    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Changing side light bulbs is one more simple procedure that you can surely do on your own.
Side light bulbs are the smallest car bulbs in the head lamp. They are the ones that create the dim light when you flip the light switch in to the first position, just before turning on the main headlights.
They are used as day lights or for parking lights (the ones you leave on for better visibility of your car at night).
One more purpose is to serve as backup lights if the main headlights malfunction for some reason.
This alone is reason enough to replace the side light bulbs as soon as possible if they burn out.
As this tutorial will show, you won't need any tools, just a small 5 Watt cap less bulb, your own two hands and some good will.
On some cars this may be an exception as access to the rear of the head lamp and the bulbs is more complicated. In these cases, access to the bulbs may demand additional dismantling of plastic coverings, lids or other kind of installations, even removing the whole head lamp.
In this case, some additional informing on gaining access to the bulbs would be good in order to avoid damaging the car.
We hope this video helps and that you'll be able to solve the side light bulb problem on you car.

Thank you mate for the tutorial!
I was unable to remove front side light bulb in MK1: I tried to rotate it, to push it inside, to pull it backwards. :-(
You give the right method: just jiggle it up-and down!

to see the fitting on THIS vehicle skip to 4:00
Sadly mine is a bit different
(Mazda Friendee Bongo - the plug, with the wiring loom was a 'squeeze one lug, wiggle' operation, but the bit with the bulb still has to be removed,,,)

      Hi and thanks for watching!
Didn't understand the question very well but If you're regarding the video, it's a 5-watt capless filament bulb. They're mostly used for the front position lights.
By the way, nice channel and car tours. Like the Maserati :-)
