Might be worthwhile starting from scratch with your diagnostics ., try looking at this video guy intelligent auto .2010 mondeo no crank no start , he will guide you through the process , even shows you the wiring diagram . Yours is an intermittent fault , so obviously more difficult to diagnose , but hopefully it will point you in a better direction . Most good diagnostics technitions find the fault with out throwing the parts cannon at it . Also try Ivan at pine hollows he is very clever also I’m just wondering if your fault is wiring related or possibly the pcm .power control module . Just for a laugh try giving it a tap while some one turns the key for you , hope this helps .
@@lawrencesmith4799 Cheers mate, I've actually been down to Intelligent Auto, since they are about 5 mins from where I live. I explained the problem to him and he kinda looked blank and confused lol. After speaking to him ... I was a bit scared by how much they might end up charging me 😅
I’m sure I’ve heard of issues when using the rear wiper wash the pump leaks into the wiring itself and causes corrosion leading all the way to either the bcm or the ecu. Might be a load of rubbish worth a look
We have one of these - to be honest I think they are a bit meh. Nice looking - plenty of room - the drive is nothing to write home about and as they age they get needy. And the subframes rot.
@@brenglover72 yeah on paper they are great, like you say... Size, power, looks etc for the money, it's canny good but they are definitely problematic. I previously owned a 2lt petrol power shift one and I had to pay a grand to get the gearbox repaired.
I wonder if this age Mondeo has the same issue as the older ones, where washer fluid works its way up the wiring loom and up into the BCM and causes issues. Haven’t looked for a while but untied to be on the Ford forums. Maybe check it out.
Common issue all solder needs redoing plenty of people do on eBay for around 50/60£ I would also check relays under fuse box after you have dropped it down as common issue when people kick them but clocks defo issue and they are programmed to ecu so not just replacing them quick fix would need clocks/ecu and keys
Battery voltage is critical on these cars. I had an old battery that would spin and start the engine on my MK4 with no problems at all but still not good enough and produced endless spurious faults on the diagnostics. Changed the battery and all went away. All the computers in the car systems go mad when the power is glitched if the battery can't hold voltage at peak demand.. All manner of apparently unrelated faults occur. Sorry, I am sure you know this already but as you keep swapping the battery just wonder if you really have eliminated that as an issue.
@@piclife1178 yeah the Volvo's are the same... Just with it being pretty much the same car. That wouldn't explain why it works after several weeks of sitting... When the battery isn't charged... Unless it's clearing the faults somehow? Mmm...

BCM module needs replacing mate, common on mondeo when its been left sitting for a while
@@theskylinegtrrr ohh really? I wonder if the ECU is fried... But then the BCM has died/developed problems while sitting in Copart.... Mmm.
Swap the bcm for one with the same part number. Job done
