It is way more beautiful indeed. Success is just some song, singed barely correctly. Failure reeks of pain, it is so pathetic it punches through everything and makes it memorable, the scene becomes what its meant to be: your pain to hear it and profound renewd love for the protagonist.

I was so scared to fail this check, but seeing this makes me realize I shouldn't have worried. 'Failure' would have still been so meaningful, with Harry singing the best he can to such a meaningful song. He tried, and he did it, so even if it wasn't the best performance it was the best effort he could have made and still came with a wonderful result. Failing might even be the better outcome on that check.
