My vintage CP-70B is probably my favorite instrument I own. Really impressed with how this sounds. I also love that I can sequence it whenever I want to do something beyond my playing capabilities. So glad you've added this to the V Collection!
I guess everyone who loves the real CP-70 already owned some emulation, but I think It had to be part of the Arturia V Collection. Thank you very much for the addition. It's very easy to work with it and sounds great. I particularly love the "Thriving" preset, recreating Mick MacNeil's sound (from the original Simple Minds).
Thanks for the tip on "Thriving"! I had always assumed that Mick just had some kind of stage piano sound but only recently came across tutorials of Simple Minds keyboard songs that mentioned the CP-70 and realized this was something special. However, I am not hearing that in the "Thriving" preset yet. Are there settings that need to be changed to get his sound? I only have the demo version from Arturia at this time but will definitely purchase the V Collection if I can get that sound!
@@CharlieMaselli I think that preset is quite accurate, but of course Mick used diferent effects for each song. I find important to change the velocity in your keyboard or even inside Arturia plugins. I like when I get a good volume whith a small pressure. Don't you forget about sustain pedal. You could also try with a completly sampled CP-70.
@@OndulanteMick used a Roland Space Echo and CE-1 chorus on his CP-70B he’s told me this in person when I asked him about his old rig He sold that piano a few years ago after having it in storage for years.
It’s really hard to get the dynamics of the CP-70B having owning a real one but Arturia have done a great job emulating it but I don’t think you’ll beat the real instrument.
Absolutely love the V Collection X I have had the V Collection since version 4 and as usual, the updates just get better and better love the new version
It sounds pretty good. Like the keyscapes version a little better, but this is pretty nice, tho. Arturia did it again. Would love to see them do the PPG. Wave 3.3. I know there is a VST out already, but would love to see their (Arturia) take on one.🤨🎶🎹👍🏾
This is awesome!! I bought the upgrade just for this one! (I'm still trying to install my 8DIO version with Kontakt... What a hassle and a mess!!! I'm so sorry I bought Kontakt...... @@smashSpikeMC I tend to find most CP emulation used sampling from CP-80s which had slightly longer wound strings and a bit more of an acoustic feel especially at the low end the CP-70 is very clunky on the lower bass strings being shorter and not as much resonance
This is a nice one, but I think we all are looking for new ideas, new sounds, new creative ways to create sounds. The new V-Collection is a bit underwhelming.
Don’t black arturia for a lack of creativity… you have every possible sound at your fingertips… new genres and sounds aren’t handed on a plate to the user… Maybe try using less to achieve more! Not more more more…
Pretty psyched to have a software CP70. Haven’t been aware of any solid ones out there. Definitely new ideas and sounds to be made with it if you’re creative.
