    Current audio equipment list:
    Cambridge AXR-100 Receiver 100 WRMS. (“B” stock)
Schiit Bi-Frost 4490 DAC, which has been upgrade with Multi-Bit and Unison USB. (“B” stock)
    Schiit Lokius EQ (“B” stock)
Schiit Mani Phono Pre. (“B” stock)
Loxjie D-30 DAC just for DSD decoding
Elac Debut 2.0 F-62 Speakers with minor mods, i.e., I removed the grill over the tweeter and added damping material and “No-Rez” to the cabinet.
Fluance RT-84 turntable. I ditched the Ortofon 2M Blue for the Audio Technica AT540ML. The Ortofon sounded ok but the AT cart is really on another level.
All line level cables are from Worlds Best Cable. I primarily use Mogami 2964 Wire and Amphenol ACPL connectors. I also have a few of the Canare L-4E6S, Star Quad, Audio Interconnect Cables with Amphenol ACPR Gold RCA Connectors. I like them both. I started with Mogami as almost very recording studio and arena size system use that brand.
My speaker wires are from Phoenix Gold. About 35 years ago they used to make/market 10 AWG for 9s cooper speaker cable. It is about ¾” in diameter. I have been using them for that long and love their sound.
Miscellaneous items include a small format PC (Core i5, 8GB of RAM & a 256GB internal storage. I also have a remote controlled line level switcher so I can run all my source components through the Lokius.

I remember playing Birdland in High School Jazz band. Jaco became one of my bass idols from that point on.

Thank you Ed for these recommendations, it was my first time hearing Herbie Mann and my jaw about hit the floor with how lovely his music is. Instant fan, your description and detail make a difference.

Thank you so much my friend. I really like Herbie Mann partly because I like the sound of a jazz flute and also unlike stone other styles of jazz his melodies flow. I do love free form jazz as well but I do like his a lot. Try the album "London Underground" it is very cool. Give the pups a pat on the head for me. Thx.

Thanks for the great information and playlist. I love good music no matter the genre. Tidal has allowed me to listen to music my library doesn't have, and love well curated suggestions.

So long since I have heard Muscle Shoals Nitty Gritty mentioned. I think it was recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound a year or 2 before I got there. Fame was the other major studio there in the early 70s; Lots of memories as that is where I went to learn before I started my studio. Loved those analog days. Muscle Shaols was started by musicinas that were the house band and band used on manyy vocalists albums in the 70s. Then mentioning Bird. Thanks for the memories.

My pleasure sir. There is a great documentary on either Prime of Netflix that I highly recommend. The album was recorded on the 9th, 10th and 11th of December 1969. Best wishes and thanks so much.

Great video, Ed. There are so many good songs recorded in Muscle Shoals Alabama that it could be a video on its own.

I'm a new subscriber, via cheapaudioman, aka Randy, as well as a new Tidal user. The whole digital music scene is fairly new to me and can be a bit confusing and intimidating.
I thought that I had more to say, but I guess not. I just wanted to thank you and others like you for all that you do. You've gained a new following from me on Tidal.

Thank you Nathan. I appreciate your comment. Don't hesitate in reaching out to me if you have any questions related to all this digital stuff. I am very happy to help. The best way is to email me at oldguyhifi@gmail.com. I think that everybody in the #camfam will be happy to assist as well. If you are a Patreon of Randy's, then you can also take advantage of the brain trust on his Facebook page. Any way, welcome and thanks again.

Sorry just saw this. Great track. The video was getting too long and it's target audience was non jazz folks. Thanks for tuning in.
