As far as I know, mixed veterancy line is the best one. Bottom until you get the first ammo node (you can pick the blunt damage nodes and go top, without picking this ammo node) and the rest on top
It is the best, range doesn't matter while full dmg has max 3 or 4 throws which is too little compared to how much cc they actually can do with one more throw
Since it is a Hellfire unit, Breakthrough Doctrine and Assassination Doctrine gives them +10% dmg increase to units and you can have both doctrines equiped at the same time. Isn't that better than Unit Damage Doctrine and Hero Damage Doctrine?

you go mixed vet line for coco's for maximum damage
It's a good unit. So much safer during walk defence. You have two of them. Siege towers will never touch the walls.

for note they reduce enemy defense by 6% i belive from burning damage
now with the new unit you will have resupply on the front line :)

The hellfire does seem better but if i read correctly it said "dmg vs heroes". Or maybe was a bug.
I think old unit have difficult missions
but burning damage isnt good on gold unit or purple.I'm going to the land of fire and everything to the bottom
