This video is by far my favorite video I have ever done! I hope I can keep the bar high for the remaining 4 Kungsleden episodes :D If you want to support me making these videos AND have beautiful abstract art in your home, then go buy some art prints form me! *SHOP WILL BE OPEN UNTIL 30th of JUNE!* -> www.maiulunekund.com/shop
This is fantastic Maiu, this episode is amazing and I'm already so looking forward to finding out how it goes for you and the girls. I'm a long distance walker and you have inspired me to start research on Kungsleden for next spring/summer. Thank you for getting over that discouragement and pushing through all the discomfort, this result is worth all the pain.
Love your videos and adventures. You are a tremendous young lady. I really enjoy watching your trips, the issues you face and solutions you come up with. Snow trips are something of a dream here in Texas, USA. So I'll just enjoy your trips. Good luck. Looking forward to following you. God bless.
I loved the first stage of your vlog. it just shows, how life is, when we cross comfort zones all the time. The rewards are always there for the taking, when being brave. Well done Maiu. 🤗
During some of my long, isolated backpacking trips, I share in your feeling of "Why the heck am I even out here? Why did I choose to do this? What is wrong with me?" 🙂
You are a true inspiration for budding female solo adventurers Maiu. I've been quietly watching these vids since your early days of cheap tarp tips, and I have loved watching this evolution. I've only been husky riding in Sweden once, (its not really something we get to do a lot of in Australia) and while I loved it, your big adventure is on a whole other level!!! It has been a joy to watch your development from the hiking in Estonia, to your NZ trip, your competition win, to heading off to work with the huskies, to van life and now this! Thank you for sharing all your trips and tips with us. I don't generally comment on videos, but wanted to say, whenever you hit that wall, remember that you are breaking new frontiers and giving permission to other women everywhere to follow your lead. :)
Omg, Sherine you are making me cry 😭 Thank you for commenting! This means a lot. If I can inspire at least one woman to go ona new solo adventure they never thought they are capable before, then all my work with the videos is worth it 💙 And I'm so glad you are here sharing this journey, even if silently 😉
I got the lovely print with the patch! I love the painting. It makes me really happy when I see it. You are the one who made me start with watercolor painting and as a thank you I bought a print. 🎉
This is amazing and a dream come true. Greatest video yet, yes. I hope your dogs are both happy and healthy after this trip, its always my worry that I overwork my husky dog since she has to do everything with me, horse riding, biking, hiking often while eating like a bird.... Mine loves, LOVES everything with fat, beef fat, lard, butter, best way to get her to eat is to drain it in fat, so not surprised your girls do too. You are a big inspiration, can't wait for the second episode
Hello ! Je découvre seulement tes aventures sur la Kungsleden maintenant, je vais les regarder en attendant d'aller faire un peu la même chose dans le Jura !
No need to feel "guilt" if you feel better for changing plans. I walk long distances in Scotland and change plans often to suit my mood. I walked a 110 km route last week. I had planned to camp all the way, but the first day I encountered heavy rain and high winds all day..... so I stayed in a "bothy" (restored mountain cottage that provides nothing more than wind and water-tight shelter, free) and felt better setting off next morning. I gave up looking at life as an endurance test many years ago.... ;-) I have enjoyed this video very much, thank you, and envy your walking and exploring in many countries. I look forward to "part II" of this adventure!
That's a very good thing to remeber, life doesn't have to be an endurance test 😀 it's funny actually how we are conditioned to think that the more hard core the hike, the better...
Such a beautifully put together video, awesome effort. Love the music that you chose, fitted well. And, Odezza finding her comfy spots, brilliant! Stay happy!
Can't wait for the next videos! The kungsleden was already on my bucket list, but now I'm thinking I should add it twice to do it in the winter too! It looks pretty amazing! Would have to prepare, though, so far my winter snowshoe hikes haven't gone above 5 days or below -12c, and this seems like a whole other challenge!
You can start by doing a shorter section of the Kungsleden that has cabins for every night, so if weather is good, you can tent, and if not, use cabins. Most people do the shorter sections! It's a good place to start when you don't have arctic winter experience and i have to say, please do it with skis and not snowshoes 😬 There are so many up and downhills, and after struggling to get up, with skis you at least can glide down. I felt SOOO bad for the people doing it in snowshoes 😅
Just fetched two of your paintings, glad that we just finished our hike here in estonia. great video! thank you for sharing such a nice video and experience.
My feet hurt now! One of the worst pain is blisters on ur feet! Linkka & Odessa r awesome!! I know from ur IG posts that Odezza had to take a break from the trail but she started out strong!! I'm anxiously awaiting my print! Can not wait for the next installment of this series and to find out what ur next adventure will be. Stay safe & strong!
Maiu, you are an amazing person. I dislike cold weather so much, I have to force myself to step out of my house when it snows 😊. I will enjoy seeing these videos of this trip, because I could never do this (unless forced) . 😄
Introduced you to my Mum today! She likes your film and I think you've done a great job. Can relate to the challenges you faced on this trip. It's been great to see the video footage after being teesed for so long on Instagram. Look forward to future episodes :)
Mulle täiega meeldivad sellised matkavideod, aitäh et neid teed! 😊 Kuidas su koerad hetkel selle kuumalainega hakkama saavad? 🥵😅

Your trips are so inspiring Maiu! I felt your pain with your blisters - they always cause an issue on a hike. Lovely lovely doggos❤️❤️
Those small blisters can indeed bring so much misery 😮💨
Well done.
Challenges and victories.
Amazing. 🤠

The dogs are all good now, but there was a little issue along the way... But I'll talk all about it when the time comes ;)
That was a quick 28mins, I enjoyed it.
And I love the video with your big adventure! So cool! A big hug for your great, funny and sweet dogs!
Hugs forwarded! ♥

This is stunning! I'm glad to hear that the low point of the trip was sorted (and it didn't sour into a nightmare..) Looking forward to the rest!

absolutely fantastic
Thanks 🥰

I had fun choosing the music, glad to hear you liked it 😊
So impressed! Me and my partner hiked kungsleden last year and that was hard enough. Can't imagine doing it in the winter.
It is hard trail, right!? 😀 so many ups and downs 😅 but my dogs did the majority of the hard work
@@MaiuLunekund some parts can be a challange while some part are just heaven to hike. Truly recommend doing it during late summer 😍

Awesome!
Awesome video.
Awesome! Btw, which sleeping bag did u use?
Wonderful trip! are the refuges open in winter? or at least an unmanaged winter part
The cabins are open from end of February to end of April, the right time to go into the mountains! I did the trip in March-April
Hey, great video. What tent are you using? The Hilliberg Nallo GT??
I had the Fjällräven Polar Endurance 3

Eks koertel ka raske, peamine asi on neid mitte sundima liigutama kõige kuumemal ajal, kui nad seda ei taha.
In what month did you make this trip?
What dogs are they ? Amazing trip!
They are Alaskan huskies! And you are correct, they are amazing ☺️
@@MaiuLunekund thanks for reply
Did you size up with boots or anything?
Yes, I always size 1-2 sizes up with all my winter shoes, including my ski boots.
