You are in centre of Song dynasty which was the time William conquered England.
I used to be in this place about ten years before, Many Chinese ancient poem describe this place and it's really pretty.

Omggg i was at his concert too on his bday in Shanghai!!! And his concert is different in each cities like each city has different set, different performances. He's a really really awesome artist. I went to xihu in summer iirc there's some lotus sprouting here and there and it's really pretty

The famous Chinese mythological story, The Legend of the White Snake, was born on a rainy day by the West Lake. The protagonist had a touching love story due to borrowing an umbrella.

@JoeCreator There is a reimaged prequel of the classic folklore 'white snake origin' (2019), a high quality animated movie, it is not the story per say, but it is good. You should definitely check that out. Spoilers! The ending of the movie is actually the beginning of the folklore. Welcome to my hometown BTW.

Both the legend of white snake and Ji Gong are famous stories happened around the west lake, and also numerous Chinese ancient poets have had written poems about west lake. For every Chinese, a tour to the west lake is also a tour to the fictions, a tour to the literature. Mixture feelings makes the west lake a dream tour for every Chinese. And you can find this kind of mixture of natural scenery, legends and poems almost everywhere among the most famous tourist attractions in China.
