    I’m always using 8gb San disk class 4 cards or the 16 gb PNY. Those seem to work best for me

    Very helpful, thanks. Just starting to use trail cams and I’ve numbered them on the bottom, I always do the two sd cards per camera and I number them to go with the camera.

    Never over look accessories for gear and equipment. You can take an inexpensive bow or even a trail camera and make it more optimal with quality and though out accessories.

    My new 2023 trail camera recommended a Class 10 Ultra High Speed Micro SD card. Yet you say stay away from Micro SD.

    Note: The video will not give you a specific recommendation. It will tell you:
    1. Use only “name brand” SD cards.
    2. Follow your trail camera’s manual’s recommendation for which SD card to use.
    3. Do NOT use micro-SD cards (more points of failure).
    4. Never put the card in the camera while the camera is turned on.
    5. Always format the SD card in the camera before setting it up in the field.
    6. Do a “hard” format of your SD card twice a year on a computer.
    7. Use two dedicated SD cards per trail camera and do not use those cards in any other camera.

    Another important video. I find that because you came out with another version of your original video, some hunters using trail cams, just don’t get it and continue to make the same mistakes. Your original video made me look at SD card usage totally different, and I made the adjustments. Awesome content as always, 👍🙏🦌

    Great video as always. I only use San Disc class 10 cards in my cell cams, they seem to work the best. Also was wondering about that Orange SD card case at the end of the video. Where can that be found? It looks like it holds a bunch of cards

    Can I use more than 32gb micro chip? Please explain. Thanks.

      You should avoid using Micro SD Cards as stated in the video. Also, check the manufacturers requirements. 32gb and under is standard for most Trail cameras.

    Is there any concern about cards that are high capacity? The go-to seems to be 32G but what if I want to soak a camera for months and have it capture photos & hd videos... Would a 256G be too much? Or does that not matter? ... I recently had a spider on the sensor eat up most of storage space. 😒🕷️🕸️

    • @ExodusOutdoorGear
      @ExodusOutdoorGear  2 роки тому +1

      You have to check the compatibility of the cameras. High capacity cards are usually in EXFAT format. The Exodus cameras are only compatible with FAT32 format cards. 32gb and under. You can reformat 64gb cards to FAT32 format and they will work, however. You also need to be cautious on reading/writing speeds. High speed cards can give trail cameras fits in some instances.

      @@ExodusOutdoorGear Good to know! Thank you. Looks like I'll stick to 32G and play it safe.

    One of my trail cams is capable of 26MP but when taking pics using 26MP or 12MP the picture quality is the same when using a photo viewer on my phone, is this normal?

      You bought into a gimmick my friend. Those are Interpolated file sizes. We have lots of content around the MP myth in trail cameras.

    • @zzz7zzz9
      @zzz7zzz9 2 роки тому +1

      Set your cam to it's lowest MP setting, because that's what it truly is likely.
      My cams are for video, so i can just ignore all that bogus advertising anyway. But my older cams are used for pics, and i set them low. There's no difference, but you'll save on storage space.
