal because they’re so beautiful. That cinnamon ice cream looked soooo good. 🤤
Postcard stuff

Love the fact that you guys actually look at the weather, followed the rules and still had a good day! Thank you for sharing!
I can smell the fresh air!! Can't wait for the first rain! 💙💙
“The cow” used to be a burger stand along 198 just down the road!! They cooked them inside that cow. It closed and that is where it was moved to.
I miss wake up in the morning with my coffe and a marlboro light in three rivers.
Ill try that restaurant next time i visit that beautiful place.
One of my favorite places to go, the best time to go is during the raining times and when it snows out there.
Another great adventure. The scenery from the restaurant just didn't look real. It was so beautiful!
🍁NEON trees are glorious MAPLES🍁
I felt bad for you guys- with the hail, and not able to go see the trees! But I like how you stayed positive and looked for the best in the situation. The Reimer stores looked so quaint and fun!
All you can do is go with the flow as we did and in the end it ended up being really fun
Your hail is like the size of our sleet . Either way nothing to stand in. I enjoy the Chang in weather , trees... be safe

It is definitely beautiful there. 😍
One final thought, you guys should have at least 500,000 subs because you show such great places and do a great job. Stay safe my friends.
Beautiful nature
For a moment I thought Spencer was filming a really big painting 🤯 the scenery is so beautiful!!
Here’s my final, final thought. This video needs more cow bell!
Matt!!! Definitely!!!
It was a great town to grow up in. I had friends that worked at the Gateway and ate there all the time. I worked at another restaurant in town that is no longer there. A lot of girls in my school worked at Reimers over the summers.
Come to Scotland in the Autumn (Fall) and you will see the best wildlife colours ever
This is the best kind of travel. When something doesn’t pan out you get to have other adventures!
We are totally goin with the flow on this trip
I saw the snow on Facebook I can't believe it wow

Spence, your artistic vision is impeccable! You guys should travel the entire country.
Called in sick today (have a cold) and watched this. It was so peaceful and lovely. I wish I was there!
Reimer’s is one of my favorites!!! So glad you guys came to Central CA! We have such amazing scenery all around us!!:)
Youre not kidding! Its beautiful!

Yummy breakfast with beautiful scenery!😍
I’m sorry the weather thwarted your plans but this video made me feel so good. I waited until the evening & had steaming hot coffee while watching!
OMG! That’s the same nativity my mom bought when we lived in Germany! I never thought to see that one again😳🥰
Cow buns! Lol!!!
It’s funny hearing about snow. We have 74 degrees in north east Ohio today. The only thing we have falling are leaves.
Your getaway looks so peaceful!
Definitely a place I would like to visit!! You guys be safe, hope Pixar Charlie got home safe.

Sad to see Pixar Charlie leave😔 The merch search & ice cream was so much fun to watch🥰 Thanks for sharing💖❤️💜
This is the best kind of vacation!
That view is gorgeous at the cafe.
New rule. No ordering breakfast unless you get one and ship it to me, too.
Greetings from Canada The filming and beautiful music in the intro was everything. Great job, loved it
Thank you. Glad you liked it

Great video! Breakfast at the lodge and the shops definitely look like a must do!
I'm sorry that the festivities didn't go as planned but it was still a fantastic video! Honestly, job well done, I always look forward to seeing the shops in town and you captured some really stunning landscape in this episode! ☺️🖤🤘
The details in the shots and the edit was awsome, you make us feel like we are there. Can't wait for the upcoming vlogs.
Thank you!
Personal preference- fried eggs always with hash browns..... so you can mix🍳😉!
Moooofest 😂😂😂😂 love it

So much beauty out there! Katie I love your blue bow beanie 😍
Can’t wait to visit this little town! So quaint and charming! I also really want to try all of the Ice cream flavors 👀 awesome video guys!
Three Rivers is awesome
Yay! A glimpse of Patrick! Beautiful scenery. We really enjoyed this video. I have never heard of having to put on chains when you have a 4X4. Most places say Four Wheel Drive or Chains.
Great video. What a beautiful area! Loved the view from the restaurant.
we need a LOVE button, thank you for bringing us, gorgeous
❤️

Great shots!!!! So much fun.
I can't believe I was there the same day as you and missed you. We had lunch at 11am. Parking was difficult with everyone getting chains there.
Our city German museum educates that the German pickle actually started here in the United States. Not that it really matters too much our family has always observed it.
I loved the editing!!
I live about 45 minutes West from The Gateway. One of my favorite restaurants. The view is beautiful during the spring.
What a bummer - 4 Low doesn’t help with icy conditions unfortunately...much better to be safe than sorry! Still beautiful shots though Spencer! Besides, we need you guys back here for Buena Vista awesomeness!
You found a real slice of Heaven out there. 🧡🍁🍂
You two are very lucky/blessed.
😋 YUMMY
Enjoying your adventure. Snow - always have chains in the Mountains. 4 wheel drive in snow / ice only means you can spin all 4 wheels.
By the way, we have a coo coo clock in our house as well. I definitely have to see this area some day for sure. Thanks for showing this great stuff.
Germany is on my bucket list.
You absolutely need to go by Sierra Subs & Salads! They have amazing food and have the most friendliest staff. There’s a coffee shop and antique shop next to them as well!
Kinda reminds me of solvang, really pretty but cold around Christmas time🤗❤
Love Solvang!
Just to remind Charlie , Outside of The Big City's a Man REMOVES his hat once he sits down to eat . OR AS ADAM WOULD SAY , BEST REMOVE THEM !
I was actually thinking that it looked like the conveyor belt from I Love Lucy too!!
Just looks like Scotland & the same type of weather xx
Chevron gas station safe my life a couple of times.
Awesomeness!
Take a little bit longer of a drive, go to Bakersfield and go to Buck Owens Crystal Palace it is so much fun. That’s if it’s open of course.
The beautiful tree is a Chinese Pistache Tree I believe. Looks fun you two! We went just 3 weeks ago and the weather was hot and dry. Ate at Gateway too. We loved the ducks on the river there.
Next to the pickle ornament was a Cal Bears pennant ornament. Go Bears! Oh, sing, truck, truck, bo buck....uhh...yeah, still happens, doesn't it?
