If you remove the main bulb it gives you much more room to fit the 501 bulb, always remember to lay a rag between the light and the bumper it will stop you scratching up your bumper . Good video and I most say good job one handed :)

This video (otherwise awesome) fails to mention that you need to also unscrew a white plastic bolt from inside the engine bay.

Cleverly done with one hand! I hope I'm going to manage to do this on my Roomster. Suggest you do this again but with someone holding the camera for you - some bits are pretty hard to see. Grateful to you, mate.

Make sure the bulb holder is well down in its socket like it was before you pulled it out and a tight fit so you don't not have to re due the job, its not always easy putting the headlamp unit back in, common sense says you start with the release lever out, have patience wriggling it about if it gets stuck trying to put it back in, pull out and try again.

God knows why these jobs look so easy on You Tube then for various reasons take ten times longer when you try yourself if you dont break something in the process and dont have to do it all over again because you missed something. Try doing this at minus 10 at night in the middle of nowhere loool

Yes it should be ok as long as you don’t have greasy hands or wear latex gloves.

Both of my sidelights are faulty.
I don't know how your light housings just fell out but I cannot get either of mine to budge after pulling out the clip.
hi sorry i didnt mention in the video but there is a nut behind the headlight which is holding the headlight in place so remove that first. (white plastic nut) then follow the video. P.s this car never had the plastic nut, so totally forgot.

I managed to replace both bulbs only to discover that the VRS model I have doesn't use the sidelights. Although the bulbs are fitted, the VRS relies on the daylight bulbs.
More fool me.
I replaced the sidelights because I had a warning on my dash. However, it turned out to be one of the lights on my rear number plate.

Taj Khan hi you forgot to mention the plastic nut I keep pulling it then had seen another video which shows the nut so please can you delete your clip or update it

I don't get it, how did u removed the black support of the bulb, so easily? I have tried but...still not coming out...
+Martian Danaila due to heat they stuck on so twist and turn it and that should loosen up the holder and then pull! if you got wd40 (maintenance spray) spray that on the holder too and leave it for a minute. Hopefully this should help you pull the bulb out easily 👍

I have used pliers - you get better grasp. It is a little in weird angle for fingers to pull. Just be sensible with a force with pliers and you'll be good.
Maybe you should mention this in your video. You show it with bulb holder removed already.
