I think the best system is the one GW2, Sea of Thieves and many others employ. Just make the vast majority of cosmetics paid. If I recall correctly ConqBlade also has paid cosmetics. But they should really end this system where you are compelled to pay for leveling and stat items. As you said, it’s very off putting and it’s why this userbase can’t grow.

Thinking of getting back for some time and also just play it lightly and in a guild setting. But the grind… It will ruin me.

There’s so much that’s cool about this game. But the paying and grinding ruin it.

Honestly the game would be the greatest game ever made if they just had made the game cost in compensation for not needing to grind a lot.

Lot of problems with this game...Every season unitd are fkn OP. Like the new hero and the new gold units. You have to grind daily 6 hours for a month, to get them, if not? You cant play, because season units are 100x stronger than any other unots...This is pay to win...People buy nee units for lot of money, you will grind and at the end of the season you finally get thoose units, and they nerf it...I have like 2000 hours in the game, but dont have time anymore to grind and desire for it, when i see 1 more bandit raid i kill myself...So people, i really have no desirr to start the game anymore...Its all about money...

I noticed maul fell off but I went back to my old build with it, medium armor and the kidnap ult, I gotta say it's fun, the kidnap ult hasn't been meta for awhile so no one reacts if you run at them, and then since units are either you die instantly or they cant kill you, then you just get more damage with abilities in medium

Cav is ruinning the experience of this game , and it's like that since the beginning ... Cav should be aloued only on open battlefields not in sieges ...

I dont like using free units just because they dont count towards progression in a way like "if i use my unit, its gonna get exp" instead

A surrender option would be huge as an attacker

Level 100 as a new player is hard. Because you'll be put togather with other players truly

Last time I ask the same question with my friend, why you don't play the free unit. His answer was he wants to grow with his unit. Lol 😂

Glaive is best use as support and a damage dealer play style. You can support your units with CC abilities, boost their damage and use your horseback abilities to disrupt units and kill range. It's better played with medium armour, and is kind of like a combination of spear and poleaxe. Also breaker of shields is better than arc of steel. It's my most played class, but I switched to longsword.

This season i still using short swordshield because of its, you know doctrine or something makes it powerful but still getting countered by spear shield but its still fun to use it. Could be one of the best weapon in the game❤

I think CB never realized the pandemic is over and players simply don't have the time anymore to do this level of grind. Alot of the people in my original houses have all quit to join other games. Also the lack of innovation (such as a surrender button as you stated) really pisses off players. It feels like CB has no respect for the player's time right now.

Bro, about the outfit being invalid - I just reached level 41 an hour ago and got the purple outfit from the chest for completing quest. I think my rank is high, which is why it's not working

As someone kinda new to the game , i play with men-at-arms, swinefeathers and iron reapers and none of these units have good doctrines, i fail to make a diference in games, as in the new season (and after i unlocked iron reapers, my first tier 5) i find a lot of players with phalanx, spartans and laconic javelins, which render my units useless in almost every case, forcing me to play as support for advances, meanwhile trying to get the kriegsbruders becomes harder under such circumstances, might be my lack of knowledge about the game tho.

Note on getting the max t4 unit it doesn't unlock it in the unit tree. Also i couldn't pick a there veterancy

Heavy Prefecture Cav is definitely not for new players, they are fast and hard to control often requiring you to stand at a high place and X them around the battle field. They're more like missiles then unit.

A good detail about pike: Its skills have no levels. It is already "maxed out" as soon as you unlock it, without having to spend any skill points on it. The only thing is that for unlocking the good ult you have to do an extra challenges page. But I think it is definitely worth it. Also, a tip about playing pike: If you go to the game settings and activate auto lock on on hero, it is like having aimbot, but legally. The effect is brutal with the pike. The only downside is that if you face many heroes at the same time, it is difficult to aim to only one in particular.

I chose imp archers because I already had the other 3 inf units, and also they are very good for doing wandering rebels. However, I would say that the cav is also a very good option for 1 reason: bandit raids. Bandit raids are full of kriegsbrueders / companion cav players that annihilate every troop in the field. That means that only good cav / wuwei grant enough kills consistently to max the exp. Considering how grindy is to get exp in this game, that cav looks like a pretty solid choice to me. Also, bandit raids are the best choice for "X kills in PVE" challenges. If you have to kill 900 units, with good cav/wuwei it can be done in 5-10 raids. Without it, the number raises easily to 20-30

I chose shenji. I have reapers, I don't think winged hussars are the best so shenji was my choice. But now I got to get a veterency reset because it gave me them with the musket line instead of the bomb line.

They should make this permanent. And every month more free unit. For th new players.
