- No experience campervan build, self building my Citroen Relay into my dream campervan to enjoy all the vanlife adventures in the UK.
When converting a citroen relay, i decided to work smarter and think of a logical and strategic way of self building this campervan.
Write down each individual job that requires doing and think of what else that can be done whilst you're preparing or building certain parts.

Hi Dave, thanks for all the great videos, both helpful and entertaining, if you could just advise about the plug and play 240v hookup, I noticed it didn’t have a dedicated earth you need to fit to the van so presumably it earths through the hookup point on a campsite? Not heard of this before? Also does this unit have a built in MCB & RCD like other consumer units you can buy that you would earth directly to the van? Cheers Mark

Massively get an idea of everything!
I remember when I bought the previous camper and this one. Really started to pull me down a bit, lots of research, so many different ones etc etc. Just get Merc Sprinter 🤣🤣

What are the benefits to remove the struts? A lot of people don’t, but I’m considering it
Gives you more clearance if you're putting a double bed in the same way I have. If you keep it in, there's a chance your noggin will touch it

Regards the 240v plug and play, do the blue plugs have a name and have you come across them sold separately.

I haven't came across them sold separately as these were purchased as part of the kit.
I'm sure if you reach out to the company directly, they may be able to inform you more on the sale of individual parts.

Adhesive closed cell foam is a vapor barrier 🤷♂️ taping is unnecessary. Edges are already sealed by adhesive.
Compressing loft insulation eliminates its R value significantly.
